Former President Donald Trump defiantly slapped down the January 6 House select committee's decision to make criminal referrals to the Department of Justice, following Monday's never-before-seen damning testimony from ex-aide Hope Hicks.   'These folks don't get it that when they come after me, people who love freedom rally around me. It strengthens me. What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger,' Trump said Monday evening on Truth Social, labeling the post in all caps: 'STATEMENT ON JAN 6 COMMITTEE REFERRAL.' Earlier Monday, the Democrat-led January 6 House select committee unanimously decided to refer Trump to the Justice Department on four criminal charges.

Except the Democrats did all the same and worse. I was at the 2016 inauguration and there were molotov cocktails being thrown and threats to stop the Inauguration by force. Do they think we forgot? Hillary Clinton did not support the peaceful transfer of power. The Obama administration withheld all help to the Trump transition office. They also stirred up the intelligence agencies to kneecap him and wire meetings with him when he was brand new. Do they think these words mean only Trump? He is a stern stern constitutionalist compared to Comey, Clinton, the rest of top FBI, and the liars strewn everywhere who thought it was up to them, not the citizens'elected presient, to decide what wars we fight and what our foreign policy is. Every word of these accusations is a boomerang returning on a dozen or a hundred Democrats. Do they think we forgot?

This article is poorly written and the headline is totally misleading. The first part of the article implies that Hicks talked directly with President Trump in real time on Jan 6 and that DJT made this off the hand statement. When you continue reading through the entire article, however, you find that Hicks talked only with DJT’s lawyer on Jan 6, not to DJT, and that the conversation about his legacy occurred much earlier, not on Jan 6. This is another example of the sorry fact that we no longer have journalists, only propagandists.

#4, Your condescension is showing. We can count on you in your infinite wisdom to be one of the first anti-Trump comments that are posted. Why don’t you turn your jaundiced eye to the real perpetrators in this little Kabuki Theater? The potential for exposing democrat perfidy is unparalleled. Every alphabet agency was intent upon PDT’s destruction. Yet, your focus is on the victim of democrat surveillance, multiple false accusations, unconstitutional search and seizure, and a kangaroo court disguised as a fact finding committee. Where is the legal precedence for not allowing the accused to have a lawyer present or produce defense witnesses? This farce picked up where the multiple impeachment hearings left off. This committee has been a witch hunt from the beginning. President Trump has been falsely accused and evidence of his innocence has been denied. The part that Nancy Pelosi played in the fiasco is pivotal to understand the motivation. Why was she not brought before this sham of a committee to explain why she did not secure the Capitol Building which she was tasked to do. She also needs to explain why her Capitol Police actually are on video opening the doors and escorting people inside the building. Let’s not forget about the murder of two unarmed women on that day, one outside the building who was beaten to death by a Policewoman and the other inside the building shot by a Capitol policeman with no provocation and without a verbal warning. Let’s not forget who the real villains are, and they are not President Trump or the people inside the Capitol who are being treated like political prisoners inside any communist country. Whether you like or hate President Trump, truth is truth and this committee is committing an egregious act just because they can. Let’s have a fair investigation and for once and for all settle the question of exactly who was behind January 6th. Release the 14,000 hours of videotape. Let’s see all the evidence and I believe we will find that Pelosi and her thugs in the FBI are the ring leaders of this false flag.

Since Trump never told his supporters to riot, the fact that he refused to tell them not to riot is not a crime. He also did not tell them not to jaywalk. That being said, given that millions of Americans cannot pay their bills, no one cares what this committee says or does.

You must remember that after Trump was elected and showed up in DC that he was essentially a one man “outsider” show, who had no such support as the leftist Democrats have through their vast political machine. Trump also found himself in a position with an “outsider” political agenda that neither flank of the DC political “UniParty” had much use for. Trump then relied on the wimpy Republican and RINO flank of the DC “UniParty” to give him personnel recommendations to staff his administration. History shows how a lot of those Trump political appointees who themselves were political “insiders” treasonously worked out!

The Democrat-controlled House Ways and Means Committee voted on Tuesday evening to release Donald Trump's tax returns. It ends a nearly four year long fight between liberal lawmakers and the former president, who fought tooth-and-nail to shield his financial statements from public view.  Debate lasted for more than three hours behind closed doors before a final vote of 24 to 16. All Democrats voted in favor of the action while all Republicans on the panel voted against. It's not immediately clear when the documents will be released.

Senate Republicans are gearing up to punch their voters in the mouth again, this time by passing a massive omnibus bill that gives the farm away to Democrats for essentially nothing in return. The reasoning behind the push is a bit of a mystery. Are we really to believe that these Republicans fear a short government shutdown so much that they are willing to concede the power of the purse their party fought so hard to win in November’s election? Color me skeptical on that front. On the contrary, as a nice change of pace, I think this move isn’t about cowardice but is about business as usual.

While it may be a stretch to say the criminal referrals were the panel’s objective all along, it was certainly predictable that the nine Trump-hating members would eventually vote to refer Trump to the Department of Justice for prosecution, which is precisely what they did this week on four trumped-up charges: inciting insurrection, conspiracy to defraud the United States, obstruction of an act of Congress, and conspiracy to make a false statement.

We can thank Watergate and the fall of Richard Nixon for numerous words and quotes that continue to shape public understanding of political scandals. There’s “hush money” and “Deep Throat,” a “modified limited hangout” and “follow the money.” But half-a-century later, two other Watergate phrases are key to comprehending the FBI’s sordid role in suppressing The Post’s initial coverage of Hunter Biden’s laptop.  The first is, “What did the president know and when did he know it?” In a 1973 Watergate hearing, the question about the president’s knowledge was asked by Sen. Howard Baker to White House counsel John Dean.

The question in the title needs, I believe, critical examination. Why DOES the Left hate Trump so much? The answer, as usual, can largely be found by analyzing history. But first. Do they hate him because the average price of a gallon of gas in his administration was far lower than under Biden? Is it because inflation was low (around 2%) and trending downward? Is it that the USA was energy independent and didn’t need to beg our enemies for oil, deplete our strategic oil reserve or sell it to China? Is it because black and Hispanic unemployment was lower than at any time in history?
