She was jogging at four thirty in the morning. I feel for her and the family, that’s a ghastly thing to have happen, but good grief! Since the beginning of time, broken, insane men have preyed on women. Mothers used to caution daughter s to be careful about that, do they not do that anymore?

"Empowered" wimmin just don't seem to understand - - that it's dangerous to be out alone in an unpopulated area. They don't understand - - that any healthy man can easily overpower them - - and cause severe damage - - up to and including death. Wake up, girls - - you're the WEAKER sex!

Sometimes I am driving to work early in the morning. I see young attractive women out running alone in the streets or heading towards the wooded pathways. I just want to scream at them to go home!!!!! My parents taught me very early in my life that life is not fair. Girls and boys are not the same. Unless he is in prison, a man has very little chance of being sexually assaulted. A woman has a very good chance of being sexually assaulted, and the more stupid chances she takes, the higher those odds go!!! Feminism is destroying women today!!!

Obviously a wrong decision to go jogging at 4:30 am. But I'm going to speculate she did that most mornings because it was the only "free time" she had from family, kids, and work. The problem is that she had to be "lucky" every day and return home safely. The vermin murderer only had to be "lucky" once. May the good Lord receive this new Saint in Heaven with open arms and comfort her family and friends.

Woman jogging down a dark street, headphones on to some jammin' music, sedan pulls alongside, man steps out of the passenger door, grabs her, shoves her into the front seat, slides in beside her.... her life is measured in a few very tortured minutes. When they are done with her, drop her body in a dumpster........and they are gone... Horrible way to end a life!

I don't understand why someone would go jogging at 4:30 in the morning, when it is dark and mostly deserted. That said, we don't hear much about women joggers being kidnapped and killed which is why this story is big news. She was the unlucky one who happened to cross paths with a psycho-predator. It would be my recommendation to everyone not to be out and about from around midnight until sunrise. I read the crime statistics and its seems like most bad things happen in the early morning hours while it is still dark.

Stop making Eliza Fletcher a “financial object” by titling her “heiress”, “billionaire heiress.” It’s an insult to her and to her family. She was a person, woman, mom, wife, daughter, granddaughter. She wasn’t kidnapped, killed, and only God knows what else because she was an “heiress.” But because she was an easy-prey woman brutalized and murdered by a vicious two-legged animal.

My condolences to her family....especially her young kids. What an awful thing to have happened!! Perhaps this will be a wakeup call to other women who typically jog this time of the morning ~ jog with either a running buddy or a large dog and STAY ALERT. These days no area seems to feel safe. We know who to thank for that.....don't we?

Re #1, she could have been jogging at noon and he would still have been able to grab her. She was unarmed, and therefore at his mercy. Any woman should know that a strong man can overwhelm them with a couple of hard punches to the face. They need to keep space between themselves and questionable strangers and be armed. And, yeah, kung fu and karate are fun, and may occassionally help a bit, but really, a .38 or a 9mm are far more effective.

Re #2, I have actually empowered a few dozen women in my time as a firearms instructor. When I am finished training a woman, she has the skills necessary to be actually empowered. Old saying, "God created all men to be equal, but Col. Colt actually made them equal".....and women, too, if they will train up a bit and keep a handgun on their person at all times in public spaces.

You think biden cares how many of our kids die of fentanyl? How ofen does he even MENTION it? Or how many are shot or thrown into the subway or punched? And they are ALWAYS the Amish. But biden always blames it on white supremacy.

Bill Barr, who served as attorney general during the Trump administration, said Wednesday that the Justice Department appears to be “getting very close” to having sufficient evidence to indict former president Trump. Law enforcement is investigating former president Donald Trump for removal or destruction of records, obstruction of an investigation, and violating the Espionage Act, according to the search warrant for Trump’s residence at Mar-a-Lago. Barr said during an appearance on Fox News that government investigators must consider if they have a technical case against Trump and said, “I think they’re getting very close to that point, frankly.” He added that the DOJ must weigh what the potential fallout

California officials say it will cost $14 billion to upgrade aging wastewater facilities that are dumping nutrients from treated human sewage into San Francisco Bay, which are feeding a giant algae bloom that has lingered for more than two months and killed tens of thousands of fish. The algae bloom, which appeared in late July, has grown to an immense size because of the tons of nutrients from urine and feces of the eight million Bay Area residents that is released into the waters daily—one plant alone dumps 85 million gallons a day that contains 5.5 tons of nitrogen. Scientists say the bloom was triggered by climate change,

The brainchild of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the “Commitment to America” will have four parts dealing with the economy, security, education/health care, and government accountability. McCarthy’s office has indicated the Commitment to America will debut in Pittsburgh on September 19. It’s loosely based on the “Contract with American” concept created for the 1994 midterm election that was credited with helping the GOP take over both the House and Senate.
