Will the 2024 Election Get Lost in the Mail?

In the absence of an extremely unlikely recovery of public confidence in the President and the Democrats, the voters will attempt to return the White House and the Senate to the Republicans in November. As to the presidency, Trump is the beneficiary of an accelerating collapse in the traditional Democratic coalition that rested on a foundation of white working class and minority voters. And there aren’t enough “highly-educated” voters to prop up this crumbling edifice. With regard to the Senate, the Democrats face a brutal map this year. Of the 33 seats up for election, 23 are held by Democrats.

Again, the Democrat strategy is simple. They count ballots, we count voters. There is a difference. Flood the zone with ballots. Who cares if the intended "recipient" is eligible, resides at the address where the ballot is sent, or is even alive. As long as the ballot arrives and someone is able to execute that ballot and return it to the election authorities, the thinking is "you can't invalidate someone's ballot." Somewhere the other day, I heard that a Civil War veteran in Michigan voted. Silly me, but I think the last Civil War vet died over 70 years ago. We've seen the analysis where hundreds of ballots are mailed to voters living in commercial addresses, or multiple voters residing in, for example, vacant lots or small one-bedroom apartments. The Republican strategy should include being sure voter rolls are accurate. And that's a 12 month job, year around, not just before an election.

Mail in ballots are the voter fraud. Once mailed out, the ballots are in the system, and there are no checks and balances to determine who received it, filled it out, signed it, or sent it back. Glad that the RNC has this as there top priority.

President Joe Biden is in a bad spot in his upcoming rematch against former President Donald Trump. In short: The incumbent’s job approval ratings are that of one-term presidents. “Joe Biden’s 38% approval rating at this stage in the calendar is lower than that of the last three presidents who went on to lose re-election: 1. Donald Trump (48%) 2. George H.W. Bush (39%) 3. Jimmy Carter (43%),” long-time GOP pollster Frank Luntz pointed out on X, formerly Twitter.

Biden's Weird Trip to Saginaw 9 replies

President Biden campaigned in Saginaw, Michigan this week. The optics were bad. It is difficult to understand exactly what the Biden campaign's strategy is as he tries to convince voters that he should be re-elected in November. The campaign is concentrating on swing states, as is expected, but when Saginaw, Michigan was chosen, people rightly asked why. It turns out that Saginaw County is a swing county in a swing state. Voters in Saginaw County voted for Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and then Joe Biden. Will they stay with Biden this time around? Why would anyone vote for Joe Biden after seeing him on the campaign trail?

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) appeared on CNN Tuesday night to discuss the latest developments in the Israel-Hamas war including alleged ceasefire negotiations that are reportedly on again, off again.During the segment, Omar criticized Israel for allegedly not showing up for the latest round of negotiations in Egypt. "It was Israel that refused to send negotiators to be at the table to carve out," Omar stated. "You have to remember that a ceasefire is not something that happens magically. It is a process that is negotiated by different parties that have interests." Israel, of course, is not interested in a ceasefire as long as Hamas has Israeli hostages,

It was inevitable that the corporate media would applaud President Biden’s State of the Union address if he had the vitality to stand upright for two hours and the vision to read a teleprompter. For ordinary voters who aren’t paid to praise him, Biden’s performance last Thursday night probably confirmed many of their fears about leaving him in office for another term. This, for example, is how he described the current state of our domestic politics: “Not since President Lincoln and the Civil War have freedom and democracy been under assault here at home as they are today.”

In mid-February, an ABC News/Ipsos poll found that nearly nine out of 10 Americans think Joe Biden is too old to serve a second term as president. That's not exactly breaking news. What is newsworthy is veteran political analyst Brit Hume declaring on Tuesday night that Biden is "palpably senile."(Snip)The newsworthiness was less about what was said and more about who said it. Hume has been a respected journalist for decades. After spending 23 years at ABC News, he left the network in 1996 to join Fox News. Democrat Fani Willis’ legal troubles extend beyond recent revelations that she deceptively hired her otherwise under-qualified, secret, married lover to run the political prosecution of former President Donald Trump and other Republicans in Georgia. A new book from Mike Isikoff and Daniel Klaidman admits that a widely misunderstood phone call, on which Willis’ political prosecution rests, was illegally recorded. That means the entire prosecution could crumble with defendants having a new avenue to challenge Democrat lawfare. Find Me the Votes: A Hard-Charging Georgia Prosecutor, a Rogue President, and the Plot to Steal an American Election is a fawning political biography of Willis.

Any rational person familiar with the behavior of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis during the prosecutorial misconduct hearings that finally ended last Friday has probably concluded that her conduct has created the “appearance of impropriety.” This, according to defense lawyers for former President Trump and several co-defendants, is sufficient to disqualify Willis and the Fulton County DA’s office from prosecuting the RICO case they launched last August. Indeed, defense attorney Harry MacDougald cited six examples of actual conflicts of interest, any one of which is sufficient to disqualify Willis and her office. Yet it’s unlikely that it will happen.

Attorney Terrence Bradley testified yesterday in the hearing on the possible disqualification of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and Special Counsel Nathan Wade in the “conspiracy so immense” charges against President Trump et al. pending in Georgia state court. Bradley is Wade’s former law partner and lawyer in his divorce proceeding. He knows when the Willis/Wade romance began because Wade told him. Indeed, as Techno Fog notes, Bradley has previously stated in text messages to Ashleigh Merchant (attorney for defendant Michael Roman) that: (1) the relationship between Willis and Wade started before he was appointed special prosecutor,

Fani Willis wearing her dress backwards was the least of her worries while on the stand answering to ethics complaints in Fulton County, Ga., last week. Body language experts say the Fulton County top prosecutor has much bigger issues than simply storming the hearing, sashaying down the aisle, and demanding her surprised underlings let her testify. Willis' dress punctuated the absurdity of the story the sashaying DA tried to peddle. She spun yarns to explain why she did nothing wrong because she paid in cash. If you saw this slow-motion train crash, you know Willis didn't help her cause as she tried to prove that she wasn't misusing her office

One of the funniest passages in Mark Twain’s autobiography involves the effect of old age on his mental acuity: “When I was younger, I could remember anything, whether it had happened or not; but my faculties are decaying now and soon I shall be so I cannot remember any but the things that never happened.” It’s less amusing when we recall that this could have been said by President Biden — if he could string together two coherent sentences. The latest example of his ability to remember things that never happened occurred last week, when he told fundraisers that foreign leaders have warned him former President Trump threatens democracy.

Another day, another example of how our illiberal “inclusivity” mandates are taking a jackhammer to the integrity and fairness of female athletics. We’ve seen it in golf, swimming, skateboarding, cycling, surfing and volleyball. The latest entry for the women’s sports hall of shame happened on the hardwood. During a girl’s hoops game earlier this month in Massachusetts, Collegiate Charter School in Lowell forfeited a game against KIPP Academy at halftime because they had three players go down with injuries. The team, already battered and bruised, wanted to preserve themselves for the upcoming playoffs, according to the school’s athletic director.

A new capital would signify a new beginning for the nation. Everyone who has seen the play Hamilton knows that the nation’s capital was moved to the present site in the District of Columbia due to a dinner-table bargain in 1790 between Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson. Hamilton needed Jefferson’s support in Congress to win approval for federal assumption of revolutionary war debts; in return, Jefferson wanted Hamilton’s support in moving the capital from New York City to a location nearer to the population and geographical center of the country, later carved out between the states of Maryland and Virginia.

"Outlaw your car" sounds like such an outrageous phrase, and technically speaking, it isn't true — but only barely. What practical difference is there between outlawing something, and regulating it out of existence? That's exactly what the EPA intends to do this week with strict new rules going forward against gas- and diesel-powered cars and light trucks. Expected as soon as Wednesday, the Biden EPA "is poised to finalize emissions rules that will effectively require a certain percentage — as much as two-thirds by 2032 — of new cars to be all-electric," according to Inside EVs. Politico sells the expected rule as one that would "tackle the nation’s biggest source

The Justices of the Supreme Court make their living with words. They read them, they write them, they speak them, they listen to them, and they rule with them. We currently have a Justice who uses words very poorly. At her confirmation hearing before the Senate, Justice Jackson was asked to give a definition of “woman.” That’s a legitimate question, since many legal matters depend on whether a given person is a woman or a man. Her answer was: “I can’t. Not in this context. I’m not a biologist.”

The Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed a Texas law to take effect that enables state law enforcement to arrest people they suspect are illegally entering the United States from Mexico. The three liberal justices publicly dissented from the court’s order clearing the way for the controversial statute, SB4. The Biden administration had urged the justices to block the law, passed by Texas’s Republican-controlled legislature last year, asserting it is an “unprecedented intrusion into federal immigration enforcement.”
