Last week, the Supreme Court handed down 303 Creative LLC v. Elenis, in which it held that the government cannot force people to engage in expressive speech that offends them. Two days later, Al Franken put out a tweet intended to denigrate the decision. Instead, the Harvard-educated “comedian” accidentally revealed just how good the Supreme Court opinion was. I’m not a huge fan of Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch because it was he who issued the staggeringly incorrect decision holding that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 extends to “gender identity.” However, when it comes to Free Speech, Gorsuch nailed it. “Ponzi Scheme” is a term that was coined about 100 years ago. It was named after an Italian immigrant, Charles Ponzi, who realized he could get investors by promising large returns for undefined, high-yield investments. His endeavor needed to make just enough money to keep attracting new investors, whose money, after Ponzi’s cut, was used to pay some of the earlier investors. In our modern day, Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scheme resulted in losses in the billions of dollars when the stock market tanked during the Great Recession.

Americans are just beginning to see the tip of the iceberg of their own trillion-dollar Ponzi scheme, Social Security (“SSA”).
The Supreme Court handed down a definitive ruling against the use of racial preferences in college admissions, declaring in a 6-3 decision on Thursday: “Eliminating racial discrimination means eliminating all of it.”
The syllabus opinion in Students for Fair Admissions v. President and Fellows of Harvard College notes that any exceptions to that principle — based on the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution — “must survive a daunting two-step examination known as “strict scrutiny.” Unless the discrimination is for a “compelling” government interest, and is “necessary” to achieve it, it is unconstitutional.
Months after that humiliating 37-point loss of her Wyoming congressional seat in to attorney Harriet Hageman, Liz Cheney apparently is still stewing.

Movies are sometimes a Rorschach test regarding how one views the world. Like Rorschach tests, they can leave observers scratching their heads. As an example, my top 10 movies are probably, in no particular order, Gladiator, Tombstone, Braveheart, LA Confidential, Valley Girl, Lost in Translation, Galaxy Quest, Trading Places, Love Actually, and maybe Titanic.
I’m not sure what that list says about me, particularly the inclusion of Valley Girl, but I’m sure some psychiatrist somewhere could say there’s something to be taken from it. The one thing I can observe from my list is that most of my movies have a good guy vs. bad guy conflict

The experts at the Tax Foundation fret that the current debate about extending the debt ceiling has lost track of the fact that Social Security is a major contributor to our growing deficit and debt crisis.
They may be right about the fiscal ADHD on Capitol Hill, however, let’s make sure we are keeping track of the right discussion. It is true that both the growing deficit and long-term stability of Social Security are valid concerns that should draw the attention of Americans. These issues deserve the attention of all voters -- just not in the same sentence.

Fox 5 News Atlanta reported that Khalid Kamau, the socialist mayor of South Fulton, Georgia, was arrested Saturday morning after entering unlawfully entering a house and refused to accept responsibility. He was charged with criminal trespass and burglary in the first degree.
One could say he was leading by example considering his dangerous leftist policies encourage this sort of behavior.
Kamau was booked into the Fulton County Jail and was released at 8 P.M. Saturday night after posting an $11,000 bond.
