A squatter who commandeered and rented out rooms in a woman's $1 million house in Queens, New York pleaded not guilty to a slew of charges Thursday about a month after the homeowner was arrested for trying to change the locks to oust the intruders. On Feb. 29, Brian Rodriguez forced his way back into Adele Andaloro's home after she had changed the locks, pushing his way into the house as she tried to hold the door closed, according to the Queens District Attorney. When he claimed that he was a legal tenant and Andaloro was trying to legally evict him, police had no choice but to remove Andaloro

The terrorist Iranian regime's unprecedented recent attack on Israel, which included 185 drones, 36 cruise missiles and 110 surface-to-surface missiles, is an unambiguous casus belli -- an act of war -- under international law.
Of course, Iranian proxies spread across the Middle East, such as Lebanon-based Hezbollah, Gaza-based Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Yemen-based Houthis, have committed countless previous acts of war against Israel. But last weekend was something different entirely: For the very first time since fanatical Islamists overthrew Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and took power in 1979, Iran launched such attacks directly from its own soil.

Senate Democrats this week faced a test of whether they take the laws they pass seriously. Like their counterparts in the House, they failed. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was only the second cabinet secretary ever to be impeached, the first being in 1876. House Republicans passed the bill of impeachment on a purely party-line vote. They were right to do so, even though they understood from the outset that the Democratic majority in the Senate precluded a conviction. The impeachment was legally proper because Mayorkas committed high crimes and misdemeanors. It was politically prudent because it gave Republicans a chance to lay out their case

The “Get Trump” Democrats are beside themselves with glee about the former president being stuck in a Manhattan courtroom for the Stormy Daniels hush-money trial while the current president hits the campaign trail.
They have taken to calling Donald Trump “Hitler Pig” in emails and text messages among White House staff, campaign aides and other Democrats close to the administration, reported Politico Wednesday. So much for Joe Biden bringing civility back to politics.
That’s as believable as his other tall tales, that he stopped inflation and never spoke to his son about overseas business dealings.

Both articles of impeachment against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas were deemed unconstitutional by the Senate on Wednesday in a party-line vote. The first of two articles of impeachment alleged Mayorkas engaged in the "willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law" regarding the southern border in his capacity as DHS secretary. The second claimed Mayorkas had breached public trust. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., proposed a point of order declaring the article unconstitutional, to which the majority of senators agreed following several failed motions by Republicans.

If a belligerent state launched 186 explosive drones, 36 cruise missiles, and 110 surface-to-surface missiles from three fronts against civilian targets within the United States, would Joe Biden call it a “win”?
Would the president tell us that the best thing we can do now is show “restraint”? What if that same terror state’s proxy armies had recently helped murder, rape, and kidnap more than 1,000 American men, women, and children? What if this terror state were trying to obtain nuclear weapons so it could continue to agitate without any consequences? This is what Joe Biden and the Barack Obama acolytes, Iranian dupes, and Israel antagonists he’s surrounded himself with demand

Monday has been Trump Trial Day in the media, especially for those outlets openly cheering the prosecution of former President Donald Trump on felony charges relating to recordkeeping for a nondisclosure agreement he made with a former porn star. The excitement on some networks is palpable.
The scenario of a Democratic district attorney, Manhattan’s Alvin Bragg, putting Trump on trial amid a presidential campaign is striking in part because of a new survey showing a plurality of the public believing the Trump presidency was better for America than the presidency of Trump’s opponent, the sitting President Joe Biden.

Though America’s economy has shown some signs of health and growth, two experts warn it’s more "wobbly" than it seems. "The economy is growing. However, the gold price commodity prices are telling us the dollar is wobbly," Forbes Media founder and CEO Steve Forbes said on a "Kudlow" panel, Monday.
"The Fed's got problems ahead," he continued, "and you don't cure it by raising interest rates and depressing the economy."
Following up on Forbes’ commentary, ex-Council of Economic Advisors Chair and Trump administration senior advisor Kevin Hassett echoed unstable concerns.

President Biden’s National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan faced renewed scrutiny on social media this weekend for a 2023 comment claiming the Middle East was "quiet" after Iran launched the first-ever direct attack on Israel. "What we said is [we] want to depressurize, de-escalate and ultimately integrate the Middle East region," Sullivan said at The Atlantic Festival on Sept. 29.
"The war in Yemen is in its 19th month of truce. For now, the Iranian attacks against U.S. forces have stopped. Our presence in Iraq is stable. I emphasize for now because all of that can change and the Middle East region is quieter today than it has been in two decades,"

President Joe Biden’s Energy Department canceled its plan to purchase millions of barrels of oil to refill the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR). The cancellation means the Biden administration is unlikely to fulfill its promise of fully replenishing the SPR by the end of the year, and the SPR will remain at a historically low level after the administration depleted it in 2022.
The depletion of the SPR was caused by the Biden administration’s own failed energy policy. Shortly after he came into office, President Biden issued a series of anti-fossil fuel energy policies, including canceling the Keystone XL Pipeline project and halting leasing on federal lands for oil

Take a dip in the murky waters of recent Trump Apocalypse journalism—it says there’s gonna be a civil war and dictatorship. But don’t worry, not really—it’s just the politics of fear.
In a scary article subtitled “Donald Trump is warning that 2024 could be America’s last election,” New Republic alerts us that, if Trump wins, America is pretty much done being a democracy. “If we don’t win on November 5, I think our country is going to cease to exist. It could be the last election we ever have. I actually mean that,” Trump said out loud at a recent rally, so it couldn’t possibly be hyperbole

Inflation and crime, more than any others, are the political issues that voters feel in their gut rather than consider in their mind. For President Joe Biden, this is a massive problem because not only are Americans deeply worried about both, they blame the sitting president. According to the Real Clear Politics average of polls, 56% of Americans disapprove of Biden’s handling of crime, compared to a mere 38% who approve. On inflation, it's even worse, with the president 26 points underwater.
