An Emily Carr University professor who made a career as an indigenous artist and scholar has resigned after it was discovered she is white. “Gina Adams was among a group of faculty hired in a cluster in 2019 as part of a ‘commitment to reconciliation, Indigenization and decolonization,'” the Vancouver Sun reported, adding a spokesperson for the Canadian institution released a statement confirming Adams resigned from her tenure-track adjunct professor position Aug. 25. “Emily Carr University takes very seriously the allegations that a member of our faculty made a false claim to Indigenous identity,” the statement read.

Why is a 'crime' to pose as a Native American or Black when it is permissible to pretend one is a gender opposite to ones genitalia and genes? Hell, we don't even allow actors to pretend they are oriental or Indian anymore.

If it is wrong in her case (and it is), it is wrong in all cases of pretending to be something you're not. All such actors should lose their positions just based on the dishonesty.

Whatever special qualities the "indigenous artist and scholar" was thought to possess obviously didn't exist. The huckster got away with years of deception only because she, like Elizabeth Warren, was on the "honor system." A lie was just as good as the truth, Neither the sex nor the ancestry of human beings can be changed by proclamation, plastic surgery, or internal feelings. It does not change because lobbyists or special interests are promoting ideas science has yet to confirm. It's laughable that universities continue getting scammed by people they naively put on the honor system. A DNA test can expose the truth so the person can be considered, or excluded.

Well, truth be told, she was actually born in Canada so technically, she is an indigenous person who just happens to have White ancestors. Does that make her Indigenous Native claim less valid? Or, does Indigenous only count for people of color and other "special" racial groups? Many were not born there but get special treatment. Why not a true native, POC or not?

I've never military used my documented tribal affiliation for as much as a drink of water. While I was lucky that my father was career military and had a sterling wartime service record, from WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, which kept a lot of the racism and discrimination at bay, in my elementary school years, I found myself denying my heritage until a black assistant principal pulled me aside and shamed me for basically denying my ancestors. Thank you, Mr. Gripper. Every time one of these fake Indians is uncovered, I hesitate to read the articles and the Replies because more often than not, there is the stated assumption that Indians expect special treatment because of race. It's more like non-Indians trying to get over on account of claiming a race about which they have no earthly idea. One overriding aspect of being an authentic American Indian raised in the '50s, 60s, and 70s is that you are from a monetarily poop family. I'm sure Elizabeth Warren was never poor, so those who hired her did so with a wink and a nod. In reply to #5 - I wholeheartedly agree that treating people differently based on 'race' is EVIL. I sincerely wish someone would have told that to President Andrew Jackson before he ordered the round-up, confiscation of homes and property from the Cherokee and Choctaw, and their forced March during the winter form the Eastern U. S. to Oklahoma. The Eastern Cherokee and Choctaw were two of the "5 civilized tribes," natives who voluntarily adopted Western ways of the time, including farming, animal husbandry, living in houses with white picket fences and attending church to worship Jesus Christ. Jackson, like Biden, ignored Supreme Court rulings to the contrary and pressed ahead with his agenda. That shameful act was/is known as the Trail of Tears. I still don't expect anyone to give me a drink of water but pushed too far, I might take your hair (Indian humor c. 2022).

Something really strange just happened. On Monday, large underwater “explosions” were detected in the precise areas of the sea where the Nord Stream pipeline system is now leaking. In fact, the explosions were so large that they actually registered on the Richter scale. If someone wanted to purposely damage the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, very large explosions would be needed because those pipelines are extremely thick. So it appears that this was a deliberate act of sabotage, and that is what many European officials are now alleging. But if that is the case, who was behind it?

As we observed the 21st anniversary of 9/11 on Sunday, two thoughts came to mind: First, of course, remembering the thousands of heroes and victims who perished on that awful day. Second, recalling how much we got wrong in the aftermath. President George W. Bush addressed the nation on September 20, 2001, fingering the terrorist group al-Qaeda and its leader Osama Bin Laden as the culprits for the attacks. This would lead to America’s longest war in Afghanistan where we ultimately accomplished nothing, and a long war in Iraq that was just as pointless and had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11.

It’s getting harder and harder not to abandon faith in the institutions we once regarded as respectable and relied on to keep the country moving. So here goes: the entire “climate crisis” is an opportunistic hoax; the entire “equity” (along with “diversity” and “inclusion”) movement is a corrupt fraud. This hoax and this fraud have permeated and overwhelmed every formerly respectable sector of American life, with disastrous consequences we’ve only just begun to feel.
