The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were traveling along with Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, 66, in Manhattan after leaving the Ziegfeld Theater on Tuesday night when they were followed by around a dozen photographers[Snip]“I lived in Manhattan for 17 yrs & it is not possible to have a 2hr ‘car chase’ there,” Kelly tweeted in response to the Page Six story. “Too many street lights/stop signs, too much foot/car traffic & hundreds of places you could safely pull over to protect yourself.”[Snip]“Also if they really want to avoid the paparazzi perhaps the Duchess should stop using them so obviously when she wants to see herself in the paper.”

Markle is so desperate to be likened to Diana. She will do anything. And the new publicity team is working overtime to make it happen. Comment sections are flooded with favorable, fawning comments about her. Real comment sections despise her almost 100%. We know something is bad wrong with her but that Harry lets this stuff happen and goes along with it - beats me why he allows it.

What's this "Duke and Duchess of Sussex" pile of feces? IIRC they 'Resigned from being Royals' because 'it's too much work'. We need to tag these two with a new 'handle'. 'The D-List Grifters' comes to mind, or perhaps 'Harry and the Harpie'. Come on, L-Dotters! Many of you can do better than me! WHAT should we call them? Oh, and the 'near fatal car chase' sounds to me like more Feces. What are they trying to do, cash in on the drugged-up driver's stupidity that killed Harry's mom? Shameless, utterly shameless.

Not believing a word of this. MK is correct; car chases in NYC are next-to-impossible. And what's up with that too tight gold number Meghan is sporting? Perhaps she's trying to outshine Princess Catherine in the gown she wore to the Bond premiere. Dream on, Megs...it's never gonna happen.

They are visiting NYC/Manhattan so are most likely staying in a Manhattan hotel. Why didn't they just drive to their hotel and get out of the car? These drama queens will do anything to keep their names in the news. Surprised they did not drive into the Lincoln or or Holland Tunnel and stage a car crash (caused by being chased by paparazzi) in which they are miraculously uninjured.

Meghan dropped out of sight for, according to some sources, four months while Prince Harry’s book “Spare” was released and his involvement in that publicity; she surfaced just before the coronation of Prince Charles III and made headlines in doing so. Considering the fact that Meghan and Harry have retained a U. S. Public Relations team, it is not unreasonable to be skeptical about their activities in pursuit of making headlines and often timed to distract from or compete with headlines being made by the Royal Family. To even remotely suggest that this “near-fatal” event even approaches the pursuit of Princess Diana and, most especially, her fatal pursuit, is a stretch too far to the point of being disrespectful, immature and shameful. Casting this event as a security issue requires taking note that Prince Harry has been at odds with the British government about security and financing for his family since they relocated to California in 2020 to the point of legal recourse. The “sources” cited for this “near-catastrophic” event are typical of evasiveness and include: “The insider alleges – we hear - A rep for the Sussexes claimed to Page Six – Our source – the source.” At this point, the New York Police Department has not provided “immediate comment to describe or corroborate the royals’ statement about the incident.” According to an article in the Washington Post, the cab driver said he “wouldn’t call it a chase and he felt safe during the ride.” Further, he said the street was blocked by a garbage truck and that’s why they were stopped and it was then the photographers got pictures.

The "Worldwide Privacy Tour!" has slowed down a bit, so the Prince of Canada had to speed things up a bit. The alleged driving, conducted around their limo by other drivers, just sounded like a typical day driving in Houston or Dallas, e.g. driving on sidewalks, excessive high-speed driving, lane-changes, etc. Princling Harry flew in a Helo, as a Gunner, allegedly in combat, but he's too afraid to ride along in a limo where at any moment he could just say, "Stop this car!", get out, and proceed to kick some Paparazzi arse... but no, he's a Soy Boy now.

Markle really is a piece of work! She didn't make it as an actress; not many people had ever even heard of Suits until she started dating Harry. She was in a couple of Hallmark movies and was not good at that. She talked about being kind, etc. How kind was she to her own family and her first husband? How kind was she to the staff in the UK? She is nothing but a greedy social climbing b___h! Harry really messed up when he married her. She is evil!

Re #2 – how about “the Smolletts of Sussex”? Though, to be fair, perhaps even the equally imaginative Jussie Smollett would have taken a pass on attempting to sell this story. Just Meghan and Harry once more doing their patented thing -- playing the victims in another improbable scenario, this one plagiarized from the sad Diana saga. Glancing at comments posted to the “Daily Mail UK” articles about this “near-fatal” chase in New York City indicates compassionate and/or protective commentary for the couple which raises the question of whether or not there may have been a deliberate calculation of how well this story, if contrived, would play to Brits (or the Royal Family) not having any knowledge about congested New York city streets that would give credence to life-threatening speeds that may have been typical in pursuit of Princess Diana in England.
