As RedState reported earlier, after months of being egged on by Donald Trump to step up and participate in presidential debates, President Joe Biden said on Twitter Wednesday morning that he was challenging the former POTUS to two of them, which Biden suggested should be held in June and September.
"Well, make my day, pal, I’ll even do it twice," Biden said in a pre-recorded, heavily edited 14-second video. "So let’s pick the dates, Donald – I hear you’re free on Wednesdays."
Itching for the opportunity, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee accepted the challenge, and not long after, it was announced that CNN would be hosting the June debate,

So, say you're an attorney who decides to testify against a former client and assert he did all manner of bad things. What happens when your former attorney then testifies against you? Well, we're about to find out.

On Wednesday, while the trial of former President Donald Trump in Manhattan was on its regular break, Robert Costello, the attorney who formerly represented Michael Cohen (who himself formerly represented Trump), testified before the House Judiciary Committee's Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Government:
Costello, once the deputy chief of the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office' prestigious criminal division, alleges in his prepared testimony

Brooklyn-based software engineer Dexter Taylor was sentenced on Monday to ten years in prison for building firearms in his own home. Last month, he was convicted on 13 counts related to his building and possessing rifles and pistols.
The 53-year-old New Yorker’s story has garnered increasing attention on digital, with many expressing outrage over his conviction and sentencing. Much of the anger involved Judge Abena Darkeh’s admonishment that the Second Amendment could not be mentioned by Taylor’s defense during the trial and the apparent bias shown by the court.
Just before his sentencing, Taylor was allowed to make a statement addressing the court.

Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno is making it clear: if liberal migrants from blue states don’t appreciate Florida’s firm stance on law and order, they should pack their bags and return to their crime-ridden home states.
Sheriff Marceno’s primary message is that Californians and other liberals shouldn’t bring the policies that ruined their states to Sunshine State, Florida.
Sheriff Marceno’s message comes as a rallying cry amidst growing frustration with policies in liberal states that have led to increased crime rates. In an interview with Fox News, the sheriff, who had previously lived in New York, spoke frankly about the flood of left-leaning newcomers who bring their failed policies with them.

Mayor Eric Adams has once again ignited controversy with his latest comments on the city’s lifeguard shortage. The mayor has suggested that illegal immigrants could be the solution to New York City’s staffing woes, specifically because “they’re excellent swimmers.”
This eyebrow-raising connection was made by Mayor Adams during a City Hall briefing when pressed about the challenges facing the city’s beaches and pools. With Memorial Day approaching and no clear resolution in sight, Adams proposed expediting migrant work visas for these critical roles.
“How do we have a large body of people that are in our city, our country, that are excellent swimmers and at the same time we need lifeguards —

Joe Biden’s America.
An illegal alien from El Salvador who entered the US on Joe Biden’s open border invitation was arrested in the murder of a 33-year-old West Virginia woman.
David Antonio Calderon, 46, was arrested in Virginia after authorities found an unidentified woman on a burning couch in a field in Martinsburg.
“Early findings from the state Medical Examiner’s Office point to burn injuries as the likely cause of death.” West Virginia News reported.
According to police, Calderon, who went by the nickname “Amigo,” also attacked two homeless people with a baseball bat in April.

Joe Biden repeated a whopper about inflation (Snip) it is not even close to true that inflation was at nine percent when Biden took office. On the contrary, it was only at 1.4 percent. Even before the pandemic, it was well within the normal federal reserve range of two percent. Inflation only began to spike in the months after the current president took office, with his signing of the American Rescue Plan, another two trillion boondoggle, injecting yet more deficit-financed cash into an already overheated economy.
Inflation didn't reach nine percent until the summer of 2022, over a year and a half after Biden was sworn in.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is not great at her job.
She's had a lot of issues with gaffes and she's constantly failing to answer the questions.
But when she did answer a question on Tuesday -- sort of -- her response drew a lot of attention because of what she appeared to say.
A reporter asked Jean-Pierre if it was appropriate for House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) "to show up at the trial of former president [Donald Trump] today?" [Tweet, video]
So look, I can't speak to uh, um -- I don't want to comment as this is related to 2024 elections," KJP responded.

Republican Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves announced on Monday that he signed a bill into law that protects women from so-called “transgender” people in their restrooms and locker rooms.

“The far-left radicals aren’t going to like it… but in Mississippi, we’re going to protect women’s spaces,” Reeves, who has three daughters, wrote on X.
“It’s mind blowing that this is what Joe Biden’s America has come to. Having to pass common sense policies that protect women’s spaces was unimaginable just a few years ago. But here we are… we have to pass a law to protect women in bathrooms, sororities, locker rooms, dressing rooms, shower rooms, and more,” he explained.

I had the good fortune to take my family to Delaware for the weekend to celebrate Mother’s Day. It’s not like it was a massive trip, it’s a 3-hour drive, but Rehoboth Beach is a great place to go if you have young kids. It’s also, apparently, a great place to hide out if you’re trying to hide your mental decline. At least, that’s what it is for President Joe Biden. Well, that and a place for his son to party, probably.
But even here, a place Joe Biden calls home almost more often than the White House, among the people who know Joe best –

When you go into the voting booth, it’s easy to focus on the big races. Those high-profile contests at the federal and state level get the most coverage, and you can do your homework and learn about the candidates. If you have your ear to the ground or have decent local media, you can do the same with some local races.
But every state has those down-ballot races that are often nonpartisan and don’t get much media coverage. It’s easy to ignore races like these when you don’t know anything about the candidates.
Georgia has one of those races this year that is buried way down on next Tuesday’s ballot,

Alvin Bragg’s case against Trump has been in trouble as witness after witness for the prosecution seems to undermine it. Michael Cohen’s testimony proved to be no different.
Bragg’s team really needed a win here after weeks of testimony for the prosecution that proved devastating for its case. Keith Davidson, Stormy Daniels’ lawyer, argued during his testimony that the $130,000 transaction with Daniels should not be considered "hush money" but rather a valid "consideration" payment.
Hope Hicks’ testimony delivered another blow to the prosecution's case when she testified that Trump's nondisclosure agreement with Daniels
