A divided appeals court said in a late-night ruling that a controversial Texas immigration law cannot go into effect as the state appeals a ruling that blocked it. The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals handed down the 2-1 ruling regarding Senate Bill 4 on Tuesday night, just a week after it had previously blocked the law, which – if enforced – would allow law enforcement in Texas to arrest suspected illegal immigrants and allow state judges to deport them. The court noted that this tends to be the jurisdiction of the federal government. "The broadest exercise of federal discretion is the Executive’s decision not to pursue either civilly or criminally

Since this court made a final ruling, can it be appealed to the SCOTUS again. I refuse to register or pay for Fox so I could not read the article. Fox News is Fredo to me!

The court is nonsensical. The police are charged with defending you, but if they don't, this court would rule you could not defend yourself. I think we should rethink having our lives ruled by judges.

Speaker Mike Johnson informed Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer that the House will send the impeachment articles against Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas to the Senate on April 10, according to a letter obtained by CNN, the next step in having an impeachment trial in the upper chamber. Schumer’s office responded to the letter saying senators will be sworn in as jurors on April 11. The House impeached Mayorkas on February 13 by an extremely narrow margin, making him the first Cabinet secretary to be impeached in almost 150 years.

Comer wrote a letter to President Biden Thursday afternoon asking Biden to testify so he can explain the role he appears to have played in his family’s alleged influence-peddling schemes, the main focus of the House GOP’s impeachment inquiry into the president. “The Committee has accounted for over $24 million that has flowed from foreign sources to you, your family, and their business associates. It's only March, but things are not going so well for Joe Biden in the presidential election cycle. Polls continue to show Donald Trump with a national lead, a result he rarely received in 2016 or 2020. The former president is also leading in various battleground states. That's got the White House in full panic mode despite the defiance and arrogance its members are showing publicly. The economy isn't in a full-scale collapse, but it's hurting people where it matters most, i.e. with ever-increasing prices and interest rates. On a security front, Biden has overseen the worst illegal immigration crisis in American history and things are just as chaotic overseas.

A 3,000-acre solar farm 40 miles from Houston, Texas, was massively damaged on March 15 when huge chunks of hail fell from the sky and shattered hundreds of panels, leaving the facility running at “reduced capacity.” From the look of the pictures, it would seem that it’s operating at heavily reduced capacity. Not only does the storm highlight the fragility of so-called green energy facilities, but area residents are worried about toxic chemical leaks. Needville resident Nick Kaminski spoke with a local television affiliate: My concern is the hail damage that came through and busted these panels – we now have some highly toxic chemicals

Israeli government spokesman Avi Hyman said Wednesday that there had been “zero” civilian casualties in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attack on Hamas terrorists at the Shifa Hospital in Gaza city, despite many terrorist casualties. As Breitbart News has reported, the IDF discovered earlier this month that Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists had returned to Shifa Hospital, which Israel had cleared out late last year, discovering terrorist weapons and tunnels. When the IDF returned to the hospital, it came under fire from terrorists inside the facility, and began a careful and methodical attack that has seen, at last count, 170 terrorists killed and nearly 500 members of terror groups arrested.

Biden frequently calls Obama to discuss the ongoing election and personal matters. But, talking to Ol' Joe and being productive seem to be two different things, so Obama is taking matters into his own hands by reaching out to Jeffrey D. Zients, the White House chief of staff, and key aides in the Biden campaign to strategize and offer advice. The New York City council is asking the state’s Supreme Court to allow illegal immigrants to vote in the city’s municipal elections. In 2021, then-Mayor Bill de Blasio signed a law that would have allowed 800,000 non-citizens with green cards, visas, and work permits to vote as long as they have resided in the city for at least 30 consecutive days. However, the controversial law was struck down last month by an appellate court.

For the longest time, the media played this game of pretending that it doesn’t consist entirely of a bunch of leftist activists who exist to promote their political agenda and attack those of their political opponents. The pretense is wearing thin. And who knew that Ronna McDaniel of all people would be the breaking point? But it’s kind of like the way that the media’s attacks on dishwater liberals like McCain and Romney, portraying them as Hitler 2.0 just because they posed a threat to Obama, helped kill the media’s credibility. [SNIP] Now NBC News has officially banned Republicans, even ones like Ronna McDaniel, from working there.

In addition to terms describing Islamic terrorists, ODNI instructs employees to avoid phrases such as "blacklisted," "cakewalk," "brown bag," "grandfathered," and "sanity check."

Engineers have blamed the deadly collapse of Baltimore's Francis Scott Key bridge on a design flaw that is present in tens of thousands of US bridges. Several experts told DailyMail.com that the Maryland bridge was missing critical protection systems that would have stopped the the nearly 105,000 ton container ship from smashing into the bridge's support. The Francis Scott Key Bridge was built in 1977 and anti-collision devices like fenders or protection cells were not introduced until the 1980s.

It’s hard to survey the state of our country and not conclude that something is very wrong in America. I don’t just mean with our economy or the border or rampant crime in our cities, but with our basic grasp on reality itself. Our cultural and political elite now insist that men can become women, and vice versa, and that even children can consent to what they euphemistically call “gender-affirming care.”
