Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) praised the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Paris, France, as being “imaginative, inventive and memorable.” The opening ceremony featured an opening dance number that showed women being “flung around on poles,” while another dance number showed three dancers, two men and a woman, who had been dancing through the streets, going up the stairs of a building as they began kissing. The dancers then went into a room and began to kiss some more. Lady Gaga also sang French songs in a prerecorded opening, while Celine Dion sang from the Eiffel Tower.

Ah, shut up, Mitt. SLC has already been awarded another Olympics. Quit pandering. Trying to look on the bright side, but perhaps the utter depravity on display opened the eyes of a lot of Americans who really were out of touch with what we’ve been yelling for years. I can’t imagine sitting down with the kids ready to celebrate what once was the most exciting of all athletic events, and having to explain this sacrilege.

I don't care what Romney says. Still, although I didn't see the whole thing, what I did see was inventive, creative, unique, memorable, etc. There was something I heard that they were going to have transvestites carry the flame. If so, that was a terrible idea. But I am only speaking of what I saw. It was good. I have a soft spot for Paris. My wife and I are one, because, in part, of Paris. The ceremony did Paris well.

Apologies for the second post. I got an unexpected visit from my young grandson. Pierre Delecto never fails to disappoint. He took a look at that metaphorical emperor and was either too enlightened or too cowardly to see anything but his fancy, new clothes. In reality, we were entreated to a man’s exposed berries on live, international television. She’s consistently defended his handling of the border crisis. I don’t need to tell you voters overwhelmingly disapprove of how the Biden-Harris administration has handled the border by giving the nomination to one of the leaders of the border effort. So aren’t democrats doubling down on one of your party’s biggest vulnerabilities?”

President Joe Biden announced he was ending his reelection campaign a week after meeting in Delaware with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. But the New York Democrat won't say if he privately urged the president to step aside. Reports emerged earlier this month that Schumer, 73, was joining the lengthy list of Democrats pressuring Biden to drop out, but he has not confirmed whether this is true and kept up the act during an interview on Sunday. CBS Face the Nation host Robert Costa pressed the senator and said it was important to know for 'history's sake' whether he had such talks with the President.
