Texas Power Grid Warning: Demand Will
Rise Considerably Amid Soaring Temperatures

The Texas state power grid is anticipating higher demand due to rising temperatures, with the state predicted to see “dangerous heat” this weekend. “ERCOT has issued a Weather Watch June 15-21 due to forecasted higher temperatures and anticipated higher electrical demand,” the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), the state’s power grid operator, said in a June 14 post on Twitter. The operator’s grid conditions remained “Normal” as of 01:00 p.m. EDT, with operating reserves at 6,094 MW. ERCOT manages the flow of electric power to over 26 million customers in Texas, representing roughly 90 percent of the state’s electric load.

Texas has had 2 years to address this problem. Quit lecturing customers, and get off your duff's and produce electricity to meet demand. You have all the historical usages of electricity, and you can estimate demand for all the new construction in Texas, which is considerable. Quit making excuses, and whining. It is not pretty, and has become tiresome. You definitely would not have made it in the frontier.

I'm so old that I remember back when the people running the power grid were aware of this and designed, built and maintained EXCESS CAPACITY into their power grid for this sort of predictable and predicted situation. Effing ecoterrorists have taken control of even the Texas power grid, it would appear, intent on making people miserable....for NO good reasons, but they mumble and stumble about "carbon" and "eco" and "green" .....all lies, all nonsense.

Its hot so shut off those ACs. We already know the charging eVs will shut off automatically when the batteries get too warm.

They certainly need better planning. It's not like it's a great mystery that Texas gets hot in the summer. As the old arsonist, William T. Sherman said, "If I owned both Texas and Hell, I would rent out Texas and live in Hell." Actually, I like Texas and most Texans. "Cump's" quote would be more accurate today by substituting one of our Dem-run big city hellholes.

NE Texas and NW Louisiana have been without power since a bad storm on the 19th. Temperature is 96, humidity is 64. Gas stations could not pump gas without power. ...no refrigerated food in stores. Thousands and thousands without power. Inside homes is > 90 degrees. Power company says to expect power restored by the 23rd. SIX DAYS with no power. This is not the fault of ERCOT, just a really bad storm that knocked down power lines. Some people dumped out their refrigerators and went to stay with relatives elsewhere. Most people just have to hunker down and survive somehow.

That's why we have a standby generator to take over when the power grid fails. Expensive to purchase and install, but worth it's weight in gold when you need it.

Remember Rick Perry opened up 'privatization of the Texas Generators". Allowed Enron & Calpine to buy power plants, shut down lignite coal plants, demand price energy, and the Legislators got to get lobbying money. The Texas Government used to Regulate the power production & tell Dallas Power & Light, Houston Lighting & Power, SWEPCO, Central Power & Light how many NEW power plants to build each year of Megawatts to have the safety factor for the anticipated growth in demand. You can see the 50,000 housing starts in Houston, forward that 6-12 months and at 3000kwh per house in the summer.... Not rocket science, not even a computer needed. Slide rules got it done. But that was back when a good portion of Texas did not have central air conditioning - just window units. And you had cotton sheets and screens on your windows to keep out the mosiquitoes (h/t Dan Quail).....ah the good old days....

Some money grabber texted me this afternoon asking for a fifty dollar donation to help with the recovery for Texans from the storms over the last few days. My phone and service were gifts from my son. That means I will only block the caller and not try to find out if it was a real charity or just some brainy bum who figured out the system. Back when I paid my own service to the company that has an A in their name, I'd have spent the day clawing my way up their hidden ladder and given someone a piece of my mind. Probably would have been an important piece, anyway.

Simple solution. Conservatives use the electricity generated by coal/oil. Liberals use the electricity generated by solar panels and windmills.

Atrazine is one of the most commonly used herbicides in the world, and is often used to control weeds in commercial crops. It is also available on Amazon for home use. Atrazine is applied to corn, soybean and sugarcane as well as on turf, such as golf courses and residential lawns. Atrazine is an endocrine disrupter, which is able both demasculinize (chemically castrate) and completely feminize adult male frogs as well as other aquatic life. It has been documented to affect murine (mouse) reproductive systems. That endocrine disruptors found in this herbicide will make its way into puddles, ponds, lakes, streams, rivers and even ocean is well proven. That these herbicides are feminizing

According to Bill Barr, the DOJ, FBI and US Intelligence Community control the Office of the President. Look at what he is saying.
