Both articles of impeachment against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas were deemed unconstitutional by the Senate on Wednesday in a party-line vote. The first of two articles of impeachment alleged Mayorkas engaged in the "willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law" regarding the southern border in his capacity as DHS secretary. The second claimed Mayorkas had breached public trust. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., proposed a point of order declaring the article unconstitutional, to which the majority of senators agreed following several failed motions by Republicans.

What did the wimpy Republicans in the House think that the progressive Democrats in the Senate would do with their impeachment case that was just a big waste of time? The way to get rid of Mayorkis and progressive Democrat bureaucrats like him, is to band together to support Trump, and knock Biden out of the White House once and for all. Only then will the wimpy Republicans get rid of Mayorkis, and any other progressive Democrat bureaucrats who Biden would appoint to replace Mayorkis.

So Schumer pulls a parliamentary trick out of his butt and has the charges thrown out on the grounds that they are not "constitutional" ... even though such a question must be resolved only by the Supreme Court and not Chuckie. Not just the separation of powers issue but the legal logic of it. This means the Senate can now unilaterally vote on whatever THEY decide is "constitutional" or not. Next they will turn around and say anything they don't like is unconstitutional --- like MAGA! In the meantime, The Turtle, Mitch McConnell had a bigger majority of the Senate when Nasty Pelosi and her running dog friends sent over 2 articles of impeachment of Trump. Why didn't China Mitch say that action was unconstitutional? No ... he said the exact opposite! He claimed he was "required by law" to hold the requested trial even though he personally didn't support it and knew it would fail. No two tier justice system here, folks! We are no longer America, Land of the Free & Home of the Brave!

Monday has been Trump Trial Day in the media, especially for those outlets openly cheering the prosecution of former President Donald Trump on felony charges relating to recordkeeping for a nondisclosure agreement he made with a former porn star. The excitement on some networks is palpable. The scenario of a Democratic district attorney, Manhattan’s Alvin Bragg, putting Trump on trial amid a presidential campaign is striking in part because of a new survey showing a plurality of the public believing the Trump presidency was better for America than the presidency of Trump’s opponent, the sitting President Joe Biden. The news is deep inside a New York Times-Siena poll

President Biden’s National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan faced renewed scrutiny on social media this weekend for a 2023 comment claiming the Middle East was "quiet" after Iran launched the first-ever direct attack on Israel. "What we said is [we] want to depressurize, de-escalate and ultimately integrate the Middle East region," Sullivan said at The Atlantic Festival on Sept. 29. "The war in Yemen is in its 19th month of truce. For now, the Iranian attacks against U.S. forces have stopped. Our presence in Iraq is stable. President Joe Biden’s Energy Department canceled its plan to purchase millions of barrels of oil to refill the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR). The cancellation means the Biden administration is unlikely to fulfill its promise of fully replenishing the SPR by the end of the year, and the SPR will remain at a historically low level after the administration depleted it in 2022. The depletion of the SPR was caused by the Biden administration’s own failed energy policy. Shortly after he came into office, President Biden issued a series of anti-fossil fuel energy policies, including canceling the Keystone XL Pipeline project and halting leasing on federal lands for oil

Some analysts saw the fact that Arab nations helped Israel and the US repel a major Iranian attack as cause for celebration. But countries like Jordan have more complicated motivations for coming to Israel's aid. Iran launched more than 300 drones and missiles at Israel on Saturday night in retaliation for a suspected Israeli attack on its embassy in Damascus at the beginning of April. As the missiles and slow-moving drones were heading toward Israel, Israel's allies stepped in to help. The US and UK air forces were involved in shooting down the aerial threats.
