Virginia Republican Gov.-elect Glenn Youngkin was elected to stop critical race theory in public schools, and he has promised to do so in office. Yet the woman he’s appointed for state education secretary, Aimee Rogstad Guidera, has numerous professional and financial ties to organizations that underwrite the spread of critical race theory, a racist philosophy that pits Americans of different bodily hues against each other and smears those born into paler skin.

I have repeatedly commented here that he is another one of these 'out of nowhere' folks who says he's "conservative". It worked with Trump, but not with Romney or Jeff Flake clone, they both claimed to be conservatives, too.
You may be screwed again, Virginia. Always risky without an ACTUAL record of performance in a lower elected office.

Another Republican disaster? How can we be this stupid? This tool is obviously a jackass
in hiding. How is it that the Republican Party can apparently never vet their candidates
properly? This stooge must have a history? If not, why was he selected?

I concur with each of you. Indeed, one must wonder why the Dems "let" Youngkin win, instead of contesting the close race....

I swear, these politicians "have their heads where the sun don't shine!" as my old East Tennessean friend used to say about the stupid dolts he had to deal with daily. These people are tone deaf, like the Manhattan DA. Youngkin is off to a bad start if he lets this nomination get through. I hope the Republican legislature in VA reject this woman, if that's how things work in VA. But again, it's not my problem Virginians.

I’ve been many things in my life. Being a Republican was and will NEVER be one of them. I’m not a troll. I’ve been on this web site for years. From the beginning in fact. I’m 110% MAGA but as proud as I am that I walked away from the Democratic Party, I’m even more proud that I never fell for all the flag waving conservative talking Republicans spewing their nonsense on FOX News. You need a list?
McConnell
McCain
Graham
Makorsky
Collins
Cheney
Romney
Chief Justice Roberts
*( Kavanaugh, Barrett ?)
KUNTziger
Crenshaw
Gowdy
Chaefetz
Cruz
— sorry I have to go to work. I’ll repost the rest my list some other time.

Visions of Trump's first two years in office. His advisors advised him to pick the wrong people and the first two years it was like a revolving door with people leaving left and right. Youngkin like Trump is a non-politician and is relying on people in politics to help pick his people. Trump learned and so might Youngkin that people in politics only know other people in politics.

I'd get upset but you know this was going to happen. Republicans can't spit and walk at the same time. This already appears to be another Gov Schwarzenegger repeat. Arnold pretty much hired everyone on Gray Davis' staff and acted just like Jerry Brown.

Look at Trump's AG, and other key administration picks, especially his initial picks, before casting stones.
