While Florida Governor Ron DeSantis "proudly" considers his state the place "woke goes to die," rival former President Donald Trump said many people don't even know what the term means. The contenders for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination have been trading jabs over the past few days regarding the term "woke," which has become a politically charged word in recent years. DeSantis frequently uses the term—even campaigning on a pledge to eradicate "woke ideology." His ongoing war against "woke" includes Florida's Stop the Wrongs to Our Kids and Employees (W.O.K.E.) Act, which DeSantis introduced in 2021 and signed into law last year. The law, according to the Governor's Office, gives businesses,

An unusual and perhaps notable event unfolded at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore this week, one of the only regional defense summits in the region held each year. Most of you are already no doubt aware of the increasing level of tension between the United States and China that has been growing steadily for the past two years. Many have been speculating about the possibility of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan and even the possibility of World War 3. But Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu addressed the conference and took a decidedly different tone than we’ve been hearing out of Beijing recently. He bemoaned the idea that

WASHINGTON — The pilot of a business jet that flew over Washington and crashed in a remote part of Virginia appeared to be slumped over and unresponsive, three U.S. officials said Monday, recounting observations by fighter pilots who intercepted the wayward flight. The revelations came as federal investigators trudged through rugged terrain to reach the site where the plane slammed into a mountain Sunday, killing four people. The officials who said that the fighter pilots saw the civilian pilot slumped over had been briefed on the matter and spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss details of the military operation.

If this is confirmed it could turn out to be the biggest story you’ll see, and perhaps the biggest story of all time, even if most of the MSM will be completely ignoring or whitewashing it for a while, which we’ll get to below. (Please read everything else in this article as being prefaced by “if this is confirmed” so I don’t have to type it over and over again.) According to reporting by veteran journalists Leslie Kean and Ralph Blumenthal, the reporters who broke the original AATIP UFO program story for the New York Times in 2017, along with Australian investigative journalist Ross Coulthart, a whistleblower

GETTY IMAGES Former US Vice-President Mike Pence has officially filed paperwork to join an increasingly crowded field of Republicans running for president. The move pits him against former President Donald Trump, the man he served in the White House for four years from 2017-21. Mr Trump is currently polling well ahead of his competition. Mr Pence, 63, is expected to formally launch his campaign with a video and speech on Wednesday. The former Indiana governor and congressman has distanced himself from his former boss since the riot by Trump supporters at the US Capitol in January 2021. Mr Trump pressured Mr Pence to overturn Joe Biden's election victory when he presided over the certification

The Securities and Exchange Commission filed 13 charges against Binance, the world's largest crypto exchange, and its co-founder Changpeng Zhao, alleging that both comingled billions of dollars worth of user funds and sent them to a European company controlled by Zhao. The U.S. regulator alleged that Zhao and his exchange worked to subvert "their own controls" to allow high-net worth U.S. investors and customers to continue trading on Binance's unregulated international exchange. Zhao dismissed the charges on Twitter by saying "4," a popular refrain in Binance's community urging users to ignore fear, uncertainty, and doubt, or "FUD." The SEC alleged that Binance and Zhao violated "critical" provisions of federal

If Bud Light sales continue to lag, the brand risks losing shelf space at major retailers to competitors and 'locking in' lower market share, a former Anheuser-Busch executive has claimed. In recent weeks, Bud Light sales have been down roughly a quarter from a year ago, as the brand faces conservative backlash over an April marketing deal with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Anson Frericks, the former US president of sales and distribution for St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch, said that retailers such as Walmart and Kroger typically 'reset' their shelf space allocations in the spring and fall, based on sales data. For the fall reset in September, 'they generally

Walt Disney’s Pixar Animation Studios has cut 75 jobs, including two executives behind Lightyear, a woke revisionist take on a beloved Toy Story character that ended up being a box-office failure. Sources told Reuters of the job cuts on Saturday, which mark the first major job eliminations at the legendary studio in ten years. A Vermont school district has agreed to settle out of court with a $125,000 payment to a family that district officials punished over their criticism of a boy the district allowed to use the girls’ locker rooms at the school. Last year, a coach objected to rules set by Randolph Union Middle School in Vermont, where a teen boy who claimed to be a “transgender girl” was allowed to “creep out” girls in the girls’ locker rooms. The situation escalated when the school’s girls’ soccer coach, Travis Allen, complained to district officials that the boy was causing the real girls to feel uncomfortable.

If Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan decided to be a presidential candidate next year, she would be barred from the debates. The GOP debate rules include a pledge to support the Republican 2024 presidential nominee and Ms. Noonan makes it clear, from the opening paragraph of her latest weekend column that she would not back a Trump candidacy. Noonan declares in her lede paragraph that if "Trump Republicans" nominate the former president next year, "they will have ended the Republican Party.' That there be no mistaking her comment as mere figurative remark, she declares in the following paragraph:

As a proud American who happens to be gay, I say it's time to end gay pride month. Last week the Los Angeles Dodgers came under intense criticism, including from a number of the team's players, for inviting a group of "queer and trans nuns" with a long history of anti-Catholic activities to its "10th annual LGBTQ+ Pride Night" on June 16th. This is just the latest controversial virtue signal on gay alphabet-soup identity politics, following close on the (high) heels of Bud Light's decision to promote a flamboyant transgender influencer on its cans and Target and Kohl's stores marketing transgender children's wear in observance of gay pride month.
