As a proud American who happens to be gay, I say it's time to end gay pride month. Last week the Los Angeles Dodgers came under intense criticism, including from a number of the team's players, for inviting a group of "queer and trans nuns" with a long history of anti-Catholic activities to its "10th annual LGBTQ+ Pride Night" on June 16th. This is just the latest controversial virtue signal on gay alphabet-soup identity politics, following close on the (high) heels of Bud Light's decision to promote a flamboyant transgender influencer on its cans and Target and Kohl's stores marketing transgender children's wear in observance of gay pride month.

The New York Times is out today with a long feature about the “concern” over Joe Biden’s age and conspicuously deteriorating abilities. The story is strangely written, as it seems to go out of its way to conceal the heart of the matter by including lukewarm appraisals of Biden’s awesome capacities (/sarc):

Credible allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election have resulted in profound misgivings among Americans. Many conservatives have become disillusioned with the Republican party, especially at the national level where the gap between rhetoric and results has grown enormously. For the entirety of his 2020 presidential campaign and the 28 months of his presidency, Joe Biden has been a sick man. During the campaign, he was so feeble that his political handlers kept him locked in the basement. His public events were infrequent and his rare media interviews were usually marked with embarrassing gaffes.
His problems have only gotten worse during his presidency. His feebleness was on display on Thursday when he tripped on stage and tumbled face first at the Air Force Academy’s commencement ceremony.
His aides had a challenging time helping him to his feet and Biden first sat back down on stage.
Megyn Kelly declared on Friday during her show that she will no longer use preferred pronouns. After years of going along with the charade because she didn’t “see the harm” in it, she’s now realized that preferred pronouns are a “gateway drug” to genital mutilation.
“I was an early proponent of using preferred pronouns as far back as the early 2000s of saying ‘she’ when I knew the truth was ‘he,'” she said. “It seemed harmless and I had no wish to cause offense. Trans people were tortured enough, it seemed to me, by nature of their dysphoria and society’s disdain for them in general. So I complied.

The “trans” lobby claims that genital mutilation of minors is necessary in order to prevent troubled teenagers from committing suicide. Is Arming Teachers Practical?

The most obvious response to school shootings is to allow teachers and other employees who are licensed to carry firearms to do so. Would-be mass murderers are drawn to schools largely because they are usually “gun-free zones,” which means the shooter’s gun will be the only one on the scene. But some have questioned whether many teachers would actually be willing to arm themselves, so as to make this a practical solution.
The Rand Corporation conducted a nationwide survey of nearly 1,000 teachers, which is reported on by Catrin Wigfall. Most teachers are liberals these days–no surprise, given the far-left orientation of universities’ education programs and the teachers’ unions.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams has suggested putting migrants in 'private residences' to deal with the influx of economic dependents seekers in the Big Apple.
