Anarchy, American-Style

Original Article

Posted By: DW626, 1/30/2023 6:30:47 AM

The 1960s revolution was both anarchic and nihilist. But it was waged against—not from—the establishment. Hippies and the Left either attacked institutions or, in Timothy Leary fashion, chose to “turn on, tune in, drop out” from them. The current revolution is much different—and far more dangerous—for at least three reasons. The current Left has no intention of “dropping out.” Why would it? It now controls the very institutions of America that it once mocked and attacked—corporate boardrooms, Wall Street, state and local prosecuting attorneys, most big-city governments, the media, the Pentagon, network and most of cable news, professional sports, Hollywood, music, television, K-12 education, and academia.

Just remember anarchy and chaos are tactical tools designed to manufacture a thirst for order which will be offered in return for surrendering your freedom. The end game is about total control, not no control.

Big Tech was granted immunity by Section 230's shield and sword - it gives them the gold while we get the shaft. Congress can fix this, but they won't. They have written thirty pieces of legislation to repeal or replace Section 230 but none go anywhere. All hat - no cattle. I hired the best legal and constitutional scholars to write the "Online Freedom Act" Remember "Freedom is easy - until it isn't"

To VDH: I love ya, man, your analysis is spot on. The burning question those of us who agree with you is, what should we do about it? Revolution seems too drastic. We are up against a government that would love to use its power against any opposition. Joe says it would take military air power to do that which seems like a pretty clear threat if you ask me. Elections? We experienced, once again, election shenanigans by democrats in 2022, confirming the ballot box has become ineffective. Sure we may be able to voice our concerns right now, but we are moving away from even that. Our backs are against the wall and apparently there is no Cavalry riding to the rescue. Help us out here. You articulate the problems we face brilliantly. However, we need viable solutions that won’t leave massive numbers of us dead or a solution that will assure us that elections are secure and fair. I don’t see either of those things in our future so I respectfully and sincerely ask, where do we go from here?

Well said! In the past the way a law abiding citizen dealt with this problem was with the ballot, now even that ability has been stolen. What to do, I have no idea other than hope, or pray if that is your way, that enough people are left in DC to fight the evil.

VDH gets it and once again attempts to alert people to the harshness of current reality. We all know that there is only one way to regain control and reestablish sanity to our world yet we are still reluctant to break out our rifles along with the nooses and the guillotines. There is no law and no government, only leftist indoctrination and there is only one way to remove it like the disease that it is. I hesitate to use the word "woke" or any of its tenses due to its hijacking by the left but we need to wake the hell up and soon.

IMO, Mr. FJB is Jonesing for a world war because that is a great money-maker for a few. War does for some what running for president and losing does for others. You get a fat bank roll that you do not have to account for. Like Sgt. Schultz said in an episode of Hogan's Heroes. ''This is my favorite war!'' To a Democrat any war is favored because personally, they have nothing to lose but the YOUTH of the land

TEST I'm putting on my new Easter Tin-Foil hat here but I see some inconstistancies. 1 The standard line is that it wasn’t dangerous, but when they found the 1000 lb payload it contained explosives. 2 It was a Chinese destructive bomb, so why didn’t the Chinks USE it to keep it from being found? And if you didn’t notice them, why do we have such a large defense budget? 4 They didn’t want to down it over populated areas. Alaska? Montana? Wyoming? Blaming for the Chinese Spy Balloon Incursion?

The Chinese spy balloon circus is over, but now it’s question time for the Biden administration who let this espionage device from Beijing float around for days. We finally downed the balloon over the Atlantic Ocean near the Carolinas over the weekend. But how could this have happened? It wasn’t traveling at supersonic speeds, and our tracking devices could have stopped it when it was hovering near Alaska. There was time to shoot down this balloon before it breached US airspace. We know about the Pentagon's concerns about falling debris killing American citizens.

America's Civil War, which raged from 1861 to 1865, was by far the bloodiest conflict in our history. Original estimates put the death toll at about 620,000, including some 360,000 Union and 260,000 Confederate dead. More recent estimates of the carnage are even higher: 750,000 to 850,000. The Battle of Antietam on Sept. 17, 1862, at Sharpsburg, Maryland, still ranks as the bloodiest day in U.S. history, with nearly 23,000 casualties on both sides, including 3,675 killed in action. How does a country possibly recover from a calamity so huge?

Professors often complain about the current crop of students being less intellectually talented than when they began their careers decades back. Such griping is, of course, easy to dismiss -- it has occurred for millennia. Unfortunately, this time around the grumbling may be true and not the usual nostalgia for “the good old days.” The anecdotal evidence from textbook reading levels, shortened college syllabi, scrapbook-like research assignments, proliferating college remedial classes, grade inflation, and the popularity of “gut” college majors such as Gender Studies, is indisputable.

If you are trying to make sense of how our nation has become so toxic, a good starting point is the Supreme Court’s 1964 decision in New York Times v. Sullivan. That case radically altered existing law so that, for the first time in our history, it was impossible for any “public figure” to bring a successful defamation suit. There can be no better example of the horrid effect of that decision than a recent race-based defamation against Governor Ron DeSantis. Recently, the DeSantis administration sent a letter to the College Board informing it that the State of Florida would not allow a proposed AP African-American Studies curriculum

During that appearance, Buttigieg claimed that Joe Biden is just so wildly successful as president that his accomplishments cannot be easily distilled — hence Biden’s low approval ratings. Yes, Mayor Pete actually said Biden is extremely unpopular because he’s too good at his job. Buttigieg rambled out a justification of the Biden administration allowing an apparent Chinese spy balloon to cross the U.S. before shooting it down over the ocean (where, quite conveniently, no one can pick up tell-tale debris as enlightening evidence).
