A new report tells us that man-made global warming is driving up prices. Please tell us this is parody. It’s far too risible not to be.
Oh, but no. We’ve been assured that it’s a serious paper. “Global warming and heat extremes to enhance inflationary pressures,” was published last week in the peer-reviewed journal Communications: Earth and Environment. Axios tells us the study “incorporated more than 27,000 observations of monthly price indices across 121 countries in the developed and developing worlds during the 1996 to 2021 period, along with high-resolution weather observations.”
From that,

Nobel prize winning economist, Milton Friedman, said that inflation is always a monetary phenomenon. The Consumer Price Index is often taken to be an inflation measure, but the CPI measures prices, not inflation. Inflation has an effect on prices, of course, but the CPI is also affected by supply and demand movements and pressures . During the Bidon Presidency, with the large monetary expansion, i would say that inflation is the major cause of the rise in prices. Green costs could affect prices, but it doesn't look like very much at this time.

At SOME point, this insanity is going to implode as reality imposes itself on the climate nuts.
The first challenge is the collapse of all the green garbage that governments have imposed on us. Solar and wind are NOT working out as planned and new development is slowing down. EVs adoption and manufacturing is collapsing. Power shortage and outages, and the painful results of them, are becoming more common in areas that have been early adopters of green strategies.
In short, the proposed "solutions" to "climate change" are failing.
The climate nuts solution to this is to double down and become more extreme. However, people in general are realizing the "solutions" offered are not practical and hugely expensive. When the nuts start admitting things like "Well yes, EVs won't allow you to travel freely, but that's just a sacrifice you will HAVE to make!", people start to wake up to the true climate agenda, the destruction of our lifestyle.
People have been tolerant of the Climate Agenda thinking it's the same thing as cleaning up pollution, which is a good thing. But it isn't. Now, people are reconning the true costs of the nuttery. Once they do that, they start to take a HARD look at WHY we need to take these extreme measures. AND, they notice the WHY is VERY wobbly. Climate "science" simply doesn't hold up. The "warming" is heavily fudged. The predictions of how much and the expected impacts, such as sea level rise are NOT happening. Some of the predictions of temperature rise due to CO2 fly in the face of WELL KNOWN and HARD physical facts about the effects of CO2 in the atmosphere and what raising concentrations from 400 PPM (now) to 800 PPM in the future can have on the temperature. The HARD physical limit is about 1 degree Fahrenheit and LIKELY LESS because of secondary system effects that USUALLY counter the primary effects of CO@ increase.
The collapse of "green science" is assured. Once the cracks form and people begin demanding REAL science and REAL answers there will be a tidal wave of impact. Denial of responsibility will be huge but careers will be destroyed because questions about their "facts" have been repeatedly asked and they blew people off. REAL scientists take hard questions as an essential part of the search for scientific truth.

Not even close. They have yet to impose breathing quotas and farm animals are still walking around the fields like they own them. Birds can fly freely in the skies without paying tolls and they still haven't banned the burning of candles on birthday cakes. I'm anxiously waiting to see how many Gaia worshipers will be howling at the moon during the eclipse.

According to Britannica, CO2 is .032 of 1% of the gasses in the atmosphere. Water vapor is a much stronger greenhouse gas and can be up to 7% of the atmosphere. Both are essential for life. We will be in real trouble when greenies try to control water vapor after CO2 abatement fails. Maybe they are an anti-life lobby.

The trillion dollar juggernaut of climate nuttery rambles on. Many won't take heed to the absolute stupidity of the greenie weenie movement until they're freezing, roasting, or starving to death. I would say everyone will suffer, but we know who won't, wink, wink.

Inflation is 100% due to the government creating too much fiat money. NOTHING else causes it, no matter what sort of lies political hacks put out about it.
Human activity has no effect on global climate, and the climate has ZERO effect on monetary problems like inflation.
Lies, no matter how they are dressed up are still lies. THIS is a lie.

Re #7, that is slightly dated info. That's the value when first measured a century ago, or so. Today it has increased from 0.032% to 0.040% (about less than 1/20th of 1%). This is the increase that is driving these lunatics crazy.
The key factor to never lose sight of is that of all the CO2 going into the atmosphere in a year, human activity accounts for 4% of it. Meaning if ALL human activity ceased, humans were erased instantly, 96% of the CO2 would still go into the atmosphere, and the levels would still rise.
Human activities have no effect on hte global climate.
And even if human activities did have a tiny effect on the climate.....it is likely a POSITIVE effect, improving conditions for green plants which will pull more CO2 out of the atmosphere.
Climate nazis are crazed political hacks using this as an excuse for gaining money and power.

Say it with me: Correlation is not causation. But of course the hot air from Dementia Joe does in fact cause price inflation.

Nuttery? Not quite yet. It isn't unusual for snow to fall on hidden Easter Eggs. It would be unusual for it to happen in July (here in the central south), but it has happened. Stay tuned. Just call it the apocalypse and be done with it.

If warm weather causes prices to go up, then cool weather should cause prices to come down. I haven’t seen any prices coming down, but it’s been plenty cool over the last five or six months
