Abolish the District of Columbia’s Clown Courts

Original Article

Article III of the Constitution allows Congress to establish courts below the Supreme Court, which includes federal District and Circuit Courts. If Congress can establish them, it can abolish them. In 1801, in the waning days of John Adams’ presidency Congress did just that and abolished the district and circuit courts of the District of Columbia. These two courts display widespread intransigent partisanship and demonstrably poor scholarship, exemplified by this week’s ruling on the new White House construction. Given the difficulty of removing so many bad judges in these two courts by impeaching them, it’s time to repeat John Adams’ move: Abolish these courts.

The Judicial branch of our Government has been infiltrated by partisan Democrats who want to control the Executive. The Legislative branch, is filled with Socialists and Republican cowards. The whole thing is coming apart ,we move closer and closer to a point where citizens may have to step in.

I agree that the earnest goal of much of the judiciary is to thwart the actions of our President, and by extension, the will of the majority of The People. But expecting the current collection of fools, cowards, and scoundrels that comprise the Congress to right this wrong, is to be childishly optimistic. Most of them share that same goal. They see themselves, not as agents of a self-governing Constitutional Republic, but rather as: entitled, self-aggrandizing, bloviating aristocrats. The lengthy term of office of many Senators rivals the longest of Popes, Kings, or Emperors.

Better yet, abolish the District of Columbia. If the real issue is "taxation without representation" (and it's not), turn the District back to Maryland. Maryland senators and representatives are already Dem, so they would well represent the interests of the District residents..... no problem!

The problem is not the District courts - it's the judges assigned there. My worry is that these same judges would simply be reassigned elsewhere and continue their miscreance.

The league is launching task-force meetings and “listening sessions” as two former NBA players demand to know whether its women-only eligibility rule is based on sex or self-identification. Commissioner Cathy Engelbert has rushed out a memo to teams nationwide on Friday after former NBA players Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White declared themselves eligible for the 2027 WNBA Draft by identifying as women. In the memo, obtained by the Associated Press, Engelbert tried to walk a tightrope, admitting the issue of transgender (biological male) participation will keep drawing “significant attention” while labeling it a “complex and nuanced topic.”

Social Security: Who Represents the Beneficiary? 7 replies

The reality of the Social Security system and laws is that the system design is fundamentally and fatally flawed. Unless we fix the design flaws, any other changes to the system are purely cosmetic and doomed to perpetual tinkering, temporary fixes, and eventual failure. We will have failed our younger citizens by failing to address the flaws. The options are painfully simple. Do nothing, which our federal government has done well since the program's inception, or truly fix the system. The crux of the problem is that the Social Security system was never structured to keep the beneficiary front and center of every investment decision.

The day of the transition of power in Colombia has finally arrived. Four years of its first left-wing president in modern history have come to an end, and the voters have replaced the former guerrilla and all-around clown, Gustavo Petro, with a much better option. It's a great day for that country and a great day for our entire hemisphere. Just to recap, Colombia held elections for president in May, with run-offs in June, and Abelardo de la Espriella, aka "El Tigre" or "The Tiger," won against Petro's hand-picked left-wing candidate, Ivan Cepeda. El Tigre is a lawyer —

It's been ten years since Hillary Clinton lost her race to be president, her hopes dashed by the guy she thought she could easily beat, and who has now gone on to another term. Yet, she still seems fully obsessed with him. So he not only beat her in that race, but he's beaten her ever since, if she has him constantly living rent-free in her mind. Clinton appeared on Kara Swisher's Pivot podcast, and she spoke about what Democrats should do if they were able to take back the White House in the future. Talk about projection. President Donald Trump committed to slashing foreign aid to save American taxpayers money, cut foreign waste, and remove funding from programs that do not extend American values in his second term, resulting in the lowest level of foreign aid flowing out of the country in over two decades. The Pew Research Center’s analysis of federal trends released July 21 reveals that foreign aid plummeted in the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, 2025, to the lowest level since 2004. The U.S. still funneled out $47.3 billion in foreign aid according to data from ForeignAssistance.gov. But when adjusted for inflation,

Gen Z was supposed to be the first fully digital generation. They grew up with smartphones in their hot little hands, social media accounts before they were old enough to swim, and an entire childhood recorded, uploaded, ranked, liked, shared, and permanently part of every algorithm on the planet. They were supposed to love every second of it… but that didn’t happen. A growing number of them are now trying to escape the tech lifestyle they were born into. Young Americans are deleting apps, cutting back on screen time, getting rid of social media, and trading expensive smartphones for “dumb phones” that make calls, send texts, give directions, and play music.
