DeSantis, Inc. Underestimates Donald Trump

The 2024 Republican presidential primary has hardly begun, but a consensus has already formed in conservative media that Donald Trump is toxic and unelectable. This narrative, commonplace but seldom challenged, is being pushed aggressively by pundits who are obviously partial to Florida governor Ron DeSantis. Many of these personalities insist that Trump has an obligation to step aside, and they pretend that Trump is attacking DeSantis unprovoked, despite the governor’s obvious intentions to run. The DeSantis hype is not limited to media personalities

The nomination is Trump's if he wants it - regardless of the Koch brothers, Deep Staters, or the Republican establishment. Trump is still popular. Whether he's electable is a separate issue and will be determined not be polls but by voters in '24.

Sadly #1, I don't think you meant to make a joke. But if the actual voters really mattered, Donald Trump would be halfway through his second term in office as we speak, and this nation would be in about 1,000 times better shape. As 2020 and 2022 proved, it's not the legal votes, but the illegal election theft, that matters. Unless the Republicans are finally willing and able to get down in the mud and fight the Demon-Rats even harder and dirtier in 2024 and beyond, I'm not sure that legal voters will ever win an election again...

I agree with you poster 3#. The sun has set on legal voting in this country, and won't rise again until Republicans come to grips with the massive voter fraud. I don't think pubbies have the wherewithal to achieve anything in this area, a good part of which stems from many who still see nothing wrong with our elections.

What worked in 2016 will not work in 2024. He needs to make his case in a way that gets through to people who might vote for him. Kelly Ann Conway can only do so much.

The nation is lost. Nothing and no one can save it. The rot, corruption, and deceit are too deep for a simple fix that could happen in just four years. The operators at the top don't WANT to fix this, they're rolling in hog heaven. There are flaws in Humanity which dictate our fall. We are riding the historical wave that every single empire has ridden. Power, greed, avarice, thievery, and murder are only some of the flaws. Hunker down kids, the ride is gonna get rough.

Ron DeSantis is a popular conservative governor of what has become a solidly Republican state. He has a strong Republican majority in the state legislature that passes any legislation that he wants. He says all the right conservative things, and appears to be very strong because of it. The media in his state tends to be supportive of him. If that sounds familiar, that was the exact description of George W. Bush not that many years ago. But when he got elected president and moved to the DC sewer, he quickly learned that he had to deal with an obstinate and confrontational Congress (even the Republicans), and a media that basically portrayed him as only slightly better than Hitler. And he quickly folded like a wet noodle!!! We all remember the disaster of his administration because of his weakness and the reality of the DC sewer system!!!!! While I believe that DeSantis is both a stronger conservative, and has a stronger spine, than Bush ever did, he has said a few too many "politician" things along the way to make me fear for his presidential administration if he gets there before he is actually ready. That is why, as of today, I plan to fully support him in 2028 and beyond. But I firmly believe that Donald Trump is the only person strong enough to undo the horrible damage inflicted on this republic by 4 years of Senile Joe bidet and his unelected communist puppet masters. He 100% has my vote, support, and financial donations, for the 2024 primary and general election!!!!

The author has raised some serious questions regarding DeSantis. I don’t think it’s going to be the sure thing that DeSantis and his supporters want us to believe that it will be. The most troubling for me are his donors and his nasally sounding voice. I still like him, but I am withholding my support. In my opinion this is still Trump’s party.

Trump has a proven record and no sane, reasonable person can argue that his policies weren’t highly effective. The hatred for him has everything to do with his anti-globalist populism. They fear him far more than they hate him. DeSantis has been a great Governor for Florida but navigating State politics is not the same as running the Executive branch of the Federal Government. Can he talk about foreign affairs? The military? Monetary strategy? Let’s see what he’s got. Trump can be a formidable adversary.

A recent epidemic of airline near misses deserves both attention and reflection. In mid-December, a San Francisco-bound United Airlines Boeing 777-200 airliner, just a little over a minute after taking off from Maui, Hawaii, suddenly dived. It lost more than half its altitude and came within 800 feet of crashing into the Pacific Ocean before pulling up. About a month later, an American Airlines jet crossed the runway at New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport just as a Delta Air Lines plane was accelerating for takeoff. The two aircraft nearly collided.

A report is circulating that Biden expressly ordered U.S. Navy divers to blow up the Nord Stream pipelines through which Russian natural gas flowed to Europe. If that’s true, Biden committed an act of war. I have a proposal, though, to keep Putin from launching an ICBM in our direction. The allegation comes from Seymour Hersh, 85, the journalist the highlight of whose long career Wikipedia describes. In 1969, Hersh broke the story of the My Lai massacre that had happened the year before. Since then, Hersh has alleged that U.S. intelligence tricked the Soviets into shooting down Korean Air Flight 007 in 1983;

In celebrating Black history month this year, I thought it would be fitting to finally recognize a triumph of African American literature that has, ironically, been falsely accused of racism. That achievement is embodied in a 1946 Walt Disney movie entitled Song of the South. I assume many of you have not seen the film because Disney has succumbed to the accusations of racism by refusing to re-release it in any form. Nonetheless, you may at least recognize the film’s buoyant Academy Award winning song, “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah” which arguably forms the musical backbone of the movie.

The Chinese spy balloon circus is over, but now it’s question time for the Biden administration who let this espionage device from Beijing float around for days. We finally downed the balloon over the Atlantic Ocean near the Carolinas over the weekend. But how could this have happened? It wasn’t traveling at supersonic speeds, and our tracking devices could have stopped it when it was hovering near Alaska. There was time to shoot down this balloon before it breached US airspace. We know about the Pentagon's concerns about falling debris killing American citizens.

He was ensconced behind that golden EIB microphone; a master of ideas and argument. From his lofty height, he engaged with every thorny problem with an equanimity that drew a placid sagacity from an ocean of experience, and confidence. After all, Rush was “documented almost always right 99.7% of the time.” He was a compass that always pointed the precise bearing to truth. He was the constitutionalists’ loadstar.

America's Civil War, which raged from 1861 to 1865, was by far the bloodiest conflict in our history. Original estimates put the death toll at about 620,000, including some 360,000 Union and 260,000 Confederate dead. More recent estimates of the carnage are even higher: 750,000 to 850,000. The Battle of Antietam on Sept. 17, 1862, at Sharpsburg, Maryland, still ranks as the bloodiest day in U.S. history, with nearly 23,000 casualties on both sides, including 3,675 killed in action. How does a country possibly recover from a calamity so huge?

Why the 2020 Election was Unverifiable 34 replies

Joe Biden acquired his job through a legal process. However, he did not earn enough verifiable votes to justify the certifications in six key swing states. This issue is addressed in my new book, but here is some of my reasoning. I have limited myself to one example of unverifiable votes for each of those swing states. Arizona At an Arizona Senate Committee hearing on January 24, 2022, we learned that precisely 95 percent of Maricopa County overseas military members (and their families) voted for Joe Biden. That is an amazing (as in phony) percentage, given that the overall county-wide vote was fairly even between Biden and Trump (51 to 49%).
