Fifty-six congressional Republicans are urging their colleagues in the House and Senate to vote against a wasteful, stopgap spending measure that would fund the federal government — and a number of Democrats’ wasteful wish-list items — through the middle of December.

It's really down to the Senate GOP to stop the rotgut. The House Rats are all gonna march in goosestep together (joined by turncoats like Lizzie Cheney and Crybaby Kinzinger), so House GOP members are powerless to stop anything there. The GOP Senators need to stick together as much as possible, though you can usually count on two or three turncoats there too (Murkowski and Collins, I'm looking at you).

This is a referendum on Mitch McConnell. If he allows this spending bill to pass, and allows the Democrats to write the budget for 2023, then it is time for him to be removed as Senate Leader.

You can count on Mitch to make sure those 56 get defeated next election.

It’s time to begin making Turtle Soup right now, not in January. Narrative from Republicans should be if we win senate McConnell has to resign ASAP, no choice since he worked against Trump endorsed candidates. Gone immediately not sure who best replacement is Scott is ok but wishy washy at times Johnson? Who knows?

One-sentence post, will probably be deleted. Aren't these the same Congressional Republicans who passed a record-breaking budget the first time they sent one to Trump, and like a dope he signed it?

Fifty-six out of two hundred fifty legislators is the best the "conservative opposition" can muster? No wonder we're losing the country on every front.

This has more and bigger power gabs in it than the anti-inflation bill. Republicans will be just fine with it.

The trouble is, these uniparty types are criminals. So whatever they’re doing to us is deliberate.
And if we think we’re getting rid of them in three years, forget it. Thanks to the Democrat Election Theft Machine (I picked that up on another thread), they’re here to stay for what they are in one form or another. So we’re finished as a free republic.
Thanks, Obammy.

Cowardice is just a different form of wickedness. Republican "leadership" is reprehensible.

Sadly, they'll most likely have to urge their colleagues to bypass Mitch, who will no doubt throw his ample weight around to try to stop this effort.
