The only thing more laughable than Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s claim that spending two months on paternity leave counts as “work” is that the massive infrastructure bill in Congress would do anything to fix the supply chain crisis.
When asked on CNBC why the administration waited so long to take action, Buttigieg responded that “we’ve been working this issue from day one”.
Well, not exactly.
As Politico reported, Buttigieg was “mostly offline” starting in mid-August, and only went on a media blitz after Politico disclosed the fact that he’d been on an unannounced leave.

Time to put someone else in charge of this department. He obviously does not take it seriously.

Look, it's real simple. Lift the California EPA restrictions and vax mandates and let the truckers do their job of the long haul. Their job is tough enough to begin with - get out of their way and let them do their thing.
Now give me my two percent cut of your 3.5 trillion plan as I've solved your supply chain infrastructure conundrum on the cheap and you can go back to bottle feeding little brandon.

Stuff like this happens when we make believe this is normal
We accept deviant behavior and act surprised when the deviant is unable to perform the job needed
Butt... and o'biden are a disaster for America. We need to correct this soon or.....?

Identity politics is a ludicrous sideshow when an AOC or Ilhan Omar is involved.
It becomes quite a bit more critical and consequential when a know-nothing, do-nothing moron is chosen strictly on the basis of his sexual partners. Disaster is inevitable.

We don't need government to be involved in the delivery of goods and services. The effectiveness of the supply chain is determined by predictability. Waiting around for orders keeping expenditures at a minimum until hard orders are in hand extends the lead time. Betting on future orders proactively investing in resources based on a forecast, shortens lead time but comes with the risk of spending money with no return if the orders don't manifest. When government proves to be a major risk factor in killing orders you take less risk and stop procuring on speculation.
Government caused this but it had nothing to do with the transportation department. They are not the solution to an executive branch (including state level) caused problem as much fun as it is to blame to blame the new mama lil'Peter.
Emptying the pipe during the 2020 shutdown eliminated any buffer inventory that once was available to soften the effect of underestimating demand, smoothing the supply to meet volatile demand. Without buffer we experience the real market volatility in real time.
I'm going to trust the government not to impose new restrictions turning my investment sour after they just re-imposed mask mandates because the case rate rose to levels well below those used to justify ending the previous mandate? The same government that said it wouldn't impose mask mandates that now just did?
Predictability is everything to supply chain, there's no mystery here.

Not a fan of the Transportation Secretary, I still think he’s irrelevant. He fits the PC mold. That’s his only role, just as Biden’s role is to play a department store dummy while others do their Leftist work. Biden just stands there, mouthing words. The Secretary just stands there, being gay. Nothing is real.

When a man's lifestyle is like Buttigieg's trust me his daily thoughts are not on the job they are doing. His lifestyle is his obsession not some squirrely government given job. The parental leave tells us all we need to know. A person who seeks his pleasure on both ends of the dietary tract is not normal that's a fact.
Gay or Black obsession is a democrat thing and enough criteria for a job handout.

Butty only proves the obvious, that these cabinet secretaries are political hacks, not experts. (What did Dr. Carson know about housing, except for living in some once?) These departments are run by bureaucrats, who take their orders from the policymakers, who generally represent some special interests, to keep their plum jobs. Butty can go back to feeding "his baby". His presence doesn't matter.

Biden says it's not Buttgigs problem, but it private industry is causing disruption. The infrastructure spending could end it. Presumably before Christmas.

Nope. As much as he's incompetent and a sicko, the root cause is in the California laws 1) blocking any semi trucks older than 3 years and 2) blocking independent contractors in the state.
THIS is on California's lunatics in charge.

I deny the premise. Buttigieg is not a link in any chain. He was appointed to help Xiden get the nomination, because Xiden was worried about Bernie. Petey knows nothing about transportation; it is not even possible to tell whether he is on the job or not.
Takes two months leave, and nobody notices?
Fire him and you would not notice.
