David DePape, the man who attacked former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) husband with a hammer in October 2022, was sentenced to 30 years in prison on Friday. The attack on Paul Pelosi occurred in the Pelosis’ San Francisco home on Oct. 28, 2022, just days before the midterm elections. DePape was found guilty on Nov. 16 for the attempted kidnapping of a federal official and assault on the immediate family member of a federal official. Prosecutors had pushed for DePape to serve the maximum term of 40 years. Paul Pelosi suffered a fractured skull and severe damage to his left hand. To this day, he deals with terrible headaches,

Seems excessive considering so many other prosecutions in the state. Something is still very odd about the whole case since the dude had to get himself there from the Berkeley area, had to know where they lived, their security detail didn't seem to notice him, etc...

Poor Paul Pelosi! To this day, he deals with terrible headaches, like being married to Nancy Pelosi. I think Paul invited this guy for some ooh la la and it went south. 30 years for smacking Paul Pelosi's head with a hammer after the cops came and interrupted their tete a tete.I actually feel sorry for DePape, to be honest.

Federal officials are the ones who make the laws that say attacks on federal officials get punished much, much more severely than attacks on the rest of us peons. If DePape had fractured your skull or mine, he would have gotten maybe a year in jail, out in 3 months on good behavior. In fact, if he had actually beaten you or me to death he probably wouldn't have been sentenced to 30 years, especially in San Francisco.

#2, There is nothing odd about getting from Berkeley to San Francisco. Tens of thousands do it every day and night on the Bay Area Rapid Transit. There is a Municipal Railway bus stop quite near the Pelosi establishment. As a resident of San Francisco I, as well as anyone who cared, know where the Pelosis live. They do not live in a gated area, but have a house right on the street, like most of us do in San Francisco. Obviously there was no security detail on the property that night. Nancy and the Pelosi children are responsible for leaving an obvious heavy drinking octogenarian on his own. He forgot to set the alarm. As for the juvenile numbskulls snickering that a multi-millionaire, even if he had a yen to experience the love that won't shut up, would chose an ugly, overweight, middle-aged loser for a roll in the hay, please stop embarrassing yourselves.

That caused AOC to flip out and chastise him, saying that she was standing up for women, and somehow, MTG talking about Crockett's eyelashes was racist and misogynist. Israel is winning the war – big time. Following the catastrophic beginning of the war in Israel’s south, Israel’s armed forces have shown enormous bravery and a stick-to-it willingness to slog it out through built up areas of terror resistance and an endless web of Arab terror tunnels. The problem is that Hamas, Hizbullah, and other Iranian proxy groups do not recognize as of yet that they have lost the war. That will come, but it has yet to occur. When will Israel’s enemies realize that they have lost? They will realize this when Israel kills the leaders of Hamas, Sinwar, Def, and other leaders.

The drift of European countries away from the failed immigration policies of their socialist predecessors reached the Netherlands with the election of Geert Wilders as their new leader. Wilders will lead a coalition of four parties with a clear agenda of sweeping away the disastrous results of an open border that has flooded the Netherlands with a mass migration from the Middle East. That in turn has brought lawlessness from the rising migrant count leaving the silent majority exposed to behavior that they objected to with their votes. Wilders announced that his country is in an asylum crisis which requires stronger border controls and internal changes.
