WASHINGTON — House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer asked the National Archives Wednesday to hand over any unredacted records in which President Biden used a pseudonym during his vice presidency — as Republicans move closer to launching an impeachment inquiry into his role in son Hunter’s foreign business dealings. Emails previously released by the Archives and retrieved from Hunter’s abandoned laptop reveal that Joe Biden used the email address “Robert.L.Peters@pci.gov” while Barack Obama’s second-in-command and that his aide John Flynn cc’d Hunter on 10 emails containing the elder Biden’s daily schedule between May 18 and June 15, 2016.

A Congressional Committee Chairman who makes a request for agency records SHOULD NOT have to specify, unredacted copies. Well, that was how it use to be when I dealt with such committee requests. Of course, NARA has become just as politicized and weaponized as the DOJ and FBI, et al.

A new report released in June by the FBI concluded that the female and male Georgia Poll Workers who jammed stacks of ballots through voting machines numerous times on election night 2020 after observers were sent home — did nothing wrong! According to the report that was recently released the “bulk of the investigation appears to have been conducted in December 2020 and January 2021, but both the State Election Board and the Georgia Secretary of State’s office was backed up reviewing claims.” Here again is video of the election workers pulling hidden suitcases out from under a draped table, jamming the ballots through the machines multiple times. Ask Alan Dershowitz about other people’s opinions and he’d likely say, “There's no such thing as a false idea or a false opinion.” The Harvard constitutional law professor emeritus and celebrated defense attorney made that observation during an interview August 9 in reference to some of Donald Trump’s legal travails, but Dershowitz’s analysis could just as easily apply to the broader society. At least it should.Until recently, simple opinions were unremarkable; people would observe things and formulate a point of view. Not everyone would agree with a particular opinion, but that’s okay,

Republicans remain relatively split regarding their opinions on presidential hopeful Pence. Overall, 47 percent have a very or somewhat favorable view of the former vice president, compared to 45 percent who have an unfavorable view. For greater perspective, according to a summary of the survey, 89 percent of Republicans had a favorable view of Pence prior to the 2020 presidential election.

As of now, House Republicans have removed funds from the FY 2024 budget for the controversial $3.5 billion proposed relocation of the FBI’s Washington, D.C. headquarters to a new complex at one of three locations in the D.C. suburbs of Virginia or Maryland. Some House Republicans want to keep the FBI headquarters at its current location and view the relocation proposal as unwise and wasteful. Others want to downsize, defund or eliminate the Bureau – and not to reward it with a sprawling new headquarters complex – because they believe it has been weaponized against conservatives.

Chutkan signaled she will gag Trump in the middle of a presidential campaign.

There’s a group of people who control what you are allowed to see – the news you read, the videos you watch, the posts you engage with. You haven’t heard of them. You don’t know their names, but they determine, through methods both direct and indirect, whether you are allowed to be exposed to particular messages. Their decisions can bankrupt companies, silence voices and fundamentally shift cultural norms. Who are these people and how do they do this? Well, at the top level you have a network of global elites who have created a universal framework full of guidelines and ratings designed to enforce “approved” narratives and punish disapproved ones.

Since Taiwanese President Lee Teng-hui’s June 1995 visit to his alma mater, Cornell University, to give the commencement address, China has reacted with coercive measures against Taiwan. Lee’s visit was used by Beijing to launch a series of ballistic missiles into the waters around the island. Beijing reaction caused the Third Taiwan Straits Crisis of 1995-1996. Unlike the previous crises of 1954-1955 and 1958, the Third Crisis demonstrated Beijing’s growing capabilities to implement a blockade or invasion of Taiwan. Since the late-1990s, China’s military capabilities have grown spectacularly to the point where they are a formidable danger to the U.S., its allies, and to Taiwan.

Special counsel Jack Smith's team obtained a search warrant in January for records related to former President Donald Trump's Twitter account, and a judge levied a $350,000 fine on the company for a delay in complying, according to court documents released Wednesday. The details were included in a decision from the federal appeals court in Washington rejecting Twitter's claim that it should not have been held in contempt or sanctioned. X, the San Francisco-based platform formerly known as Twitter, sent an automated reply to a request for comment, saying it would respond soon.

Gun sales do not seem to be affected by the Biden economy or the inflation that has come with it. July of this year marked 48 straight months of record gun sales. People are obviously concerned about crime, but one of the other things driving this is the constant threat of greater gun control from Democrats. People used to call Obama the world’s greatest gun salesman, but this trend has continued even with him out of office.

In April, the Democratic Party announced it would no longer use its longtime lawyer Marc Elias, and now we know why. The Democrats got tired of losing, or as Axios put it, Elias’ approach often “backfired.” Elias himself does not tire of losing, and here’s why. His lawsuits — parading as a fight for “democracy” by tearing down voter ID, secure drop boxes, and signature matching — have nothing to do with our nation’s interests. Instead, as Elias’ allies admitted to Axios, his work is nothing more than “a political strategy that is actually a business strategy,”

The American Medical Association (AMA) has suggested that taxpayers should subsidize uterus transplants worth up to $300,000 to help transgender women get pregnant. Arguments were made to reduce the cost of the surgery in its Journal of Ethics issue in June titled Patient-Centered Transgender Surgical Care. But the AMA has been criticized for floating the idea and has been accused of holding an 'activist position'. It argued that trans women's inability to bear children may cause them to experience 'psychological dissonance' which undermines their health and well-being.

President Joe Biden suddenly changed his tone during a speech Wednesday and started yelling that the US has never failed at “one thing.” The speech given on Wednesday, following the second anniversary of the catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan, was given from the East Room of the White House and was meant to tout the one-year anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act, which did anything but that. Nevertheless, Biden is crowing over its delusional success. (Snip) The modern Left has a dream – that soon, very soon, every vehicle in the world will be electric, running on a heavy, cobalt-laden, lithium battery that needs to be charged up somewhere with electricity derived from an out-of-sight coal plant. The EV’s current average, we are told, is eight hours to a “full charge,” whatever that means. It might be a couple hundred miles, maybe less, maybe more. Some chargers charge faster, some vehicles take longer. We rarely see the EVs charging up while we fill our normal cars

During the inferno that devastated part of the island of Maui, wiping entire towns off the map and possibly killing more than a thousand people (once a full assessment can be made), people on Maui begged state officials to allow West Maui stream water to be diverted to fill up reservoirs for firefighting. That request went to M. Kaleo Manuel, Deputy Director of Hawaii's Commission on Water Resource Management, and he delayed approval of that water for five hours - five hours in which the once-contained fire exploded. By the time the approval was received, workers were unable to reach the siphon release so that the water could be diverted.
