The Minneapolis police chief is working to shape the department to best handle state and possible federal oversight. Chief Brian O’Hara feels adding an assistant chief and a chief of staff would benefit the Minneapolis Police Department(MPD) under a consent decree. The Blue Earth County Attorney’s Office has filed felony charges against Mohamed Adan Mohamed after he allegedly stole $2,150 worth of firearm magazines and made a threatening, anti-American post on social media. (snip) A special agent with Minnesota’s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) who was aware of the social media postings and the alleged theft reportedly told law enforcement officials that “there were strong indicators that Mohamed was preparing to conduct some sort of attack (Mass Casualty Event) in the next twenty-four hours.”
Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison raked in $10,000 in campaign donations shortly after meeting with individuals linked to a nonprofit that stole $250 million from a federal program meant to feed hungry children during the pandemic. (snip) The Center for the American Experiment identified Ikram Mohamed, who is expected to stand trial in the case in December, as one of the attendees of the meeting with Ellison.
Salim Said, who was convicted of 21 counts related to the case last month, is also heard in the recording, along with others linked to Feeding Our Future who have not been accused of wrongdoing, according to the conservative nonprofit.

Many pro-Israel people I know, both Jewish and non-Jewish, are deeply worried about Trump’s current Middle East positions. He’s marginalizing Israel in negotiations with Saudi Arabia, accepting on the government’s behalf a luxury plane from double-dealing Qatar, and handing money to the goons in Syria. At the same time, he’s seemingly freezing out Israel, to the great consternation of Israel and its supporters.
So, what gives? Having read Charles Lipson’s superb analysis of the problems in dealing with an almost nuclear Iran, and how Biden created this monster, I suspect that “what gives” may be Trump trying an out-of-the-box approach to isolating Iran long enough for his economic policies

On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at approximately 9:08 pm, members of the Metropolitan Police Department's (MPD) First District were dispatched to investigate a shooting at the intersection of 3rd and F Streets, Northwest, Washington D.C. Upon the officers arriving at the scene, the officers observed Decedent-1 and Decedent-2 suffering from gunshot wounds.
The affidavit identifies Decedent-1 as Sarah Milgrim and Decedent-2 as Yaron Lischinsky.
Harmeet Dhillon, who is now the United States Assistant Attorney General under Trump, and runs the civil rights division, just did an interview with Tucker Carlson that is at times fascinating and outrageous.
Dhillon tells Carlson that the civil rights division of DOJ is famously liberal and that when she made it clear that they were going to adjust the division to align with the Trump presidency, that hundreds of lawyers quit. The ones who stuck around, actually held ‘crying sessions’ to express their unhappiness over the new reality.
It’s like they are a bunch of liberal college students who created a safe space. Just pathetic.
