President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign dropped a nasty Mother’s Day video attacking former President Donald Trump. The video focused on insulting Trump’s past policies regarding women such as abortion and separating illegal immigrant families. The attacks begin when the screen flashes “Happy Mother's Day" written on the bottom. But then the screen goes blank with the words, "But not from Donald Trump” across it. The campaign urged Americans to “stop Trump,” by doing the moms in their lives a favor. “On Mother’s Day, a reminder: Donald Trump stands only for himself and not mothers across America and their families,” the video says.

The House on Wednesday voted to pass legislation that would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to allow for the detention and deportation of illegal aliens who assault law enforcement officers.The Detain and Deport Illegal Aliens Who Assault Cops Act was introduced by Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) and was among other bills that are being brought up for a vote to coincide with National Police Week.

Having served on three Manhattan juries, I would not be surprised if the 12 men and women hearing New York vs. Donald J. Trump acquitted him of all charges.
During two civil actions and one criminal case, my fellow jurors were serious, professional and movingly civic-minded. A quiet, solemn patriotism infused our deliberations. Several jurors said that we should respect the justice system because, someday, we might need it to respect us. (snip) These three cases confirm that Manhattan juries are sober and perfectly capable of fairness.
