A group of eight Congressmen parachute-jumped out of a plane over Normandy, France, on Friday in honor of the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
Reps. Michael Waltz (R-FL), Cory Mills (R-FL), Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), Ronny Jackson (R-TX), Darrell Issa (R-CA), Mark Green (R-TN), Rich McCormick (R-GA), and Jason Crow (D-CO) took part in the recreation of a parachute jump done by U.S. military veterans who had served during World War II as they jumped into Normandy. “The D-Day operation of June 6, 1944, brought together the land, air, and sea forces of the allied armies in what became known as the largest amphibious invasion in military history,”

Crenshaw used to be a SEAL, so certainly fully qualified. Don't know about the others.
I don't trust Crenshaw.

Who paid for the trip? (As if we didn't know.) Our federal credit cards are maxed out and they continue to spend like drunken sailors. I understand the significance of D-Day, but, enough is enough! It's not about you, congressmen. It's about the men who actually served that day. To honor their memory, stay here and fix what we the people are crying out for.

I'd have paid to add a C-47 to my list. :)

Well, it looks like this was an exercise in futility. I'm sorry, but in the group of 8 I don't see any women, old people, gays, transies, drag queens, Native Americans, homeless people, or midgets of color. Looks like basic DEI standards haven't been met in this dive so we shouldn't give this event any attention. Oops.

Even Breitbart can't find literate writers who remember how to report a story.

It takes some intestinal fortitude to jump out of a plane...because the Congressmen did this to honor the D-Day Vets and the D-Day operation (A manly endeavor)...I'm fine with it.

Well, at least none of them took a flight home to the USA Friday after just having flown to France and then flew back to France for the jump.

I'd like to see the "Squad" (Cortez, Rashita, Somaliant and the girls) jump out of a plane and [I'll leave the rest to you].

Wife and I just watched "The Longest Day" on D-Day anniversary.
Excellent production. Very sobering. This was a big price paid by the Allies.
Highly recommend -- free on YouTube.

My father was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne and later with the 11th Airborne all over the world.
He had over 80 + jumps. I was very proud of him.
I get nervous on a tall, a not so tall ladder.
God Bless the Airborne. Very brave men (and now) women.

If the Squad wants to jump next year, I volunteer to pack and double-check their chutes. Main and reserve.

Yes, #2 and 3. These sentiments were expressed today at Sunday brunch. A number of vets too as we discussed the fun time our Ronny Jackson appeared to be having in the photos. I am sure we will see photos for reelection campaign purposes.
