Bill Barr, who served as attorney general during the Trump administration, said Wednesday that the Justice Department appears to be “getting very close” to having sufficient evidence to indict former president Trump.
Law enforcement is investigating former president Donald Trump for removal or destruction of records, obstruction of an investigation, and violating the Espionage Act, according to the search warrant for Trump’s residence at Mar-a-Lago.
Barr said during an appearance on Fox News that government investigators must consider if they have a technical case against Trump and said, “I think they’re getting very close to that point, frankly.” He added that the DOJ must weigh what the potential fallout

If the documents are so important and have to be kept secret, why are they(the DOJ and FBI) leaking them to the Press? Barr must be as scared as the rest of them that Trump will use the declassified info that he had to nail their a___s to the wall. This is definitely a political witch hunt.

Nooo...he said they are close to the point where they have to DECIDE to actually charge him or back off/drop the whole thing.
It's put up or shut up time.IF thy do not have something verrrrrry substantial, 100% inarguabley criminal, and it has to be something they haven't previously let other politicos skate on...they need to get out of the "Pending Arrest" news game. Particularly now that Biden has hired Podesta as a "Top Government Czar".

Yes, they are close to indicting Trump. After all, there is only seven weeks left before the mid-terms. The indictment must be done before then.

Guilty until President Trump is able to prove himself innocent. A DC jury will have little to no problem avoiding Trump’s lack of guilt in order to find him guilty of violating the Espionage Act, Woodrow Wilson’s 1918 Act to silence dissent against WWI.
Would not be shocked if Trump is charged by Biden’s DoJ and held, without trial or bail (flight risk) for 12 to 18 months in solitary along with the 85 January 6th individuals stil awaiting trial in that rotten DC jail.
Bill Barr enjoys playing fool for Biden.

Barr is well past his “sell by date”. I am hoping Trump has a “corker” of an AG planned for 2025, who will raise Holy Hades in a reign of “the rule of law” upon those behind the 2020 coup and those (Bill Barr #1) who looked the other way. Deep state beware.

What Barr is saying is 'let's indict Trump but give Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Hunter Biden and others a pass.' The deep state in Washington is rotten and needs to be purged. An American General Pinochet would jail some very famous names for treason.

At this Point, I say Go Ahead "Make My Day"! I'm sick and tired of the Drip, Drip Drip! If they DO indict Trump, Republicans are going to come out of the Woodwork at the Next Election! Democrats won't know what hit them! Also, Republicans will undo ANYTHING the Democrats do against Trump. They know it and don't care as long as they can stop him from running for office again. Bill Barr and everyone like him, trying to bring down Trump, will pay the price once Republicans are in charge of all THREE Houses! Payback is hell. Wonder how Bill Barr, Biden or Pelosi would like to have Their home be the next target for an early morning Raid. Who knows what the next President will do, but you can be sure there will be some form of Payback.

Barr has absolutely nothing, but wants to appear on tv, and be relevant. Since he has nothing, and did nothing, he has to make up drama to get a network to put him on air. The networks would be well advised to ignore a man with nothing, but they won't, because he can be used as a tool to prosecute Trump. Without Trump, the networks can attract no audience, and without Trump, Barr is nobody.

Barr did this to Trump supporters when he was AG. He led us on about the Durham investigation. Now he's following the Muller group's playbook. Endless, meaningless dripping of lies to keep up a negative impression of Trump. If he actually knows something, he shouldn't and those involved should be prosecuted.

Absent a showing of prejudice (harm) by DOJ, adding an extra procedural step in litigation is rarely appealed and even more rarely reversed. In this case, a photocopied and paginated record of the documents as they existed at the time of seizure also needs to be created and preserved lest alterations and planted evidence should become part of the "evidence." After the FBI's deception before the FISA Court, no one should pretend this could never happen.

Don't tell me. Lemme guess.
They almost have one of his hotel maids ready to turn on Trump. "Yes, Mr. Trump told me to tear off those "Do Not Remove Under Penalty of Federal Law" tags off the new hotel mattresses."
Seriously, okay, go ahead and indict Trump. Have your fun, heck go ahead and put him in the gulag of your choice. But if I were you and when the shoe is on the other foot, I'd be sure all my library fines are paid up, if you get my drift.
'Cause revenge is gonna be fun on this side.

Here's my guess/ We will see numerous ex justice officials making speculative claims like this for the next 6 weeks. Then, in October we will start seeing the leaks from Justice about Grand Jury testimony and imminent indictment from a veritable army of unamed sources (tm). Followed by breathless reporting about exactly how long a conviction could land Trump in Jail.
Actual DOJ officials will hide behind the "cannot comment on ongoing investigation" bull and the alphabets will air every rumour non stop 24/7 up until exactly 27 minutes past the last poll closing on election night.
Then one of two things will happen, everyting will just pretty much stop, since no sane ADA will ever want to be on the losing side of this fiasco, or more likeley The DOJ will leak that while the evidence is undeniable some docs critical to prosecution appear to be missing, with the clear insinuation that Trump destroyed them so the investigation must continue. The ever subservient media will then go into a holding pattern that essentially says Trump got away with these felonies because of the two tiered justice system, insider corruption or paid off Re[ublican appoimted judges.
The fact that there never was any evidence supporting an indictment in the first place will be quietly shoved into the memory hole.
Remember, for the left the only thing that matters is the severity of the accusation, actual evidence, or an indictment let alone a trial and conviction are not required.

Why do the swamp rats keep leaking lies to try and defame President Trump? After all, the white house is occupied by the largest vote recipient in history. Why all the concern about a former president when our country and the world are functioning so well?

FTA: "He added that the DOJ must weigh what the potential fallout of indicting a former president would be as well, including how it would impact the country and what precedent it would set. He said it is his hope that this will deter the DOJ from indicting the former president."
It appears Barr is saying, "I know Trump is guilty of a crime but for the good of the country, he should walk." No "leaker" has produced a single iota of evidence Trump committed a crime. Why have Trump's declassification claims suddenly dropped from the debate? Every talking head in America is claiming Trump possessed documents that he had no right to possess. Why hasn't Trump sued the government in order to adjudicate his claims of declassification? That outcome would seem to play a dispositive role in the viability of any criminal persecution.

So not a shred of evidence of irregular elections processes but by Golly they really got Trump now!. This DA had no clue what was in Mueller's report till it was almost released. He had no clue about innumerable crimes. But now that he is out of the loop, he just knows Trump is about to get it. One more reason to neve trust the FBI or Dept of Just-Us if this is the best hey have.
