As governor, Ron has the luxury of a legislature that is not confrontational (or worse). While his initiatives are highly commendable, and his successes many, this dream team of governing is not found on the federal level. The Deep State would do to him whatever is needed to hobble any good he would attempt. The idea of his being the clean, new model is fantasy.

The Post should focus the article on those who put us into this 'punch-drunk stupor': that would be the Communist Dems and corrupt government officials (including judiciary) at the Federal, State, and Local (as in Alivn Bragg) levels. Trump has been the specific target of all this corruption and is still standing. None of us can begin to comprehend what he has endured. Trump is everything we all say we want to see from a Republican, but oh no....mean tweets so we must run to DeSantis? Not now, please.

So NY Post - you think that if Gov DeSantis does get elected President in 2024 - the Left will stop destroying this country and we can all go back to back slapping each other? He has had the luxury of a R controlled state legislature. Trump had to deal with then Speaker Raul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell - not exactly friends of We The People. I have said this before - you wait, if the Left perceives DeSantis as a real threat then they will drag out some female former sailor aka get her to lie - about how a young LT DeSantis sexually assaulted her at some drunken Navy SEAL soiree.

RDS has little experience fighting against the organized commiefascist federal government so far. They will use him until he is no longer useful and then bring out the hammer and tongs. Trump is already hardened by that process. It's time to fire the fundamental transformers and rebuild liberty.

Yes, let's let the left pick our candidates for us! Trump is too Trump so let's start all over with desantis! Brilliant, if you like changing the topic every time the argument gets to the real issues. The real issue is The Establishment's corruption of our institutions for their personal gain and to implement their personal ideologies. And The Establishment may have been bought by the Chinese government. DeSantis is the latest weapon to weaken the Trump MAGA agenda. Let's don't start all over again with a new guy who may prefer cooperation with the bad guys to confronting them. DeSantis doesn't have the armor.

Trump is favored bby many here on this site - but then, we are here on this site to read a spectrum of mostly political information. We read, see around us, and can apply the info we've absorbed. Now - thing about the average persons you work and interact with. Do they read multiple articles from a variety of sources? Or do they get 20 minutes of newsportsweather man-bites-dog stories on the car radio or an hour of msnbc after dinner? Or the younger generations who get news headline streams on their phone? The greater population has little to no idea about the machinations that go on in plain sight, and a good deal of them believe the nightly reports dutifully relaying Joe's message that all is well. We've lost already but are the still-alive mouse that the cat just toys with.

Seriously, I don't care. Yes, it would have been nice if it was on TV so it was easier to catch and not worry about the glitches. But it means nothing. Never voted for anyone because of their announcement. Biden had a prefab cut and paste campaign which was a pile of manure. I want to see Trump and Desantis hash out their likes and differences. I am open minded to both candidates. The others are just also rans. Let it play out. The enemy is Biden/dems and all their nonsense.

A good and thoughtful article. loyalty and gratitude to Trump ought not be blind. The winds have shifted since 2016 and 2020, and we need to honestly assess our options with the future in mind. If only one 76 year old man who is widely disliked (however unfairly) stands between us and national dissolution, then we might as well pack it in right now. And # 3 - you're right. The N.Y. We all know the White House, DoJ and our intelligence services acted to change the outcome of the 2016 election. Then acted to hobble a sitting President for four years. None of those people will ever be brought to justice. Though what they did is sedition. The ONLY measure of justice obtainable is that Trump gets the four years he earned. If you think it is "time to move on", then you are conceding the field to them. You are letting them win. And acknowledging that they, not you, determine who is acceptable to vote for. So go ahead. Support DeSantis. I hear the Bush family, and Governor Kemp like him.

He is an extremely popular governor of what has become a solidly conservative Republican state. He has an attractive wife and children. The state legislature is solidly in the hands of the Republicans, so he gets whatever he wants passed with no real opposition. He comes off as strong and a powerful conservative leader. Even the state media generally likes him. Of course, that is a description of George W. Bush back when he decided to run for the presidency. However, when he got to Washington DC, he quickly discovered that the Demon-Rats were going to oppose and stop everything he tried to do by any means necessary -- often with RINO Republi-Can'ts joining them to help keep him "in his place". Definitely, the MSM attacked him 24/7/365 for their Demon-Rat overlords. While I give him credit for his leadership to 9-11, the rest of his presidency was pretty bad, and he showed what a "milk toast" excuse for a leader he truly was. Sadly, I fear that DeSantis will have an equally "milk toast" run if he somehow manages to win the Republican nomination and wins the presidency. But don't forget, even GW Bush won every race in Texas easily. DeSantis probably wouldn't have won his first governor's race in Florida if it weren't for Trump stepping in and publicly supporting him. I do believe that DeSantis is a more solid conservative than GW Bush was. But I don't think he will have the cajónes that Trump has to deal with the disaster that Senile Joe bidet and the Demon-Rats have done to this country over the last 4 years. It's sad his ego overwhelmed his common sense, and he didn't wait until 2028 to run. Political suicide!!!

Dazzling Casey DeSantis took center stage at her husband Ron's first 2024 campaign rally in Iowa, and stepped in front of the microphone to tell the crowd why he should be in the White House. The Florida Governor invited his first lady alongside him after touting that the 'purpose of our schools is to educate kids, not to indoctrinate kids.' 'I can tell you, Ron DeSantis always stands up for what's right, he never backs down, he says what he's going to do and he gets it done', she said to cheers from the audience at the Eternity Church in Clive, Iowa.

Mike Pence plans to enter the GOP presidential nomination fray June 7 with a campaign video and a kickoff speech in Des Moines, Iowa, according to a person familiar with his launch schedule. The former vice president, a longtime advocate of the priorities of traditional conservatives on social and economic issues, will join the race at a time when his onetime boss, former President Donald Trump, claims a majority in most national polls and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is in a clear second place. Redefining himself to Republican voters, most of whom know him primarily as Trump's vice president, will be a challenge.

Former FBI Director James Comey said Wednesday on CNN’s “CNN This Morning” that the notion the FBI is a “leftist cabal out to get the Republicans” was crazy. On Fox News, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) said, “The Republican presidents have accepted the canard that the DOJ and FBI are, quote, ‘independent.’ They are not independent agencies. They are part of the executive branch. They answer to the elected president of the United States. So as president, you have a responsibility to be involved in holding those agencies accountable.”

A Target Corporation diversity executive demanded "White women" get to work to combat the supposed systemic racism in America, while adding the retail giant was making some internal decisions based on predictions of shifting demographics. "One of the hardest things in the world to be every day is Black," Kiera Fernandez, a Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer at Target, said in a video interview with Essence Magazine in January. Target has ramped up its DEI efforts, in particular after the death of George Floyd in 2020. Target established the Racial Equity Action and Change – which is led by Fernandez – to rapidly "accelerate" those efforts.

A Denver woman says she was just engaging in some "retail therapy" as she shopped at a Ross Dress for Less store on South Colorado Boulevard just before closing time earlier this month. But as she was checking out, she couldn't believe what happened. "It happened really fast. It was really loud and scary," said the shopper, who asked that her name be withheld as she feared retaliation. Three people entered the store, grabbed suitcases and bags from the store and began stuffing them with whatever they could get their hands on. The female shopper said the chaos went on

But despite hefty subsidies and future bans of gasoline-powered cars, Americans aren’t ready to jump on the EV bandwagon, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. For our most recent online public opinion poll of 1,412 drivers, taken from May 3-5, we asked a straightforward question of consumer intent: “How likely will you consider buying/leasing an electric vehicle for your next car?”
