George Alan Kelly, the Arizona rancher charged with murder in the shooting of a Mexican national on his border property, will not be retried, prosecutors with the Santa Cruz County Attorney's office said. The state charged Kelly, 75, with second degree murder after he allegedly shot and killed a migrant, Gabriel Cuen-Buitimea, on his land in January 2023. The decision not to retry Kelly comes a week after a mistrial was declared following a deadlocked jury. Kelly’s defense confirmed to Fox News Digital that there was "one, lone holdout" juror who wanted to convict, while the remaining jurors sought an acquittal.

So now he will be terrified to shoot any trespasser again. Dems bullied and intimidated him into submission. THAT is what they do. I wish him well. What do they say? Shoot, shovel and shut up. Do you think anyone will show up for the inauguration after Trump wins? (and he MUST win or all is lost). Everyone will stay clear of DC because dems have intimidated every repub lest they be thrown in jail.

Both Kelly and his wife contend he only shot warning shots in the air The article says the bullet that killed the illegal was never recovered. With no evidence why was he even tried to begin with??

I have read 2 articles on this now. I fail to see what justifies shooting dead a man walking through your property. If that happened in the city you'd be calling it a violent dem hell hole. Victor Davis Hanson finds llegals "invading" through his farm all rhe time. He doesn't shoot them dead. I wouldn't copy the acquitted btw. Had they found his slug he'd be doing life right now.

#6, Do you live where drug cartels are running around your neighborhood? These people are the worst of the worst. I find your lack of compassion for an older man and his wife living in such circumstances appalling. Everyone knows what goes on down at the border. It is lawless as the Wild West was. Self-preservation is the key to life for those living in a dangerous place like that. Walk a mile in his shoes and see what you think about shooting someone who comes on your property. These are not the kind of people you ignore. You are always on alert, and living like that takes a toll. Americans should never have to live in fear because our border is sieve and the cartels run wild. Not guilty!

A stupid comment is a stupid comment no matter how long one has been posting. “A man walking” Except your yard is the border, he;’s carrying drugs and the yard is now a super highway for the cartels. Post an address; maybe we can get some illegals to walk thru your yard. Got kids? The illegals LOVE your children, especially daughters. Were it I, there’d be computer controlled 50 cal machine guns facing south with overlapping fields of fire constantly sweeping the border. We either have a Country or we don’t.

Won't be retried? Why is that even a discussion? Wouldn't that be double jeopardy? "The Double Jeopardy Clause in the Fifth Amendment to the US Constitution prohibits anyone from being prosecuted twice for substantially the same crime."

Lol. Ok keyboard warriors. The 2 articles posted here **don't mention** the dead guy was cartel or a mule or after Kelly's daughter or even aware that Kelly was watching him. Kelly claims he shot in the air. You might wanna remember that when you're setting up remote 50 cals. LOL! What kinda yahoo... Come now. Sane people who detest the open boarder as I do don't advocate a civilian shoot-on-sight policy for assumed illegals. And if you try it, and they find yer slug, you won't be walking free like Mr Kelly. Peace to all the sane Lpeeps. Hold fast.

13, they didn't recover the bullet. There is zero evidence he shot the guy. The burden of proof is on the government not the old man. The jury (11 of them) correctly figured out that the government can't lock you away for life with no evidence of a crime. Here's what we know: 1) criminal was crossing his land with other criminals 2) criminal was shot dead by *someone* That's it. There is No Reason whatsoever to believe the old man shot him. None. Zip. Nada. Good call on the part of 11 citizens and horrible call by idiot prosecutor who doesn't understand the law or their role in it and by 1 clown juror who doesn't know or care about justice and just wanted to nail the white maga gun guy.

The Huskies' Nika Mühl made it a one-point game after UConn forced a steal on Iowa, and they would get a chance to take the lead with just seconds left on the clock after forcing a Hawkeyes turnover. However, UConn's Aaliyah Edwards was called for a moving screen on Gabbie Marshall as Huskies star Paige Bueckers was trying to run around to get the ball for the potential game-winning shot.

Books such as those by the left-wing French economist Thomas Piketty are popular. In my home country, Germany, a book called Das Ende des Kapitalismus (The End of Capitalism), whose author advocates the introduction of a planned economy, has climbed the bestseller lists. She cites the British war economy of the Second World War as a potential model. In her opinion, we should introduce this kind of economic system as quickly as possible, as it is the only way we can save our planet.
