An Arizona rancher has been charged with first-degree murder and had his bail set at a whopping $1million for fatally shooting a Mexican citizen on his property. George Alan Kelly, 73, was arrested following the January 30 fatal shooting of Gabriel Cuen-Butimea, 48, on his ranch in Kino Springs, just a mile and a half north of the US-Mexico border. Authorities are still investigating the fatal shooting, with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's chief deputy saying it does not appear that Kelly knew Cuen-Butimea ahead of the shooting. But a friend of Kelly's told KOLD he has had issues with people on his property in the past,

Comments:

This should be covered under Arizona's Castle Doctrine. Why is he in jail at all???

If he was protecting his family and his property and he was acting under Arizona law then he should at least get the same treatment as these murderers everywhere else and get out of jail days later with no cash bail! The illegals in many cases do present the property owners with life threatening circumstances, how many homeowners have suffered attacks and breakins by these border crossers. Biden shares a heavy dose of blame for all this, but then of course he says the border is secure...NOT. People have to protect themselves and the illegals are taking the chance.

All of the above are correct. The next lesson is: it’s a ranch. Have a vented steel barrel, five gallons of diesel, and use the backhoe to pre-dig some holes. Oh and some rid-ex and a lot of water. Some hi-acid fertilizer.

Isn't re-entering the United States without permission after being have been previously deported a felony that carries prison time? Had our laws been enforced, the serial trespasser would have been in prison, with each of his violations resulting in sentences increasing his time behind bars every time he reoffended/reentered. Instead, an elderly American citizen is locked up for trying to protect himself and his wife from a much younger man that our own government repeatedly allowed to run free. We have too many politicians and bureaucrats eager to assume the worst about our own citizens.

Let’s hope this judge doesn’t intend to make an example of Mr. Allen like what has happened to the J6. Also, as far as intent, who knows what is in the heart of a man approaching your home when you live in such a dangerous location? Did the judge think the trespasser just wanted to slip by his home? Seems to me the guy who was shot would have found a safer path around the Allen’s home which was a pretty substantial property from the picture in the article. Looks like he chose to go directly toward the home and was not that far away from it when he was shot. No American citizen should ever have to fear an invasion of their home and property by an illegal alien. Biden has purposely failed to secure the border because of his own selfish political interests. If impeachment was ever warranted it is because of the failures of this this partisan hack. He is a one man wrecking ball.

The headline implies that the rancher shot a corpse. While there may be some misdemeanor charge relating to desecration of the dead, I doubt that it includes jail time. Yeah, yeah I know I'm parsing words here ... :-) Castle Doctrine probably does not protect the rancher if he hunted the illegal down and then plugged him. IMHO however this type of action is the only solution to this invasion. Hopefully this rancher is the beginning of the people's response.

I cooked a spatchcock Thanksgiving Turkey. The hogs(my family) ate all the meat with abandon and thus it was gone and untraceable in a couple of days. I used the left over bones and other junk pieces to make broth. I slowly simmered it for 24 hours.(mu understanding is some people add and acid or a base to speed up this process.) The bones were soft and mushy. The cartilage had vanished and was now gelatin. I continued simmering for another day. The bones were just a residue of powder. The meat was gone. Finally a big pot of broth gelatin and but a mere remaining residue of nearly powdered bone meal was all that was left of the whole turkey. I froze it and slowly used up the broth making rice and other dishes over the next month. I could have taken the remaining bone powder and tossed it out of the car a teaspoon at a time onto the interstate. And boiled the broth down to a thick residue and similarly paved the interstate from here to Detroit.

To poster #22---elections have consequences!!!!!!! Unfortunately, they have consequences for the good guys as well as the Hobbs voters. I have yet to understand, for example, with Biden being so obviously what he is and the Democrats and their camouflaged spending bills the same, what happened to the Red Wave. Some think it was abortion, but I personally think it was a lot of knee jerk Democrats who paid no attention to what is happening and just voted as always. And my feelings for them is I hope they suffer the consequences!!!!!! I really and truly do. (I have a lot of friends who fit in this category, by the way: well educated folks who automatically pull that lever for the Democrat, no matter who. They would be shocked to really find out what they actually voted for-=--I can't tell them because they simply don't believe a conservative Republican....and are too damned lazy to find out for themselves.)

The Governmental Agencies sworn by oaths to guard our borders are prevented from even doing their duties of Border protection! Self-defense and self-defense of one's own property is now not recognized but is instead reversed in favor of the ILLEGAL invaders?! What is wrong with this picture when this ILLEGAL ALIEN INVASION is not even acknowledged and stopped at the border by this Biden Administration which prevents the law from being enforced at the border as it has previous been historically?! Americans can no longer even protect themselves & their own property when law enforcement itself is forced by Biden to allow incidents like this? When this dem Administration ignores Legislated Immigration Law, it is to blame for these resulting tragedies.

It’s been a day of the left and their fellow travelers throwing tantrums over Tucker Carlson’s coverage of the Jan. 6 video footage. Missouri started this battle back in 2021 when Governor Mike Parsons signed the “Second Amendment Preservation Act” (SAPA) into law. The Act’s language is quite plain, allowing local law enforcement to refuse to cooperate with any federal law enforcement action that seeks to confiscate the guns of its citizens. The law also penalizes any local LE agencies who refuse to adhere to the law. Newton County, Missouri, was the first to kick things off, and other Missouri counties followed suit. Biden’s Department of Justice, which hasn’t found a civil liberties infringement it hasn’t liked, decided it needed to oppose the State of Missouri, claiming it violated the Supremacy Clause.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) released 44,000 hours of previously unseen footage of the Capitol riot to Tucker Carlson, triggering the left, which has so carefully crafted a bogus narrative that the riot was an insurrection, or, as Biden likes to claim, “the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.” Now that we’re starting to see footage that the anti-Trump J6 committee didn’t want us to see, that narrative is falling apart — and the answer to that, apparently, is censorship. On Tuesday, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) literally called for Fox News CEO Rupert Murdoch to stop Tucker Carlson from releasing the politically inconvenient footage.

The death of a former White House staffer who served in both the Clinton and the Obama administrations has been baselessly tied to Hillary Clinton, reviving a long-running conspiracy theory that claims without evidence the Clintons were behind the deaths of several political opponents during their political careers, Newsweek Misinformation Watch found. (Snip) During the Clinton presidency, Hyde was a White House special assistant and she served as a senior adviser at the State Department in the Obama administration. In 2009, the most divisive and societally destructive president in American history, Barack Obama, came into office determined to reverse this trend by manipulating the Black citizenry into abandoning racial harmony by utilizing
