Joe and Jill are goners who won’t go

Joe Biden just delivered the worst televised debate performance in history. It started in his opening remarks when he hurriedly regurgitated a canned speech like a nervous 11th grader in speech class, it continued into the early stages when he repeatedly suffered brain freezes in describing, for example, how he “beat Medicare,” and finally ended mercifully with a forgettable conclusion. Even – especially – Democrats were stunned by his awkward, rambling incoherency and open-mouthed, vacant stares into space. If this were a fight, a TKO would have been called in the first round. If this were softball, the Ten-Run Rule would have been invoked in the first inning.

This is another tribute to Trump's political acumen. I was frankly wondering why he agreed. One sided, unfair rules, biased hostile moderators. Wasn't he walking into a den of lions? But I think he knew that all it will take is to force them to bring Joe in front of the people. Drugs and all. The lies of four years were washed away in the first four minutes. The rest was just confirmation.

OK, why would Dr. Jill Edith Wilson leave the pomp and circumstance when she can be Queen for four more years. She's not on JRB's depends detail so she doesn't have to change and clean Joey Baby. She's in charge, IOWs screw BHO's fourth term in office.

Well written, Glenn. The problem with democrats (if you had to choose just one!) is that their primary goal is to put a democrat into every office without choosing an effective person or at least a wide-awake person. The number of DEI goons around the country is astounding with people like the string of New York, Chicago and Los Angeles mayors, the governors of Illinois, Michigan, again, New York. They are filling slots, not choosing leaders and the results reflect that. Joe and Jill are like ticks and will have to be pulled out, as will Kamala, who has never had such a lofty position in her life and will hang on to it until she is dragged out. The fact that the DNC has not planned for this and had a Plan B ready shows you just how little thought and planning goes into whatever they do while in office.

Trump agreed to this debate not out of arrogance, braggadocio or bravado but out of supreme confidence that he would beat Joe like a lazy old mule and that's exactly what he did, as expected. I expect that he will laugh at Joe's challenge for a second debate and say "don't waste my time." It took Joe eight days of paid presidential time to prepare for Thursday's debate, imagine if he had done no studying, practicing, prepping, memorizing or drugging. We might have witnessed his final collapse.

Joe and his minions wrote the debate challenge expecting that Trump would say no. That was mistake #1. Mistake #2 was not including that Trump had to show up in a clown suit, wearing a fake red nose and oversized shoes.

IMHO there won't be a second debate. Joe will be even worse by September and Trump has nothing to gain by another one. Just leave the country with the lasting impression that Joe is unfit to be POTUS, physically or mentally.

As Lara Trump said on Maria Bartiromo's show this morning, almost all the attention has been on how bad Biden was and not on how good her father-in-law was. And she is correct. Of course, Charles Gasparino was on one of the Fox Business shows last Friday and as typical for him, said that Trump wasn't all that good - just that Biden was worse. I paraphrase.

Well, as a Conservative, I was SHOCKED by Biden. I knew he was bad but on Tuesday he was horrible. Some of his handlers had to KNOW he could be that bad. Yet, they trotted him out to completely implode his reputation, his campaign, the dem party, and the propaganda media. Biden resigning will not rescue the dems. The stench of the exposure and the breadth of the players involved will not be forgotten by most voters. Plus remember, Biden was the "best" the dems could do in 2020. He only won through gross lies and cheating. The talent pool for the dems, if anything, has shrunk. Several of the 2020 players are in the administration, have been tested, and have made fools of themselves (cackle). On top of all that, the legal challenges in removing a candidate and putting in a new one may be insurmountable for many states. Dems could be locked out of several key battleground states. It seems the dems will, at long last, pay the price for their perfidy. Hopefully the electorate will remember this lesson for quite a while.

If the Deep State wants the Bidens out, the Bidens will be out. Like Nixon, they will make him an offer he can't refuse. Likely, overwhelming evidence of taking bribes from a foreign government.

Is Joe Biden Dying? 9 replies

I’ll just give the facts: He’s 81-years old. He’s shown a distinct decline in his physical and mental state. The White House announced last week that he has COVID. He was pushed out of the presidential election by people who are familiar with his physical and mental state. He has essentially disappeared since then – for over 48 hours. He apparently traveled to the vicinity of Las Vegas. There are reports that he suffered a medical emergency there, and emergency assistance was called. His handlers refused the assistance, and instead flew him back east, according to local authorities.

Readers will recall that a couple of weeks ago, I started a pool to predict Joe’s dropout date. First prize was a day or evening of hiking and drinking with me around, or in, Aspen. (There’s no truth to the rumor that second prize was two days, and third prize was three.) The pool filled and flooded, the dam burst, and I was deluged with more predictions than I can shake a Speedo at, through my two websites and by direct email correspondence. My own prediction was too early by over a week, so at least I won’t be drinking alone.

One of three things happened this afternoon. Either (1) the Lord Almighty told Joe to quit the race, or (2) the polls said there was “no way” he could win, or (3) he got hit by a train. Because he assured us over the last weeks – most recently the last few days – that those were the only things that would cause him to quit. I suppose there’s one other possibility that he neglected to mention. Barack might have told his butt boy to get the hell out, else Barack would spill the beans on Joe’s family business. So . . . Joe did what Joe had to do.

Economists – who have predicted seven of the last four recessions – will tell you that trade tariffs are bad. The reason tariffs are bad is that they make imported goods more expensive. The money for the tariff has to come from somewhere, so it gets built into the price of the product. So, the effect of an American tariff on, say, televisions made in China is to raise the prices to the American consumer. OK, I buy that. But what does that mean in real life? It means that a family in Peoria that would like to buy a 60” TV might have to settle for a 52” screen.

I won’t compare the events of last Saturday afternoon in rural Pennsylvania to the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. I have a weakness for melodrama, but that’s a bridge too far even for me. But the renewing effect of a near-death experience is old and powerful in literature and life – perhaps especially when the near-death is out of the blue. There’s no anticipation, no nervousness, no preparation. The entire reaction occurs after the event is already over. Then, safe and sound, the person whose corporeal self was nearly extinguished is completely and intensely alive. The only evidence that he nearly departed is his shaking head and trembling hands.

President Joe Biden continues to resist calls from Democrats to quit his flagging reelection bid, and continues to accede to prayers from Republicans not to. Instead, he has set some pre-conditions on quitting that he figures will never be fulfilled. “If the Lord Almighty came down and said, ‘Joe, get out of the race,’ I’d get out of the race,” he said last week. At his rare press conference a few days later, he said he’d quit if the polls said, “There’s no way [he] could win.” He followed that up with “No poll says that” in that creepy, corny stage whisper he has affected.

What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger — Friedrich Nietzsche Back in the 2016 election, Donald Trump was a bit of a joke. He was a flamboyant, pussy-grabbing, orange-haired, reality show-hosting, real estate tycoon with improbable aspirations to be President of the United States. Just before the election, the New York Times gave him about a 4% chance of winning. Assigning those odds was not just the Times’ effort to inform their readers. It was also an effort to crush him. They came not just to condemn Trump, but to bury him. Imagine their chagrin when Trump proved them wrong. Imagine, too, the chagrin of Hillary Clinton and the rest of the establishment.

Bush, Bob Dole, George W. Bush, John McCain, and Mitt Romney. Never mind that Hitler’s party was the National Socialist German Workers’ Party. In the greatest rebranding coup of history, today it’s not the socialist Democrats but the capitalist Republicans that are deemed just like the National Socialist German Workers’ Party. No, this piece is instead for my Republican friends who still refuse to support the party’s soon-to-be nominee in the presidential race against Joe Biden (or whomever).

Last night’s softball interview with Democrat flack George Stephanopoulos did little to quell the calls for Joe to drop out in the wake of last week’s catastrophic 90-minute cognitive test, a test on which he crashed and burned and his ashes were buried.

I always see it as a challenge. At the end, I’ll remind her impishly, “Didn’t you intend to ask me what the three words are?” “Oh, right,” she’ll reply. That’s my cue:

During her testimony, Cheatle admitted that sometimes radio communications between Secret Service details are recorded, but “we do not have radio communications” from the day of the assassination attempt.

Joe Biden’s decision on Sunday to bow out of the presidential race clears the path for the country to elect its first woman and first woman of color as president. Even though the electoral fundamentals for this year’s election have always favored the Democrats – despite what numerous misleading polls have been showing (and with most of the news media reacting purely off those polls) – Harris’s selection will largely shore up the weaknesses that were dragging down Biden’s poll numbers.
