I recently traveled by car to Baltimore to seek medical testing at Johns Hopkins Medical Center.
I was shocked to see the many empty and boarded-up buildings between the Inner Harbor area, the athletic arenas for baseball, and football and the Johns Hopkins Medical campus.
We stayed at the hotel located at the north-east corner of the campus, which was very pleasant. Hospital security staff advised us to avoid the subway system between the harbor and the campus and to not walk that distance, though it is only a little more than a mile.
We used an Uber service on this advice between the hotel and the harbor.

Maybe you remember this one from The Godfather movie:
Michael Corleone: My father made him an offer he couldnât refuse.
Kay Adams: What was that? Michael Corleone: Luca Brasi held a gun to his head, and my father assured him that either his brains or his signature would be on the contract. Thatâs a true story.
Donât mess with Luca. He is dead serious when he has a gun pointing at your head.
It reportedly turns out that former President Obama can be dead serious when he is pointing the 25th at your presidency.

The Secret Service rejected FOIA requests for records related to the attempted assassination against President Trump.
Would-be assassin Thomas Crooks, 20, managed to evade state, local and federal law enforcement officers, climb on a roof and take 8 shots at President Trump during his Butler, Pennsylvania rally on July 13.
A bullet grazed President Trumpâs ear after he turned his head at the last second to read a chart on illegal immigration.
Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch filed three FOIA requests

It is a crazy time to be alive. We have economic uncertainty, threats of war, political violence, and social turmoil. An assassin nearly took President Trumpâs life. Puppet President Biden has been recycled for a younger model. The Olympic Games openly mocks Christianity and celebrates transvestitism. The EU, Russia, China, Iran, Israel, and the U.S. are all tiptoeing toward a little nuclear tĂȘte-Ă -tĂȘte. Apprehension saturates the air.
Still, if you were a time-traveler from the future surveying the world as it unfolds today, you might whisper, âWhat an amazing time to be alive.â

On March 19, 2021, UCLA student Christian Secor learned that the Department of Justice planned to keep him in jail. A month earlier a federal judge had denied Secor bond after a D.C. grand jury indicted him on ten counts of nonviolent January 6 mischief.
Secorâs alleged offenses, argued Assistant U.S. Attorney Kimberly Paschall, âfrom him pushing on a crowd of people to breach the Rotunda door to sitting atop the Senate dais in the chair occupied minutes before by Vice President Mike Pence,â merited pre-trial detention.

The greatest threat to the survival of the United States as founded is not offshore but within its borders: the Democrat Party controlled by the Obama-led Marxist faction. Indicative of this dominance are the machinations surrounding the 2020 and the 2024 elections, which has brought this wing of the party to the final stages of achieving its long-term goal of transforming America into a one-party socialist oligarchy.
The American Left has long understood that in order to transform the United States, they would have to control one of two major political parties.

One of the challenges of defeating Kamala Harris is figuring out just what to slam her on. There are so many powerful lines of attack to use against this leftist hack that it takes some consideration to figure out which is the most effective. But already, some Republicans are trying to help leftists place some of the most potent attacks are being put off limits. Weâre being told there are certain things we just canât say about her. Weâre not supposed to mention that sheâs a goofy weirdo with an evil laugh. Weâre not supposed to mention sheâs an incompetent DEI hire.

The two greatest demographic bulwarks of the modern Democrat Party are urban blacks and suburban college-educated women. The first is a true mystery, given the degradation of our cities under 70 years of straight Democrat control. The second, though, is a less explored, greater mystery for at least one large subgroup: Those suburban college-educated women with children.
Over the last 40 years (and accelerating over the last 15), there has been a significant decline in all types of education metrics in the US. Math scores. Reading scores. And try to get the average high schooler (or even college student) to write you a structured, grammatical, and coherent paragraph!

Kamala Harrisâs inability to hold onto staff due to her allegedly toxic behavior and accusations of bullying is common knowledge.
Open the Books reports Harris had a 92 percent staff turnover during her first three years. Only four of the initial 71 staffers hired by Harris during her first year in office still remain in a job. The rest either quit or were fired.
One former staffer told the Washington Post, âItâs clear that youâre not working with somebody who is willing to do the prep and the work.â
âWith Kamala you have to put up with a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism and also her own lack of confidence.

The Justice Department agreed to pay former FBI special agent Peter Strzok a $1.2 settlement over the release of his anti-Trump text messages.
Peter Strzok sued the DOJ for âunlawfully disclosingâ his text messages to his paramour Lisa Page.
Strzok and Lisa Page discussed an âinsurance policyâ to keep Trump out of office.
âI want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andyâs officeâŠthat thereâs no way [Trump] gets electedâŠbut Iâm afraid we canât take that risk,â Strzok text messaged to Page in an Aug. 15, 2016 exchange, referring to Andrew McCabe.

Matt Driscoll, a 43-year-old columnist and opinion editor for The News Tribune (TNT), died unexpectedly at his Tacoma home this Sunday.
Driscollâs death was announced by his news network.
âWeâve lost a friend and beloved colleague, but Tacoma and Pierce County have lost someone who never stopped caring,â said fellow TNT writer Sean Robinson.
Washington Governor Jay Inslee (D-WA) also paid tribute to Driscoll on social media. âTacoma still has the Rainiers and the Narrows Bridge, but our City of Destiny has a hole in our hearts at the loss of Matt Driscoll. What a big heart and an insightful pen he gave us. I miss him already,â wrote Inslee.

Dr. Ben Carson recently sat down with Tucker Carlson, and the two discussed several topics, such as Joe Biden dropping out of the 2024 race, the Trump shooting, Kamala Harris, and much more.
Kamala Harris was brought up when Tucker asked Dr. Carson, âWhat do you think of Kamala Harris?â
Carson responded, âI think she is a politician. And sheâs interested in the accumulation of power and control.â
Tucker asked Carson again, âDo you think she believes in anything?â The former HUD Secretary answered quickly, âYes, I think she is a Marxist.â
Tucker then asked Carson a very important question: âDo you think Kamala can win?â
