In a letter to top health officials, Senator Amy Klobuchar, and three of her fellow senators, urged the amoxicillin shortage to be addressed.
“We write to express our strong concern regarding the shortage of amoxicillin,” the letter begins.
The four senators called on the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) to “convene the Drug Shortage Task Force and work stakeholders, including providers.. (snip) Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) data shows as of Nov. 19, there have been an additional 240 school outbreaks. There have been 564 school outbreaks statewide since the first week of October.

The Western nations, under the thrall of the WEF and their elites, have become primarily service economies, manufacturing very little.
They stupidly rely on BRICS nations, Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, to supply stuff to us.
And BRICS nations are in an economic war with the WEF nations so, starving us out, whether its food, EV car batteries, rare earths or medicines is smart.
Who are smart?
The BRICS nations, putting their nations first.
When we had Trump we put America first and were smart, too.

Most of our drugs are apparently manufactured in China. China is apparently still struggling with their Wuhan virus outbreak. I guess they don't have ivermectin or HCQ there.
We need to bring ALL prescription drug manufacturing back to the USA.

Sen. Klobuchar - why is there only one (1) licensed manufacturer of the antibiotic in the US? But you can also get the antibiotic from China - how convenient. Please clarify Amy? Why?

This witch, with a capital B, is running for President in 2024, thus calling for this. The same idiots that drove the US pharma companies out of the company with taxes and threats, now want them back. I remember in the 80's when all the manufacturing was shipped down to Puerto Rico for tax breaks.

A Minnesota talk-show host calls her The Senator of Small Things. As a Minnesotan I consider her a world-class embarrassment, a bloviating gas bag of cluelessness.

But, Senator K ---- we seem to have an overabundance, a plethora, in fact, of fentanyl in our country -- even in Minnesota. Aren't you concerned about that? Senator? Senator? (crickets)

I have viral bronchitis which has been hanging on for over a week and I was just given a couple of prescriptions, one of which is “unavailable”, according to the pharmacy. This isn’t the first time that that has happened in the last couple of months.
Amy is approaching the wrong people. She needs to go harass the guy who is currently napping in a mansion on Nantucket Island.

Everyone on Lucianne should send this horrible person and senator a package with 10 “sporks” in it. Her staff would greatly appreciate not having to turn over their combs.

RSV is a virus. Its cells are coated with proteins, which means amoxicillin is worthless in \treating RSV. Amoxicillin is also perhaps the most over prescribed drug - physicians admit that the parents often demand it.
RSV was first diagnosed in 1901. It is not some new Kung Flu. And RSV is so common, most babies by age 2 have had it. It is not quite the common clold, but close to it.
I read t,he treatment options, and there are few. (It is worth a google to verify what I am saying.)
Amoxicillin would only be useful where the patient had a secondary bacterial infection.

As a Democrat, Amy should know that China is working 27 hours a day to keep up with fentanyl production, so there's no more time to work on REAL medicines. We may have to find American companies willing to take on the mundane medical needs of this nation.
