Wall Street bankers are plotting a new national stock exchange in Texas - promising lighter regulation than in New York.
Backed by BlackRock and Citadel Securities, the Texas Stock Exchange in Dallas would go up against the Nasdaq and the NYSE and bid to attract global companies.
It has raised about $120 million and plans to start trading next year provided it gets the OK from the Securities and Exchange Commission
The TXSE, as it is known, wants to tap into companies worried at the increasing rules and compliance costs at the two New York exchanges.

I don't know if this actually part of the "Texit" plan, but having your own stock market seems like a necessary component if Texas were to become independent....

When NY loses the NYSE, Hochul and Adams will blame DJT.

Letting BlackRock get involved is a serious, serious, deadly error. BlackRock is a far left, globalist, rotten company. They WILL sabotage this at some point, guaranteed.

Wishing the Best for Texas!
Agree that Blackrock is crooked..... perhaps the TX people can use Blackrock's money to get their exchange going, then once they're up and running, they can make Blackrock toe the line...... I know, wishful thinking.
We'll just have to wait and see how it turns out.
On the other hand, anything that distributes some of Noo Yawk's ill-gotten gains to the rest of the USA is a good thing.

This is HUGE, regardless of whose money starts it rolling. NY has had a monopoly on stock exchange development and the left has exploited it. It's also slowly stifling it, as the left always does with over-regulation and fees. Talk about killing the goose that laid the golden eggs.
Go, Texas, go! (And nice move, NY, going after Trump, to let investors know that any of them could be next...)

Read no further than the second paragraph. How can it be "anti-woke" if it's promoted by the inventors of "ESG," the infamous Black Rock (Larry Fink)? What I don't see is whether Black Rock is putting their own money into it, or if they expect the State of Texas, hence taxpayers, and conservatives to fund it? I'm not yet buying it.

Should be interesting to see which companies jump over.

Larry Fink the CEO (former?) CEO of Blackrock is the king of woke, DEI, and ESG.
It's also been behind the suppression of the stock prices of oil and gas companies, that are doing far better than other companies, but whose stock prices are terrible.
I detect a trap.
