Thursday has become one of the worst days in Vice President Kamala Harris' mismanaged and flailing presidential run. Let's take a stroll through a few of the previous troubling incidents and statements so far, and see where it leads.
Team Harris began the day with catastrophic tidings via the poll analysis of Nate Silver...and whispers continuing to swirl like the Sonoran Desert's monsoon winds that the campaign is having regrets about who Kamala picked as her running mate. Democrat veep nominee and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz didn't have things any better, with the revelation of his comments of effusive support for pro-Hamas protesters

In 2019, Vice President Kamala Harris told CNN's Jake Tapper that social media companies "are directly speaking to millions and millions of people without any level of oversight or regulation and it has to stop."
Does it?
Every two-bit authoritarian in history has justified censoring its citizens as a way of protecting them from the menace of disinformation.
But social media sites, contra the reliably illiberal Harris, aren't "directly speaking" to anyone. Millions of individuals are interacting and speaking to millions of other individuals. Really, that's what grinds the modern left's gears: unsupervised conversations.
Take the Brazilian Supreme Court panel that unanimously upheld the decision by one of its justices

On Thursday’s broadcast of “CNN This Morning,” Harris-Walz Campaign Senior National Spokesman Ian Sams stated that 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris supports a smaller increase in the capital gains tax rate than President Joe Biden “to better incentivize the kind of investment in entrepreneurs that we want to see in this country to help achieve some of the broader economic goals.”
Sams said, “[Y]ou have to help people afford to start a business. It costs, on average, 40,000 bucks for someone to start a small business. But the tax deduction is only 5,000 bucks. She wants to tenfold expand that to $50,000

Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign raised more than $300 million in August, more than twice that raised by former President Donald Trump’s campaign.
Harris has been raising significant funds since President Joe Biden announced on July 21 that he would not seek the Democrat nomination.
Two sources familiar with the Harris fundraising totals said that there are plans to hold several fundraisers for Harris’s campaign in September, including possible events in major hubs such as New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and San Franscisco.
NBC News reported:
After the convention, Harris campaign officials said they had raised more than $540 million since Harris took the reins of the campaign.

The father of Colt Gray, the teen suspect in the Apalachee High School shooting, has been arrested, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced Thursday.
Colin Gray, 54, is being charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second degree murder and eight counts of cruelty to children, GBI said. The 14-year-old shooting suspect has been charged with four counts of felony murder. GBI Director Chris Hosey said at a news conference Thursday night that the charges against Colin Gray stem from "knowingly allowing his son to possess a weapon." He was in custody and being held at the Barrow County Detention Center, officials said Thursday.

Remember Joe Biden? It's hard to believe, but despite his escalating dementia, he's still the President of the United States because nothing matters anymore. He's also still speaking publicly on occasion, and on Thursday, he managed to admit the Inflation Reduction Act was a scam.
Why did he do that? The simple answer is that he's senile and doesn't even realize what he's saying half the time at this point. BIDEN: My investments, through my investments, the most significant climate change law ever, and by the way, it is a $369 billion bill, it's called the, we should have named it what it was, at any rate.

It's been a while since Special Counsel Jack Smith's legal team and that of former President Donald Trump faced off in the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C. The 2020 Election case brought by Smith against Trump has been in limbo since it went up on appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court on the presidential immunity issue.
Since the SCOTUS July 1 ruling on the scope of immunity, the parties have made various filings, and Smith has filed a superseding indictment, but Thursday marked the first day the parties were actually back before Judge Tanya Chutkan in person, a fact which Chutkan acknowledged as she greeted Trump attorney John Lauro.

Something is happening in California. After being screwed over by the Democrat Party on their promises of reparations, Black Californians are threatening to sit out 2024 or sabotage it for the Democrats; whether you believe that or not, it is unprecedented that this voting bloc has actually threatened to exercise their political power, albeit small, in this way. As RedState reported, Democrat State Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil decided to change her registration to the Republican Party. Political expediency? Probably, but again, a sure sign that the Democrat stronghold in the state is showing significant fractures. On Wednesday, the party was dealt another blow. Gloria Romero,

As a presidential candidate in 2020, Kamala Harris supported several radical proposals to phase out gasoline-powered cars by 2040. She also supported a mandate that required 50% of new car sales by 2030 to be EVs.
That was when Harris was running against other Democrats who vied with each other to see who was the most hysterical environmentalist and who could ban gas-powered cars the quickest.
This is 2024, and public attitudes toward EV mandates and phasing out gas cars have changed considerably. Seventy percent of Americans oppose phasing out gas cars at any time while demand for EVs has cooled to the point that auto manufacturers around the world are reinvesting

The Meta Oversight Board has come forward with conceivably its most hypocritical ruling since its creation.
The board ruled on Wednesday that the phrase “From the River to the Sea” is allowed on Meta-owned social platforms, despite its anti-Semitic implications. The expression is used by terrorist organizations and radical Islamists to advocate for Jewish genocide and the abolishment of the nation of Israel.
This decision exposes a glaring double standard in the board’s ruthless approach to so-called hate speech, particularly posts about policies relating to transgender and non-binary individuals.

In a high-profile speech set for Thursday at the Economic Club of New York, Donald Trump will lay out a comprehensive economic vision under the banner of “Make America Affordable Again,” aimed at restoring affordability and driving down the high cost of living that many Americans have faced under the Biden-Harris administration.
Trump’s plan focuses on cutting government waste, scaling back regulatory overreach, and unleashing domestic energy production—all pillars he sees as essential to revitalizing the economy.
A centerpiece of Trump’s agenda is the creation of a government efficiency commission,

“Communism is the past,” and “freedom is the future,” former President Donald Trump said while speaking to the Economic Club of New York, blasting “comrade” Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Her values haven’t changed,” Trump said of Harris. “That’s what she wants. So, she told the truth. We’re not going to let this happen.”
“Communism is the past. Freedom is the future, and it is time to send comrade Kamala Harris back home to California, where crime is rampant, and fleeing is the number one occupation,” Trump added. Trump took a moment to paint a picture of Harris’s desires for the country:
By contrast, comrade Kamala Harris
