Megyn Kelly said that The Walt Disney Company’s emphasis on “wokeness” has cost it nearly $1 billion at the box office due to “flops” such as “Lightyear,” “The Little Mermaid” and “Elemental.”
Kelly devoted a segment of Thursday’s SiriusXM podcast “The Megyn Kelly Show” to a YouTube report that claimed the Mouse House lost $900 million on its last eight feature films, several of which include prominent “woke” characters. “The people are not buying this content,” Kelly said during her podcast on Thursday.
“They don’t want this content.”
Kelly noted that media giants Disney, Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery have all seen their heads of diversity leave their jobs.

Saw a report the other day that the park isn't crowded and July used to be one of the busiest month. If there park starts losing money they will be done in 2 years.

Every business should remember that to ensure success it must provide to their customers things that the CUSTOMER wants; not what the business believes the customer should have. Maybe that's too simple a formula for some businesses to understand?

The Disney people of today have favored sin and naked women instead of God. AND: If one refuses to accept God as our creator, all hope is gone.

Why can't these LGBTQ freaks just leave us alone?
I don't go out of my way to pick on them while they flaunt their nakedness and sick sexual practices in front of me and people's children, Just leave us and our kids alone, people.

There was an entertaining documentary on a few weeks ago that depicted forty Disney sites around the world where entire theme parks and sections of Disney World in Florida have been abandoned and left to rot due to non-attendance and loss of interest. They went all the way from Florida to Vietnam, No wonder they have to charge hundreds of dollars for the ones that are still open. The magic is disappearing and Disney still continues the suicide.

I agree with everything in this article except: "The casting of Halle Bailey, an African American actress, as the lead character Ariel in its recently released live-action remake of “The Little Mermaid” also stirred controversy."
It did stir controversy, but I don't know why. Myths about mermaids are found world-wide. Who decided they had to be White? The Lorelei from the Rhine River - okay. But Ulysses' Sirens are found in the Mediterranean, which washes up on the coast of north Africa, so why not a Black mermaid?
I won't even begin to guess on Starbuck's two-tailed South American sirena, but I don't think she is a natural blonde.

Now they are down at least another $235 million on the new Indiana Jones fiasco. Keep it up, Disney!

#8, the original story was written by Hans Christian Andersen who was Danish. You can go see her statue just off shore in Copenhagen’s harbor. I don’t believe that were many, if any, blacks in Denmark in the 1837. The only reason to have a black in the role is to push the woke agenda.

Parents used to take their Young Children to Disney because they read Books and watched Films about the Disney Characters! The Kidos wanted to see the Cinderella Castle! They wanted the Rides and everything else they read a Disney Park has to offer. So, off we went to give our Kids their Dream Vacation. Families saved for years to be able to afford that vacation! Disney, then, was everything they dreamed it would be. Now, not so much. The New Disney is far from what the Original Disney was and parents have notices. Now, they have to call Disney to be sure they were not booking their kids dream vacation during Pride Week when grown men march in the Parade in Sequined Jock Straps and Feather Boas wrapped around their Bare Chests! Imagine having to explain THAT to a 5 year old! Disney is killing the Golden Goose all by themselves by forcing "woke" on the paying customers and the Customers are finally pushing back and saying "No Way" with their Wallets!

#10 "...a Norwegian educational text from the mid 13th century, refer to a seatroll called margyger. Resembling a woman from the waist upwards, with big nipples, long arms and long hair, the fingers of her big hands however, were bound together with webbed, and down below she had a tail and finds like a fish."

Andersen got that wrong, too; part and parcel of the Romanticization movement to clean up and idealize older, darker, dystopic folk beliefs and stories. (Such as deleting from the story of Cinderella, the step-sisters slicing off parts of their feet so that the glass slipper would fit.)
Disney, from its beginning, continued this trend by infantilizing the stories. Now Disney, et. al., are Romanticizing and infantilizing our current "folk beliefs", too.

This is what happens when a business changes its vision from one of asking customers what they want, to telling customers what they really want (or what they SHOULD really want).
I try not to wallow in Schadenfreude, though; so I'll leave the knife-twisting to Me-again Kelly this time.

I can't wait to see the movie that will feature a black Rapunzel. She'll have to grow two hundred yards of hair before it can reach the ground and then it can't be raining.
I don't think the failure of the Little Mermaid had anything personal to do with Halle Berry personally, who is beautiful and immensely talented. As #10 states, it's the woke agenda. Disney itself turns people off.
