CNN anchor Jake Tapper, who in recent years has become one of the most prominent anti-Trump voices in the liberal media, was selected to moderate CNN’s Presidential Debate between the former president and President Biden.
It was announced Wednesday that Tapper will co-moderate the debate with CNN colleague Dana Bash on June 27 in Atlanta after both candidates agreed to the terms.
But Tapper's hostile coverage of Trump and Republicans will perhaps offer a preview of what Trump should expect going into the key political showdown.

President Trump needs to set the tone early in the debate about the filthy falsehood Steele Dossier Russian collision narrative and the letter signed by 51 democrat hacks that said the Hunter laptop story was Russian disinformation.
Why did President Trump agree to debates on Biden’s terms?

Jake wishes in his soul that any of us MAGA voters had a conscience. I'm sure he'll be fair and impartial.

Trump has always complained about the Moderators being from the Left. Why in the world would he agree to have these Two Debates under Biden's set up? First of all, Biden will probably will be wearing a Wire as he won't have his Teleprompter! Secondly, why not have One Moderator from a Republican and One from a Democrat Press? Trump is walking into a Trap! He can run circles around Biden in a Fair Fight, but this will never be close to Fair! Trump should rethink the Rules!

That is the most tone-deaf thing I have ever heard. Since when (a) do we need a moderator, (b) is Jake Tapper unbiased, and (c) do we think Trump will get a fair shake? JAKE FREAKING TAPPER???? Why not just call Whoopi Goldberg to moderate. Geez...

Yes Tapper is bad and Bash is even worse but I detect some sour grapes from Fox. Remember Chris Wallace's behavior in the 2020 debate and Megan Kelly's in the 2016 debate?

I'd like to hear Tapper's description of the Biden presidency. I'm sure it would be a doozy. All lefties have a screw loose. Many more than one.

The June pseudo-debate will take place with President Trump vs. two goons from the Criminal News Network. The poseur now squatting in the White House may also attend.

Perhaps during the debate, especially near the end when Joe Biden has a live mic (and Donald Trump can speak pretty loudly), Trump can say to Biden ... okay, we are having two debates on your terms. Let's have another debate on (date) on FOX under the same rules we're debating today. Make my day, pal. And, of course, that date will be between the June debate and the sham debate that is scheduled for Sept 10 on ABC. I expect the cast of The View have been tapped to moderate that one.

The debate will take place in Fani Willis's home town, where she still may be a factor, and about the time the Supreme Court comes down with the immunity issue. The whole thrust of CNN's questions will focus on Trump in the hope he will emote in the same manner he over-reacted to Chris Wallace. Many here liked that reaction; most voters didn't. Let's hope Trump keeps the focus on Biden and let's him complete every two-minute statement he's expected to, but most likely can't. Trump's goals should be to let Biden be Biden and for him to be the adult in the room.

No worries! Jake is a "professional journalist" and, as such, will be equally magnanimous and tough with both candidates!

#3, you know how well he does with a teleprompter, so a wire could prove entertaining. As he stumbles through trying to repeat the answer, then says the next thing he hears from the exasperated person in charge of feeding him lines, "Good grief, you freaking idiot, that's not what I said! Listen to me!"

#6, With tears glistening in his eyes, Tapper:
"Your most honorable and gracious President Biden, you have overseen the greatest presidency in American History - fighting to bring down inflation from 9%, creating a booming economy with record job growth and record low unemployment, ushering in a time of unprecedented peace here and abroad, restoring dignity and decency to the Oval Office and restoring America back to a place of respect, dignity, and strenght the world over, and you have accomplished all this with staggering intellect and brilliant insight into matters both foreign and domestic. I acknowledge I am not even wothy to be in your presence. You are a giant among men. So, I very humbly pose a most important question....and I am truly sorry to have to even bring this up, but as a serious journalist I must ask a question I believe the American people deserve a definitive answer to. Sir, with all due respect (choking back tears, voice quivering)....what IS your favorite flavor of ice cream??"
Sits down, sobbing - "I'm so sorry I had to be so harsh with you!". Runs from room screaming like the whiny b***h he is.

Well, Trump agreed to CNN. Surely he knows who lives in Atlanta HQ and which of those moderators the left would push. So I've come to the conclusion that Trump LIKES to be in a position when he can launch attacks against the radical left wing zealots posing as journalists. He's very street smart in situations like this...but there's another factor involved here. I hope he has a good understanding of just how fed up the voters are with the melodrama. I sometimes think Trump sees politics as one big reality show---the more spectacle, the better. Maybe other times, but right now I'm not so sure. I think voters are drained and are turned off by a continuing 3 ring circus. His behavior during this trial has been admirable and really effective. I hope Trump can resist lashing out because it might send potential voters right into RFK's welcoming arms.

How many times have we heard that the Republicans would no longer tolerate debates moderated by liberals?
SSDD.
I already know Biden's favorite flavor of ice cream.
