John Fetterman in a pair of Senate race polls taken since the candidates squared off in a much-watched debate earlier this week. Another 3.6% said they’d vote for a third party candidate and 2.9% said they were still undecided. (Snip) The results echo an Insider Advantage poll taken the day after the debate. The wife of Democratic Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman claimed “swimming in America is very racist” — as she likened her husband’s use of closed captioning to turning up the brightness on a smartphone. “Historically, swimming in America is very racist, and usually when you look at drowning statistics, it usually affects children of color, because of lack of access,” Gisele Fetterman said on the iGen politics podcast on Thursday. Gisele made the comments while discussing how she and her husband, Pennsylvania’s lieutenant governor, had decided not to move into the state-owned mansion in Harrisburg but made the pool accessible

President Joe Biden’s bossy wife Jill is playing “puppet master” behind the scenes at the White House and has taken a more commanding role in his administration as his cognitive abilities continue to decline, RadarOnline.com has learned. “Jill’s always been totally protective of Joe since the earliest days of his presidency helping to vet White House staffers before they’re hired and lending advice and counsel when it’s needed,” said one political insider. “But lately she’s obviously been running the show with her husband’s mental state in greater and greater question. Key presidential duties are falling to Jill, and she’s been

President Joe Biden touted U.S. manufacturing gains Thursday on a trip to Syracuse – where he claimed gas prices were down compared to when he took office, when in fact they are higher. 'We're down $1.25 Since the peak this summer, and they've been falling for the last three weeks as well as well, and adding up real savings for families today.,' Biden said. 'The most common price of gas in America is $3.39 down from over $5 When I took office,' he continued. The average cost of a gallon of gas on the AAA site was $3.76 Thursday. When he

LAS VEGAS - Divers found more skeletal remains in a severely dry Lake Mead near Las Vegas, authorities announced Tuesday. A Lake Mead National Recreation Area (NRA) diver found "what appeared to be a human bone in the Callville Bay area" on Oct. 17, the Lake Mead National Park Service (NPS) said in an email. The next day, an NPS dive team then conducted a full search of the area and confirmed the discovery of human remains. No foul play is suspected, and the Clark County coroner’s office is working to confirm the identity of the deceased. The grim discovery

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer was caught on a hot mic on Thursday telling President Joe Biden that things were "going downhill" in the Georgia Senate race with less than two weeks to go before the midterm elections. (Tweet) "The state where we're going downhill is Georgia," Schumer said of Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock's highly charged reelection bid. "It's hard to believe that they will go for Herschel Walker." Schumer's candid evaluation was caught while he and Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York were huddling with the president in Syracuse, New York, where the president was touting his party's

The owner of a Hummer electric truck was shocked to learn replacing his tail lights is a rather expensive venture. “Had a shocker today,” the owner wrote in a Hummer EV Facebook group. “A new passenger side rear light for the Hummer EV; $4,040 just to buy it.” Car review website the Drive confirmed General Motor’s list price for one tail light is $3,045. Without factoring in labor, the list price for a set of tail lights runs for nearly $6,100, a cost equaling more than 5% of the Hummer EV’s MSRP. “The taillights in the Hummer EV have small

Of course Jeremy Pelofsky and Christine Grimaldi want people to meet their new baby. This is their only child, after all, the long-awaited first grandkid on either side. But first, some ground rules. The visit will take place in the backyard. Anyone who wants to come over will need to take a rapid coronavirus test. Democrats’ path to maintaining their razor-thin US Senate majority in the final days of the midterm campaigns was narrowed by John Fetterman’s rocky debate performance in Pennsylvania on the heels of an underwhelming showing from Raphael Warnock in Georgia earlier this month. Fetterman, the Democratic lieutenant governor, struggled to string together sentences in his debate against Republican Mehmet Oz for a US Senate seat, putting on display his challenges in recovering from a May stroke. He also had trouble articulating his policy positions, which left him unable to blame his health entirely. Less than two weeks ago, Warnock, a senator

Aaron J. Brown still remembers his last conversation with Paul Wellstone, the fiery liberal senator from Minnesota who stopped in to visit Brown’s newspaper office during the final push of his 2002 reelection campaign. “He didn’t know if he was gonna win, but he liked where he was,” Brown recalled of Wellstone’s thinking. Figuratively, Wellstone was in one of the toughest Senate races in the nation. Literally he also liked where he was, the Iron Range, almost 200 miles north of the populous Twin Cities, a region whose identity — political, financial and cultural — was forged in the iron

Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., expressed disbelief that "anybody" would vote for Republicans, in an interview with The New York Times on Monday. The paper pressed Pelosi on "troubling" data for Democrats this November. But Pelosi "rejected the suggestion that late-breaking trends seem to favor Republicans," according to The Times. 'Part of it is, I cannot believe anybody would vote for these people," she said, before bashing Republicans’ campaign strategy as "endless lying and endless money." In recent media interviews, the Democrat has spurned polls showing GOP-favored issues like the economy and crime are what voters care about the most.
