Apocalyptic Peggy Noonan threatens ‘Trump Republicans’

Original Article

Posted By: DW626, 6/5/2023 7:13:22 AM

If Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan decided to be a presidential candidate next year, she would be barred from the debates. The GOP debate rules include a pledge to support the Republican 2024 presidential nominee and Ms. Noonan makes it clear, from the opening paragraph of her latest weekend column that she would not back a Trump candidacy. Noonan declares in her lede paragraph that if "Trump Republicans" nominate the former president next year, "they will have ended the Republican Party.' That there be no mistaking her comment as mere figurative remark, she declares in the following paragraph:

Comments:

What republican party is Pegs referring to? There’s the democrat/commiecrat/Marxist party that controls everything, and then there’s the Uniparty who greatly help the commiecrats, that would be Pierre DeFecto and Miss Lindsey. The Republican Party?! There’s maybe 20 or so looking out for us…maybe. She obviously hates those ones that are because of blind willful hatred of one man. So I don’t know what Republican Party Miss Pegs is talking about, and if they really exist.

Is she referring to the Republican Party that sent numerous repeals of Obamacare to the floor for a vote knowing Obama would veto, but wouldn't send one to Trump, knowing he'd sign it? The McCain, Romney, and Kasich brand of Republicans? The ones we voted for, holding our noses, only because the Democrat alternative was slightly worse?

During the first four years of the Trump presidency, we heard little from Noonan except occasional hen cluckings. She is a biased fool and rarely writes anything worth reading. When Trump wins for the third time in 2024 it will not be with the happy full support of the GOP and we are okay with that. The usual shills like Graham and McConnell can GTH.

She wrote some of Reagan's speeches in the 80s, but it only took a few decades to see exactly who she is. . .a rino at the head of the class. Ever since President Trump's first Administration it's been easier and easier to see who all the wolves in sheep clothing are. The "Republican" Party is rife with uniparty, rino, traitors whose true friends are the demorats, chicoms, etc.,...

Peggy Noonan is just a sad old crone looking for relevance and acceptance but finding only a contrived leftist echo chamber for her blather that she knows is as fake as RINO cocktail parties and congressional investigations that produce nothing of value. It pays the bills and feeds her ego, but it's still fake. Real Conservatives see right through her. Without Trump, flawed and boorish as the man undoubted is, the Republican Party ceases to exist. Sad.

#22, It's even worse than that. I remember Rush talking about the time he met Noonan, early in his national syndication. She said, "Oh, you're the one all the truck drivers listen to." On Monday, David Zuckerman wrote a good piece about Peggy Noonan and her WSJ editorial concerning former President Donald Trump. Noonan argues that electing Donald Trump again would destroy the Republican party. Peggy may be right, and I hope that she is. Trump’s success in 2016 was, in large part, due to the way that he took the mechanisms of the Republican political machine and used them to secure victory. He ran a third-party-style campaign within the structure of the Republican party. The “party” as a corporate entity was against him, but grassroots Republicans in name and philosophy were all in for candidate Donald Trump.

The case, involving an investigation from New York Attorney General Letitia James into the supposed mismanagement of controversial news outlet VDare.com, has received zero media coverage so far, despite it being as crude, brutish, and nakedly political as James’ other lawfare campaigns (notably against former President Trump and the NRA).
