Gov. Ron DeSantis said a boat carrying 25 Haitians was stopped off Florida's coast as law enforcement resouces have been deployed to stop possible migrants coming from the island nation that's experiencing a spike in violence and turmoil. DeSantis made the announcement at a news conference in Polk County Friday where he signed three pieces of legislation that he said are aimed at deterring illegal immigration. According to DeSantis Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers within the past couple weeks stopped the vessel near Sebastain Inlet that was carrying 25 people from Haiti.

Comments:

A Fox report says, “That vessel was interdicted near the Sebastian Inlet and those illegal aliens were turned over to the Coast Guard for deportation," he said.

Send them to the steps of the Supreme Court. Since it has ruled states can't guard their borders, let's see who they call to guard their boundaries.

Just for kicks look at a map to see where Haiti is and then where the U.S. is. Notice anything funny? Absolutely smack dab in the middle between the two countries is (according to any GDdemocrat politician in this country) the People's Paradise of Cuba. Why don't these 'refugees' stop there instead of risking their lives sailing a couple of thousand miles more to live in the worst country in the history of the world?

Gun Owners Of America came out swinging against Senator John Cornyn, R-TX, after he entered the race to succeed Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. In a statement to Fox News Digital, Aidan Johnston, Gun Owners Of America’s (GOA) Federal Affairs Director, said Cornyn has failed to stand firm on conservative values and has instead, compromised with Democrats on gun control bills. "Every time gun control gains steam in Congress, Senator John Cornyn is right there working with Democrats on a 'compromise.' That isn't conservative leadership, it's capitulation!," Johnston said.

Conservatives called out the Associated Press on Sunday for appearing to categorize Laken Riley’s murder as more about the "fears of solo female athletes" rather than illegal immigration and weak crime laws. Riley, an Augusta University nursing student, was found dead Thursday after previously attending the University of Georgia before entering a nursing program at Augusta's Athens campus, where she made the Dean's List. Police have charged Jose Antonio Ibarra with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, kidnapping, hindering a 911 call and concealing the death of another.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen sidestepped questions about whether her department ordered surveillance of consumer purchases and transactions. Yellen was asked Tuesday during a hearing whether the Treasury Department instructed financial institutions to monitor legal purchases for signs of "extremism," as claimed in a House Judiciary Committee letter last month. "Has Treasury — including FinCEN or federal banking agencies like the Fed, FDIC, OCC — instructed financial institutions to search Americans' legal transactions in attempts to surveil their purchases?" Republican Missouri Rep. Ann Wagner asked Yellen. “Well, we received the letter from you, I believe, on this topic, and we intend to investigate and to respond," Yellen responded.
