Joe Biden’s campaign planned to bury Donald Trump in an avalanche of cash.
Instead, his allies are bracing for a slugfest without the benefit of a fatter wallet, as financial reports showed Trump outraising Biden in back-to-back months, hauling in huge sums after his 34 felony convictions and erasing Biden’s longstanding financial edge.
Democrats in recent days largely downplayed Trump’s new financial lead in the same way Trump’s allies had when Biden was running ahead in the money race — saying the president would have enough money to compete.
But privately, several Democratic strategists and donors were reeling.

Environmental/Social/Governance (ESG) investing is one of the most repellent fads of recent years. Happily, the Telegraph reports that a decisive turning point may have been reached: “How the ‘woke capitalist’ gravy train came to a juddering halt.”
First, some history:
While the acronym only rose to prominence in the City in the last five years, ESG has been around for far longer. The term was first coined in 2005 in a UN report called “Who Cares Wins”, which argued that companies where bosses behaved ethically would deliver better returns for shareholders.
That could be true, although I can’t imagine how you could demonstrate it empirically.

Tyler Cherry, the newly appointed White House communications official, has apologized for some of his past tweets, which included a post that compared police to “slave patrols.”
Tyler Cherry found himself in the center of a social media firestorm over the last week when past posts resurfaced that featured him espousing extremist rhetoric. It came after he had been promoted to Associate Communications Director in the Biden administration. Per Newsweek:
The controversy erupted shortly after Politico reported Cherry’s promotion from his previous role as communications director at the Interior Department.

International Brotherhood of Teamsters President Sean O’Brien will speak at the Republican convention next month in Milwaukee.
Former President Trump announced that O'Brien accepted his invitation to speak.
This is the post on Truth Social from Trump:
Sean O’Brien, the General President of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, has accepted my invitation to speak at the RNC Convention in Milwaukee. Our GREAT convention will unify Americans and demonstrate to the nation’s working families they come first. When I am back in the White House, the hardworking Teamsters, and all working Americans, will once again have a country they can afford to live in and be respected around the world.

To listen to the Biden administration, the situation with electric vehicles is going swimmingly. People love them. Government subsidies make them more affordable. As a bonus, you get the pride and satisfaction of knowing that you're doing your part to rescue Mother Earth from carbon emissions or whatever. But according to a recent survey from McKinsey and Co. conducted this month, people remain unconvinced, particularly in the United States. They polled EV owners in nine countries and found that 46% of American owners of EVs want to switch back to gas-powered cars with internal combustion engines. There were lower levels of dissatisfaction in some other nations, but nearly half

As RedState’s Bonchie reported Sunday, the fact-checking site Snopes for reasons known only to themselves decided now would be a good time to debunk the myth that then-President Donald Trump called neo-Nazis and white supremacists “fine people” in Charlottesville, VA, in 2017.
Of course, anyone who pays attention to news sources other than the New York Times and MSNBC has known all along that Trump’s quote was bastardized to make it sound like he said something he didn’t actually say, but the mainstream media and the Biden team has run with the falsehood for years now.
Bonchie explains how the deceitful quote so moved Biden

A mob of climate protesters stormed the 18th green at the Professional Golf Association’s Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Connecticut, on Sunday afternoon during a pivotal closing moment, setting off colorful smoke bombs and preventing play from continuing.
As Scottie Scheffler prepared to take a putt to win the championship, play was interrupted as the protesters charged onto the green. Police immediately descended on the mob, tackling and handcuffing the protesters as the audience booed, chanting “a**hole” and “U-S-A” as police led the disruptors off the course.
Several of the protesters were wearing shirts emblazoned with the phrase, “NO GOLF ON A DEAD PLANET.”

Former president Donald Trump, the presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee, said during a campaign trip on Saturday that he has picked his vice presidential nominee just days before the June 27 presidential debate.
Trump told reporters he’s chosen his running mate for the 2024 campaign but has not told the candidate yet. The vice-presidential choice will be attending the debate between Trump and President Joe Biden set to take place next week, Trump said.
The first presidential debate between Trump and Biden will air on CNN in primetime for 90 minutes. Trump will be hoping Joe Biden’s age and apparent mental decline will be on display for a national audience.

We've seen some horrible cases in the news lately of murders allegedly committed by illegal aliens, including the case of 37-year-old mother of five, Rachel Morin, and that of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray.
In the case of Morin, the suspect reportedly "illegally snuck into the US three times in two months and was booted — before apparently eluding agents on his fourth try."
In the case of Jocelyn Nungaray, two illegal aliens from Venezuela were arrested in her strangulation murder, although you might not have known that they were illegal aliens if you just read the AP account, since the AP didn't include that.

The Wall Street Journal reports that corporate America is backpedaling away from “diversity”:
White-collar companies that once championed programs to recruit diverse employees are now tiptoeing away from them.
PricewaterhouseCoopers and JPMorgan Chase are among those that recently removed or altered descriptions of their programs for underrepresented students. The shift came after an “anti-woke” movement took aim at U.S. companies and a Supreme Court decision overturned affirmative action in college admissions. Employers’ embrace of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives peaked in 2021, sparked by the death of George Floyd and the height of the Black Lives Matter movement a year earlier

James O'Keefe released his latest undercover report yesterday, this one featuring a senior VP at Disney who spilled the beans on the company's DEI hiring practices.
Michael Giordano went on a date arranged though an online service and got a lot more than he bargained for. His date was working for O'Keefe and prompted him with questions about what DEI looks like behind the scenes. Giordana said he'd personally applied for many jobs during his 11 years at the company and has seen more diverse candidates with less experience get the promotions. He says one of his friends in HR told him, "Look, nobody else is going to tell you this,

As we previously reported, Joe Biden is taking a whole week off from being president to prepare for his upcoming debate with Donald Trump. The debate, which will be hosted by CNN, will take place on Thursday—assuming Joe Biden shows up.
So far, nothing, not even Trump's conviction in the sham trial in New York City, has managed to give Biden the boost he needs to be ahead in the race, and the Biden campaign is clearly aware that this is a make-or-break moment for the Biden campaign.
Earlier this week, CBS senior White House correspondent Weijia Jiang raised some eyebrows when she explained to Robert Costa,
