FrontPage Mag readers may recall that back in December I wrote about Michael Cassidy, a conservative Christian and former Navy pilot who tore down a Satanic altar competing with a Christmas display of the Nativity in the Iowa State Capitol. Originally charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, Cassidy was subsequently hit with a hate crime charge by Polk County Democrat Attorney Kimberly Graham, a prosecutor funded by – surprise – left-wing billionaire financier George Soros. Cassidy is now looking at a possible five years in prison.

It's understandable how George Soros would be upset that someone toppled a statue of his favorite being in the universe. There is some good news for Mr. Soros, as he will have all of eternity to gaze adoringly upon the shameless being himself.

Once again, a female democrat DA has overcharged someone who she intends to punish whether the law actually calls for it or not. It appears that the only persons to be charged with hate crimes are conservatives. The left can take over campuses screaming death to Jews, Death to Israel, death to America and that is ignored as a hate crime. The sheer hate that emanates from the souls of the democrat party is on display every single day and very seldom, if ever, is there a hate charge when it is clear the crime was motivated by hate and prejudice.
We cannot be silent when cases like this one surface. Noise must be made by the voters in this DA’s district to show their displeasure when the case goes off the legal rails. Trumped up charges for political purposes is wrong as we are seeing be played out in NYC at this moment. We cannot just remain silent in the face of such blatant political bias. Democrats count on the fact that they can get away with egregious legal overreach completely unimpeded. We must make these kinds of decisions hard on these fascists. Pressure must be put on them through any means possible or they will continue to persecute anyone they consider the opposition. The time for apathy is over. This is not justice, it is political persecution and this DA is a political activist interested in social Justice more than actual justice. She should never be a position of power because she purposely abuses it in order to promote her sick and twisted ideology of lawfare. Is there a law against that? There certainly should be. No one should ever use the justice system as a weapon, yet democrats have turned it into a sport.

So, are they flip flopping again about whether satanism is a religion?

This is not my country anymore. It may be called the United States of America, but the true land of the free, I grew up in, is gone; just the label remains. I do not owe this current abomination my allegiance.

We crossed a line when we decided that not all crimes are equal. As usual, when we take a step to abridge freedom, the rallying cry is something the vast majority are in agreement with. Hence vandalism becomes a higher crime when it involves a swastika than other vandalism using the same can of spray paint with the exact same square inches applied to the exact same surface requiring the exact same effort to remove. I know what you are thinking and I don't like it so extra punishment for you.
Now somebody does something we sort of like, or at least is consistent with our beliefs and somebody else gets to decide if he had hate in his heart and deserves an extra helping of punishment.
Now look at how "hate" is ascribed to any opinion that doesn't conform to the leftists in power. You don't want to see our institutions overwhelmed Cloward and Piven style but it's mostly brown people doing it therefore you hate brown people.
We handed the left a license to read our minds and punish us based on their reading.

Satan is the biggest hater of all, as he is a liar and a murderer. He is filled with rage and inspires rivalry (with Jesus Christ), resentment, and revenge. And a bold Christian veteran, acting like St. Michael the Archangel, beheads a statue of this pure evil. And he is called a "hater." Unbelievable!! But he has singlehandedly exposed who Soros worships.
Viva Cristo Rey!!!

If a jury of 12 people decide this man deserves prison then it isn't only the Attorney General who is the bad guy.
The State of Iowa is bad.

The man in jail ought to be replaced by putting Soros in jail along with his ideas.

He did a good thing. I don't think they'll be able to convict him.

Hate crimes lead to thought crimes. Who decides what a "hate crime" is, or isn't? E.g. see the Washington Commanders. Thanks BJ Clinton.

FTA:
As reported by Ben Zeisloft at The Republic Sentinel, the far-left ideologue Graham has received over $300,000 in campaign contributions from the Justice and Public Safety PAC, a Soros-funded entity:
Graham campaigned on decreasing racial disparities in prosecution and has since introduced drug diversion programs during her first year in office. The official has voiced numerous leftist views on social media: she wished that George Floyd would “rest in power” on the day police officer Derek Chauvin was convicted, as well as claimed that crime prevention involves “tackling environmental racism” and said that “cash bail makes our communities less safe.”
They say things and frame the issue to make it seem like they're just looking for fairness when the intent is to fool people into believing it's a fairness most would agree with but end up with horrible outcomes.
Same is true for their use of "our Democracy" which is intended to make it seem like it's Democracy most have learned in school but they use the qualifier of "our" that turns the phrase into THEIR version of Democracy.
