The campaigns of Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are arguing in advance of their high-stakes Sept. 10 debate over whether microphones should be muted except for the candidate whose turn it is to speak. While it’s common for campaigns to quibble beforehand over debate mechanics, both Harris and Trump are under pressure to deliver a strong performance next month in Philadelphia. The first debate during this campaign led to President Joe Biden’s departure from the race.

Typical twisting of the truth by the AssPress. Harris is trying to change the already agreed-upon rules because she is afraid to face Donald Trump and he is calling her out on it.

It is NOT Trump who is the problem it is Kammie the empty headed dimwit who is trying to change the rules to advantage herself! Now she wants "notes" which are no doubt the answers to the questions she is provided with before the debate! I hope Trump tells her to either abide by the original rules or go to hell! I saw he says it doesn't matter but it feels like he is too accomodating to her. S*rew her and ABC!

If Kamala says, like she did to Pence, "I'm speaking" Trump should respond with "NO WONDER 92% of your staff left". ("Do you speak that way to other world leaders? Maybe they will walk out on you too").

Wasn't it Commie Kamala who insisted that the debate go on as agreed with Biden and called Trump a chicken for suggesting changing the rules back then? Trump ultimately agreed to keep things as is. Now, Kamala, in a schizophrenic twist, Kamala wants to change the same rules that she had insisted on keeping. Kamala's stance on debate rules is about firm as her stance on any policy issue. It changes with the wind.

Kamala MUST participate in this debate or the ignorant democrats will go on thinking that she is a viable candidate. Most of them can not connect her joyful, cackling glee to the communistic, socialistic, dictatorial reign of terror that she has in mind for them when they pronounce her Queen of the World. This woman is dangerously stupid.

I’m surprised they put her name first in the headline. She is the one trying to get out of the agreed upon format-he’s not agreeing to that so AP sees it as a squabble. If it were the other way around you can be sure Harris’ name would be nowhere near this headline.

I'd like to blame only the Ass Press on this, but a funny thing happened on the way to the local weather this morning. I hardly ever watch news on television, even the "local" news. Whelp, I decided to try and catch the weather on the local station at 6 AM today since we are in for some rain. Lo and behold one of the first things mentioned by the "local" anchorman, President Trump may back out of the debate with the Cackler. Of course, they didn't say "the Cackler". No, no, she's a viable, thinking VP who happens to be running for president, and that chicken Trump might back out of the debate. Not one peep about Cackles wanting to change the rules. Nothing, nada, zippo. I couldn't change the channel quick enough to the Billiards channel. Just a reinforcement of how much most of the news is part and parcel of the Demonrat Party.

Same with the Australian press #16. The nail how ridiculous Harris/Walz is and how the press here sucks up to them. I was laughing myself to the point of my sides hurting watching clip of CNN hosts trying to make excuses for Harris and her obvious fear of a debate with PDJT. Dimwits like The MEG from the Always Propagandists is of course just like them.

How quickly our views evolve! A few years ago, when Elon Musk was giving millions in support to Barack Obama, Democrats thought he was just fine. Now they see Musk as a racist, a danger to the world order, and a threat to Democrats. The left was already upset with Musk for purchasing Twitter (“X”), and for allowing the Orange Menace et al. to air their views on that website. Recently, Musk did three more things that rankle Democrats: he re-posted a meme that makes fun of Kamala Harris; he talked with Trump for two hours in a conversation seen by millions on the “X” platform; and, most dastardly,

The "mainstream" media messaging machine spent the whole Democratic convention channeling the notion of "reintroducing" Kamala Harris to America, relying on the assumption that vice presidents are only seen and not heard. For all the journalists who suddenly want to channel the same aspirational biracial narrative that marked Barack Obama's march to the White House, we must note that these autobiographies can be heavily shaped and edited, which is why the word "reintroduction" should land like a brick. Obama's "autobiography" was riddled with fictional elements, even composite girlfriends.

Stunning new video shows what a proposed glitzy $12 billion casino complex in Hudson Yards will look like while walking the High Line. The animated rendering of the ambitious Manhattan project by Related Companies and Wynn Resorts is partly aimed at countering opposition from advocates of the High Line park and other critics who claim the plan would be too intrusive and obstruct views. The video tries to make the case that the proposed complex — including a 5.6 acre park and spacious greenery between and around the buildings — actually blends in well with the High Line and the waterfront.

Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, may be the current world-class champ of presidential-family shady dealings, but not for long. If Kamala Harris wins the White House, her brother-in-law, Tony West, who is married to her sister Maya, is poised to claim the crooked crown. Like Hunter, West learned his craft in the Obama years. Then head of the Justice Department’s Civil Division, he invented a new form of what 19th-early 20th centuries Tammany boss George Washington Plunkett famously called “Honest Graft.” It was simple. Until 1977, Congress had to approve any settlement of a civil suit against the Federal government over $100,000.

A year into Barack Obama’s presidency, Sarah Palin, a former Alaska governor and John McCain’s 2008 running mate, mockingly asked a Tea Party gathering a question: “How’s that hopey, changey stuff working out?” The roomful of conservatives howled with laughter because by then, Obama’s dreamy campaign motto of “Hope and Change” had been replaced by hard policy lurches to the far left. The Palin question is a piece of history 2024 voters should keep in mind as they assess Kamala Harris. The parallels between then and now are striking. Like Obama, the Democrats’ current nominee has been maddeningly elusive about what she would do as president.

While the law, originally signed in 2023—following a shooting by a former student at a private school in Nashville—was recently amended to direct schools to expel students only for "valid" threats, the provisions of the law are still vague, and schools have considerable enforcement leeway.

High LDL (otherwise known as ‘bad’) cholesterol is considered a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke, which together claim over 850,000 lives each year in the United States. But is cholesterol—and LDL cholesterol in particular—really the arch enemy of health that we’ve been led to believe? “A person that has good, healthy levels of cholesterol means that their biochemical system is working in this particular spot—in terms of cholesterol regulation and (cholesterol) transport,” says biochemical researcher, Dr. Dayan Goodenowe.
