MTA chief Janno Lieber said Friday that like it or not, congestion pricing is happening — as about 100 New York City firefighters and scores of other foes showed up at a public hearing in Manhattan to protest it.
While the hearing was the transit agency’s second in two days to supposedly listen to the public over the proposed back-breaking new $15 Midtown toll, Lieber told reporters during a break that any attempts to halt the plan are DOA at this point.
“This is frequently represented like I went on a drinking binge and came up with this idea in funding the MTA,’’

'Transit officials predict the toll could raise $1 billion per year..'
Why not? It's evident that if you're a successful business in NY, the state will fine you and seize your property, Wait for taxes on beef, too. St Leticia, the AG, is going after cattle producers.
Smash and grabs, street assaults, and subway murders are just part of the package.

I wonder if SUVs are classified as a car ($15) or small truck ($24). In any case, the cost over the course of a year will be enormous.

My liberal niece lives near the foot of the GW bridge. She chooses to live there. She teaches 6th grade science in a school in the Bronx so she knows everything about science.
I asked her if the Earth fell where would it fall to. She said it would not fall because the Earth is held in the Sun's gravity. Then, I asked where does the Sun gets it gravity. (silence)

I'll do my part to help NYC. I'll stay well away from the city. In fact I'll stay away from the state of New York.

It’ll be really expensive when you get hit with this toll and want to eat in a busy Wendy’s.
Staying home to eat cereal for dinner won’t seem so bad.

The MTA "chief" is just another unelected, political hack bureaucrat.
And to think - - the "tough" N'Yawkiz are allowing all of this to happen. I'm so glad I got out of there when I did.

I bet if this happens (and NY survives at all) they will start charging admission to people who walk in. Those sidewalks are crowded too.

Yet another reason for truckers to stop beef/meat deliveries to NYC. One more reason to skip the state of NY altogether.

It already sucks to live and work in New York and now they're making it worse. When the city becomes 100% illegal alien immigrants it will be all over.
