Ron DeSantis rips Trump’s character,
chaotic leadership style

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has finally taken the gloves off and launched a blistering attack on his former mentor President Donald Trump. In an exclusive wide-ranging interview with me airing on Fox Nation’s “Piers Morgan Uncensored” on Thursday, he said “stay tuned” about his widely expected announcement that he’s running for president and declared: I have what it takes to be president and I can beat Biden. But it’s what he said about Trump that will ignite a firestorm in the Republican Party. For months, DeSantis has said nothing as Trump’s escalated his verbal attacks on him, branding his ex-protégé “Ron DeSanctimonious” and “Meatball Ron.” On Monday, Trump went nuts

Is there anybody in the Republican leadership that can get these two together to make peace? The party is stronger with these 2 combatants of the D'Rats than each other.

Ron DeSantis has come off as a "good guy". That is a huge part of his appeal. Donald Trump is a gruff, hardcore businessman, who says what is on his mind and destroys anyone who gets in his way. He means what he says, and says what he means. That is a huge part of his appeal. If DeSantis tries to play Trump's game, he will be destroyed. I hope DeSantis is smarter than that.

Interesting timing (Just before Trump’s indictment & right after DeSantis flippantly minimalizing it) for DeSantis to have finally had enough of PDT and give an interview, with Piers Morgan of all people, to “rip Trump’s character, chaotic leadership style”, & talk about THE Truth (Again - with Piers Morgan of all people). I truly hope those are correct who are saying this is Trump & DeSantis playing off one another for a beneficial purpose. It would be a pleasant surprise for them to work everything out publicly and suddenly decide to team up to MAGA, since that was a hope from the beginning. And - it would certainly be a surprise.

Everyone seems to forget, including the Governor of Florida, that there is a current Florida state law that prohibits the sitting second term governor from running for president. The purpose of the law is so the governor can focus all of his attention on the matters that concern the citizens of the state of Florida. It does not appear to me that Governor DeSantis is doing that. Just sayin'.

Read the article. The headline is misleading, as are Morgan's interpretations of what DeSantis was saying. DeSantis is entitled to criticize certain things Trump did (like empower Fauci), is he not? But having read the quotes, I would say DeSantis is being perfectly reasonable and not "ripping" Trump at all. And by the way, I am a Trump supporter who prefers Trump over DeSantis in 2024.

The Fauci remark is a cheap shot by DeSantis. Does he even remember the panic that Fauci created? This virus came out of the blue. There was nothing ever like it before and Trump was relying on the experts to give him advice. Looking back, of course we can see how that was not the best course of action. We should have had more input not less, but we never in a million years thought the medical profession could be politicized. Lesson learned. At the end of his term, it was clear that President Trump was losing confidence in Fauci but by then the media had declared him Saint Fauci. Let’s not play the silly game, I could have done it better. Well, then Ron why didn’t you do it better when you were losing and President Trump saved your political career. See how that works? Not very fair, is it? You are making very bad decisions when you could have had it all with just a little patience. For me, that tells me everything I need to know about your character.

I am disturbed that the top two contenders for the Republican presidential candidacy are attacking each other as opposed to sticking to attacking the democrats and the left. Either of these two are infinitely better choices for the Presidency than any democrat in view. I understand that this is how they perceive you play the game. I would prefer they stick to giving us reasons to vote for either one and attacking the real enemy. We weaken ourselves by this wrangling. Pointing fingers and making accusations just give the left ammo to attack us. Shut up about your potential opponents on the right.

How much is Michael Cohen’s testimony worth at this point? I wrote about how his former legal adviser Robert Costello told the grand jury considering the case against President Donald Trump that Cohen was a serial liar, “far from solid evidence,” and that Cohen had told him that he never told Trump about the payment to Stormy Daniels, the crux of the case against President Donald Trump. Now there’s more evidence that has newly surfaced that also throws a gut punch into the DA’s case. In a 2018 letter that Michael Cohen’s then-lawyer wrote to the Federal Election Commission, Cohen said that he “used his own personal funds

Florida Gov.
