The judge of the alleged Waukesha, Wisconsin, Christmas parade killer’s trial removed him from the courtroom again for disruption Friday before saying she had never dealt with a more difficult trial case.
Judge Jennifer Dorow called an early trial break for lunch after Darrell Brooks loudly argued with her over a supposed letter he wanted to submit as evidence, despite not bringing it into the courtroom, and accused the prosecution of lying about his criminal history.

The insane sovereign citizen types make me ill. This puke needs to be slapped down hard and forced to take a court appointed attorney and the forced to sit in a remote room to view the proceedings. This judge has weak knees, like OJ's judge!

I disagree with the opinion that the judge is doing a less than commendable job. Waukesha is in Wisconsin. Kenosha is also in Wisconsin and Chicago and Milwaukee are nearby. To prevent riots and protect innocents from further harm, Judge Dorow must be unusually indulgent with the self-described “alleged defendant”. She may look to viewers like she’s amateurish at controlling the courtroom but the proof of that and how well his rights were protected will be shown upon appeal. It is hard to see how anyone will be able to say he didn’t have a fair hearing or that he was not given the opportunity to defend himself. And when the trial is over, Judge Dorow will deserve a stiff martini - or a few of them.

I understand the guy is likely insane or possessed, but she needs to not give into any of that. She has to present a strong presence herself. She needs to be in charge. If she can't do that, she should step down.

Where are psychiatric professionals? Taxpayers are already footing the bill for his care; commit him for a few weeks evaluation & meds to see if he can be quiet if not civil.

Just get to the verdict, put this fool in the middle of the street, and run him over.

She's catering to a racial demographic, when the real measure should be: would she allow any other lawyer to behave this way in her court room? He's had more than enough time to prove himself capable of defending himself - and proved he cannot. This mockery must be ended, and that should be the only further mercy the judge should show.

Her goal, as it should be, is to eliminate every opportunity for this clown to appeal and in so doing limit the pain of the victims, their families and the Waukesha community from having to do this over and over again.

People who exhibit maladaptive psychiatric behaviors including acts of violence where there is no extrinsic incentive or premeditation for the acts should be given a choice in their sentencing. They can reduce their sentence by volunteering to participate in brain scan research. Research in mice has developed tools and techniques to tag very specific neurons in the deepest regions of the hippocampus so that they glow when they fire. Using painless miniature microscopic probes through the skull, researchers can capture the detailed firing patterns of these primitive brain regions to map the causal neural patterns associated with maladaptive emotional states.
This would be a first step in identifying the specific neuronal patterns exhibited by violent criminals with the goal of mediating their destructive impulses. The therapy uses microfiber light sources to turn off neuronal firings in a similar way that a heart pacemaker identifies arrythmias in the nodes of the heart muscle. The technology is widely used in mice and rats but has been banned for use in higher mammals because of ethics concerns.
We need to weigh these ethics concerns against the potential saving of lives that such research and treatment techniques could provide to society.

#10, interesting idea. I’m all for it as long as the “miniature probe” into his brain is about 10 mm. at high speed.

Is this a jury trial?
If so, the defendant certainly knows how to impress the jury. /s

I'm no lawyer but seems to me by stating ‘Frankly, It Makes Me Scared’ she has thrown the trial, the defense can now claim she is biased or tainted the jury.

The court security squad needs to treat him like the prison guards did Hannibal Lechter. Bring him in in a cage complete with strait jacket, mask and duct tape over his mouth.

This trial is being streamed around the world via YouTube (Law&Crime Network), and this is giving this man-child punk the platform he's always wanted to be a renowned big shot 'rapper.'
"Daah-rrrel" (btw, his mother calls him "Darrel") is a narcissist street thug who uses others for a living. His natural inclination as a "manipulator" is to set up the checker board to his advantage as soon as possible. He thinks he's controlling the female (think "Ho") Judge by talking over her and questioning everything she rules on. It's particularly frustrating when he demands something from her in exchange for he gives her a "yes" or "no" answer. As a Judge, she can simply say, "Since you did not reply to my question, I will take that as a ____ answer." Had she done that from the beginning he would have quickly realized his only hope is to play along, else he gets sent to the "Bounce House" next door. My only complaint with the Judge has to do with her being waaay too wordy and argumentative with the punk. Terse and to the point is best. He doesn't deserver a "law class" from a personal instructor, in this case the Judge in his case.
My take -
Brooks did not live in Waukesha, but with his mother in Milwaukee. His former "baby momma" was trying to escape his abusive controlling influence in Waukesha at a shelter for abused women. He had a restraining order keeping him from her, but he violated that and drove up there to get her. Her friends stood up to him and saved her, and ran him off in his mother's car. He was in a blind rage and wanted to exact his revenge on the entire town that was protecting his "woman" from him. Seeing the happy people enjoying their annual Christmas parade while he was "suffering" from rejection as a narcissist was too much to bear, so he made the decision to destroy the happy people with a deadly 3,500 pound 'guided'-missile. Being a narcissist he can feel no remorse for what he did, nor have empathy for the victims in the tragedy. In many ways this Trial is symbolic of a moral, law-abiding, America of old versus the "Never knew my daddy"-Thug-Rap-Culture of the black community today. The "street" raised Brooks and every strand of his DNA has twisted into it LIES that results in his contempt for everything right and proper in a civil society. He can only remain "civil" in appearance and action for limited periods after which he will run back to his "street" persona, where he habituated.
Prediction: The Jury will deliberate anywhere from 1 to 3 days before finding 'Daah-rrrel' GUILTY on all 6 counts of murder.
The Judge will hand a total of SIX consecutive, life-sentences to the former "alleged defendant," now "convicted," which will be enjoyed at his new place of residence in the wonderful Super-Max in Boscobel, Wisconsin.
--- P.S. You will have no chance for parole.

Put him in a separate room, with a video feed of the trial. Assign a competent counsel and convict this first degree murderer, and then execute him

This trial is ridiculous! The defendant is running the courtroom. There has to be a better solution than arguing with him EVERY DAY! The victims deserve justice. What a circus
