Elon Musk is not a conservative.
However, we’re seeing the big changes that he has been bringing to Twitter, as he tries to bring a more level playing field to the “town square” and that’s a great win for free speech and against the suppression of the right that has existed on the platform for so long. When Musk asked, “What do you think of the culture war?” Musk revealed in his responses that he understood things far better than even some people on the right do.
He noted that the media is only allowing one narrative.

Yes but. The major social media outfits censor speech, as does academia. Its hard to find any mass media that doesn't preach the communist/pedophile line. But thats not what you hear in the bars, workplaces and over the back fence with the neighbors. An awful lot of people are speaking the truth privately, even if they look over both shoulders first. I bet this is what it was like in the Soviet Union.

The Chief Twit is the enemy of those who endorse Onespeak, the language of the authoritarian. He understands that. So far the Chief Twit is making Twitter a true town square. The authoritarians want a Onespeak Megaphone. At Twitter you bring your own soap box. The authoritarians do not allow a soap box. Elon is the number one enemy of the Onespeak.

#1, you win the bet...this is exactly what it was like in the Soviet Union. Except the economy and shortages were worse. But the Democrats are working on that still.
So why is Elon Musk the only person of any significance seriously working to get our freedom of speech back? We have half of the U.S. senators, more than half of the U.S.representatives, and more than half of the Supreme Court, so why are NONE of them particularly bothered that Article 1 of the U.S. Constitution has been taken away from us?

#2, excelllent question about the starting point of the wokesters. And here is my opinion.
I see the real starting point as being the Bernie incident during the 2916 dimoratic primary.
Bernie was making his campaign pith during a daylight gathering, and a morbidly obese woman, black and co-founder of BLM, walk up on stage, grab Bernie's microphone, and rranting about BLM. And Bernie stood there, waving off his security, cowering in the presence of the loud black leabian.
It was one of the most shameful incidents in American political history.
And everything went down hill after that, with the Me Too movement ending the careers of several news men.
Others may have other incidents in mind, but for me, the Bernie incident was it.
I spent 25 years in university classrooms, and many of the points I made, usually through humor, would not be allowed in the current academic environment.

First of all, it's not a culture it's a thugocracy formed by perpetual parasitic living off the white race and that describes the majority of them. Angry, loud and pushy is no way to endear oneself.

Great point. There have been no less than 30 pieces of legislation drafted to protect our first amendment. Not one has gotten out of committee over the last three years. I drafted a bill that won't go anywhere either. It would protect our first amendment rights from the abuse of Section 230. https://onlinefreedomact.org/online-freedom-act

#6, I just now saw your post. First, God bless you for your continued efforts. Please don't get discouraged. And keep working to raise the alarm among your colleagues.
This is no trivial matter. As someone who escaped from the Soviet Union, it frightens me to see how casually people here take the loss of freedom of speech. It is THE core freedom of a free country.
The argument that this suppression is only being done by private companies and not the government is patently false. These companies are doing it with the collusion of the government and being rewarded for that collusion. It is de facto governmental suppression of speech through devious means. And Elon Musk is about to produce the evidence of that.
Save our free speech!
