Ramaswamy For President? Did We Hear That Right?

Tuesday night, Tucker Carlson’s audience witnessed one of those hilariously spontaneous moments only possible on live TV. Chris Miller, former acting Defense secretary, incredulously half-asked his host, “Vivek (Ramaswamy) just announced that he’s going to run for president? Did I hear that right in the last segment?” Assured he had indeed perceived correctly, Miller continued, “That’s just amazing. So I’m literally second fiddle.” Miller can be excused for uncertainty that he had captured the 37-year-old activist-investor-author’s declaration. There are certain experience credentials that have to be hard won on the way up. His credentials are thinner than poor Petey’s, tho his ideas have merit.

I take issue with the author's statement "We do not elect talkers, we elect leaders". Um, no, we elect talkers. Let's see, who's been a leader? Biden, no, Trump, maybe, but only led slightly more than half the country. Obama, give me a break. Bush, neither a talker nor a leader. Clinton. More a talker but slightly a leader. First Bush, I don't know what that was about. Which brings us to Reagan, both a leader and a talker. A great leader is also a great talker. Is this vivak guy it, I don't think so, but some day we need to elect a person with values. I like what the guy says. Give him time.

I wouldn't disqualify someone based on their name (or gender, race, etc.). But I want to see all the bona fides. Just like the Project Veritas board was infiltrated by those who wanted to destroy it from the inside, I have a feeling the left has similar plans for our country, as well. Lots of pretenders out there.

I do remember when Trump announced the first time, everyone laughed and said he didn't stand a chance. Then people started to listen to what he had to say.

Trump had great domestic policies and embraced foreign affairs competently. He also made mistakes, especially in his hiring choices. I remember Trump from way back and he was never a staunch conservative until he decided to become one to run for President. I like Ramaswamy but I’m in wait and see mode right now. Agree he needs to stop with the 90 mile an hour brain dump. It’s annoying.

Congress To Probe COVID Vaccines — And

One of the key functions of Congress is to oversee how our government’s many branches do their jobs. It’s a central part of holding those in power accountable. That’s why it’s good news that the new Republican House has decided to investigate the COVID-19 vaccines, which turned out to be deadlier, and far less effective, than promised. This is not one of the “gotcha” committees, such as the ones run by the Democrats during the last session of Congress that amounted to little more than political sideshows with no real serious intent of reform or improving government. Instead,

Shortly after a Biden administration official boasted about how the federal government might ban gas stoves for being “unsafe,” the White House reassured the public that no such ban was in the works. We warned readers at the time not to believe such reassurances because “once this sort of train starts moving there is often no stopping it.” That was in early January. It took less than a month for the Biden administration to prove us right. Earlier this month, the Department of Energy released a proposed rule that, if implemented, would essentially regulate gas stoves out of existence.

This is the last of our series about the worship of false idols and how these secular religions are eroding the fabric of our society. (The previous columns appeared here, here, and here.) Climate obsession, the concept of ensuring equal outcomes as opposed to equal opportunity, and the unmooring of gender from biology have profound implications, but these generally do not have as pervasive effects as the imaginary “right not to be offended” and its progeny, self-censorship. Claiming to be offended has become a weapon to exert control over others that is neither justified nor deserved. It is, itself, offensive, to say nothing of annoying. For instance,

President Joe Biden made a “surprise” visit to Ukraine Monday. It doesn’t take a cynic to wonder how many tales from the trip he’ll come up with to pad his already bursting catalog of self-aggrandizing lies, which the media has mostly ignored for decades. We can imagine Biden in the coming months telling audiences that “we were shot down twice” as the Air Force Special Air Mission jet approached the Rzeszow airport in Poland near the Ukraine border, and then while visiting the front, the Ukrainian forces “let me shoot some of their artillery,” which was particularly rewarding because “I

Recent revelations that President Joe Biden kept classified government documents at his two namesake think tanks, his Delaware home and even his garage have largely been treated with a yawn by big media. But average Americans are paying attention and worry that Biden's careless stewardship of classified documents endangers U.S. national security, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. In our national online I&I/TIPP Poll of 1,358 adults, taken from Feb. 1-3, we asked Americans two questions, the first being: "How closely are you following the story about classified documents from Joe Biden's time as Vice President found at his former office and home?" As it turns out, Americans are paying pretty close attention

While spending the country into ruin, President Joe Biden likes to portray himself as a fiscal conservative who has cut the deficit in half in the past two years. But a new report from the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office shows just how big a lie this is — a 5 1/2 trillion dollar lie, to be exact. During his State of the Union speech last week, Biden not only claimed that “my administration has cut the deficit by more than $1.7 trillion — the largest deficit reduction in American history,” he also claimed that he’s a miser compared to Donald Trump. “Under

With a classified document scandal encircling him like a vulture waiting on a wounded animal to succumb to its injuries, Joe Biden’s chances to be a presidential candidate next year are closing in on nil. So who will be the Democrats’ flagship candidate? The smart money says it will be the foolish Gavin Newsom. The California governor wouldn’t be the only candidate, of course. A lineup for the primaries is likely to include, at the least, current vice president and former U.S. senator from California Kamala Harris, as well as previous candidates Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, and U.S. Sens. Almost exactly two years ago today, the New York Times ran an article headlined: “Biden and Fed Leave 1970s Inflation Fears Behind.” That story has not aged well. Neither have the troika of ideologues and imbeciles behind the rebirth of ‘70s-era inflation. On Tuesday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that prices climbed 0.5% in January, which is up from December’s 0.1% hike. Prices were up 6.4% over the year before, which is higher than economists had been predicting and comes amid warnings that inflationary pressures are building again. This all comes one week after President Biden reassured the nation that “here at home, inflation is coming down.”

Hot, cold, wet, dry, sunny, clear, snow, no snow – it doesn’t matter, it’s caused by global warming, the climate alarmists tell us over and again. Their desperation is palpable, the cords that keep them tethered to reality fraying more than ever, their charade coming apart. For more than 30 years, the crisis peddlers have carried the narrative that man’s carbon dioxide emissions are creating an existential threat. They’ve cajoled, bullied, lied, deceived, screeched and burned an immense volume of fossil fuels to get their hard-left agenda codified and executive ordered, and they have some successes to refer to. But their efforts have been, and always will be, useless.

No question about it: Americans are hurting from the surging inflation that began early in President Joe Biden’s first term and that has persisted ever since. Indeed, as the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows, a large majority of Americans now say the sharp rise in inflation has caused them financial hardship. With inflation running at an average annual rate of 8% last year and 4.7% the year before, Americans are feeling the pinch. In this month’s online I&I/TIPP Poll, taken Feb. 1-3 from 1,358 adults across the nation, we asked the following question: “How much of a hardship has inflation caused you and your family over the past two years?”

At about the mid-point of President Joe Biden’s State of the Union speech, he went off script. If you missed the importance of it, so did we, until we read about it on PJ Media. Because it confirms exactly what we’ve been saying was the real cause of high gas prices – namely, Biden’s war on energy. According to the official transcript of the speech, Biden was supposed to say: You may have noticed that Big Oil just reported record profits. Why the 2020 Election was Unverifiable 34 replies

Joe Biden acquired his job through a legal process. However, he did not earn enough verifiable votes to justify the certifications in six key swing states. This issue is addressed in my new book, but here is some of my reasoning. I have limited myself to one example of unverifiable votes for each of those swing states. Arizona At an Arizona Senate Committee hearing on January 24, 2022, we learned that precisely 95 percent of Maricopa County overseas military members (and their families) voted for Joe Biden. That is an amazing (as in phony) percentage, given that the overall county-wide vote was fairly even between Biden and Trump (51 to 49%).

The proposal asks the House and Senate Sergeant at Arms and the U.S. Capitol Police to take "such actions as may be necessary" to keep Trump from entering the halls of Congress forever.

The U.S. is expected to quadruple the number of U.S. forces deployed to Taiwan in the coming months as tensions with Beijing continue to simmer. The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday that the Pentagon plans to deploy between 100 and 200 troops to the self-ruled island, up from around 30 a year ago.  Servicemembers from the Marines and the special forces have been sent to Taiwan in the past and the number has fluctuated over the years. However, this uptick would mark the biggest increase of American troops on the ground in Taiwan in decades.

But NPR announces the layoff of 100 people, and it is a “major loss.” Um… okay. National Public Radio will reduce its workforce by 10%, which means the termination of around 100 people. Positions that are currently vacant will be eliminated. The outlet reported that CEO John Lansing is attributing the move to a lack of advertising dollars, specifically in terms of its podcasts. NPR has an annual budget of $300 million and its revenues could be short $30 million to $32 million.
