A leader and co-founder of the powerful Sinaloa Cartel is in U.S. custody thanks to a stunning betrayal by one of the sons of imprisoned Mexican kingpin Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán Loera, a source told CBS News. The arrest of Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada ended more than four decades of his leadership of the deadly criminal organization he founded with Guzmán Loera, who is serving a life sentence in a maximum security prison in Colorado after being convicted in 2019 of charges including drug trafficking, money laundering and weapons-related offenses. One of El Chapo's sons, Joaquín Guzmán López, 38, allegedly duped Zambada into boarding a plane on Thursday,

Comments:

Anti-narcotics police in the US government had already either arrested, or gotten to, Los Chapitos, or the sons of El Chapo. Joaquín Guzmán López, El Chapo's son, probably had to make a deal to keep him and his brothers out of a pinebox sentence. El Mayo has been running around free for over forty years, had said he'd commit suicide rather than go to prison. That didn't happen. This killer will wind up in supermax somewhere. Slick operation.

"A senior law enforcement official described the arrests as a "let's see if this works" kind of operation that sprung into motion in recent days", There are three terms that may apply here..."Kidnapping", "Human Trafficking", and "Unlawful Rendition". The Obama/Biden/DOJ has shown a marked propensity of "Breaking the Law to enforce the Law", particularly timed for Political Expediency, News, and Leverage. Who was the pilot? FBI? CIA?

Despite what the news media is trumpeting, this is not a "major blow" to the carter's operations. Nothing will change along the Southern Border. Nothing, because those with power (not authority - power) don't want it to.

There is a scene in Sicario where they have just captured the Cartel Leader and carried him back across the border...the agents go up on a roof top as the sun goes down to watch Juarez at night explode into gunfights, bomb and rocket attacks as the remaining members fight for who will now take over..

#5 is undoubtedly correct that taking these two "drugpins" out of circulation won't have any effect on the amount of deadly product being moved into the USA. There are other cartels moving product, and they're just as evil as Sinaloa. Equally violent individuals will kill their way to the top of the Sinaloa cartel to take the place of El Mayo and the family of El Chapo, hoosegow bound. There's too much money involved for the cartel meat grinder not to get fired up. As long as there's a demand for the bad thing, it will be supplied by someone. However, this IS a "major blow" to the personal fortunes of the two significant passengers on the airplane that landed in Texas. The younger one had turned rat but both must go down. There's a lot of spilled blood on their hands. Very evil people sometimes get what they deserve, sometimes not. C'est la vie. ["Drugpins" was, I believe, an elocution of GHWB. I rather liked it. Good idea for a hip bowling alley.]

Key West, Florida — In quirky Key West, Florida, it's not just tourists flocking to town, feral chickens have found their tropical paradise. And Key West City Commissioner Clayton Lopez has got a beef. They're "everywhere," he says, with entire chicken families often seen crossing roads. A resolution introduced by Lopez, which is now law, bans feeding chickens on public property. "What I am looking to do is to try and address the health issues of humans, as well as the chickens," Lopez said. The chickens can cause property damage and their droppings can spread disease. The chickens are sometimes run over by cars, and chicks can fall into storm drains.

It's been a week since Joe Biden left the presidential race, and he's barely been seen in public. After a fumbling Oval Office address on Thursday in which he failed to offer any explanation for his sudden departure, the president headed off to Camp David. That would be the same Camp David he hid out at before the debate performance that exposed his worsening mental and physical condition. In other words, his heading back to hunker down there is a pretty big sign of how bad off he is. Biden just suffered the most embarrassing moment of his career, clearly due to worsening health.

Democrats and their compliant media were trying to spread the narrative that former President Donald Trump was backing out of debates with Kamala Harris. What the Trump team actually said was that because of all the machinations that the Democrats had put on with shoving Joe Biden to the side and then some trying to anoint Kamala Harris without even a primary vote for the position, it wasn't officially clear yet who the nominee of the party is, and that they shouldn't be wasting their time setting up anything until there was an official nominee. (X) That's not "backing out." But that shows the bias of the media once again.

First of all, some perspective on polls. I have had some experience with polls and pollsters during my time in the media. The results of any poll are dependent on, among other things, the demographic contacted, the number of people polled, the questions that pollsters ask, and the way they phrase those questions. And it is not unheard of for organizations to conduct polls to obtain a desired result. So it is always wise to take the results of any poll with a few shakers of salt. Be that as it may, if the information about a recent poll that the Daily Mail highlighted is at all indicative of the

This might be today's most overlooked story, but let me pause here a moment to remind you that the more absurd the first sentence is in one of these 2024 election reports, the more likely it is to be 100% true and not an exaggeration in any way, shape, or form. There's an old saying. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Especially in the sordid, cutthroat world of politics, it can get pretty discouraging when... But wait, look! Donald Trump was nearly assassinated! Surely the country will unite and come together! Surely the Democrats will ease off on the unhinged invective! Nope. Less than two days later, some on the Left were peddling conspiracy theories that QAnon would reject as too ludicrous. Others lamented the fact that not only did Trump live, but the incident would also boost his standing. The Left does nothing if not keep its eyes on the ball of absolute, uncontested power.

Two people familiar with the matter told Politico that the president is likely to endorse establishing term limits for justices, and bring in a code of ethics. The 81-year-old is expected to push for an amendment that would limit immunity for presidents and other officeholders. His amendment would come directly after the court ruled that presidents are shielded from prosecution for officials acts, in a case brought by Donald Trump.
