A new poll from McLaughlin & Associates offers a grim picture of the minds of college students.
The survey was done in September and was conducted in partnership with Yale University’s William F. Buckley program to get a pulse on what undergraduate students believe on a variety of issues, and The Washington Examiner reported the head-tilting results.
Perhaps the most concerning was how 48 percent of those polled agreed that “some speech can be so offensive in certain cases that it merits such harsh punishment like the death penalty.” The first part of the statement was that “violence in response to offensive speech is not a new phenomenon,” which is true.

You can start at the very top of the Democratic Party. That party is just filled with hate for whoever does not think the same as them. I could pity them for being so closed minded if they weren't so dangerous.

That's a double edged sword. There's a lot more hate speech from the left, so let's get it on!

Didn't their mommies ever teach them "Sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will never hurt you."?

This sounds completely outrageous... yet history, if we allow ourselves to be educated by it, tells a different story. One loses count of the governments that have devolved into a state in which murdering mere dissent has become the norm.
And do not think for even a SECOND that it cannot happen here. It absolutely CAN and at this rate, most likely WILL.

Fortunately for them there's no death penalty for STUPID speech. How can people who are ostensibly 'educated' be so damn dense?

I hope all these opinions get hung on the fools so they can own them when they go to find a job.

That sounds to me like some pretty hateful college students speaking hatefully.

College students think a whole lot of really, extremely, outrageously stupid, ignorant, evil, selfish things. This is why they are never trusted with anything important, unless well supervised.
"Be careful what you wish for" is usually learned the hard way. Sometimes for the last time.

If a person wouldn't hesitate to murder an unborn child, what makes you think they'd hesitate that murder anyone else?
